  1. That credit card trick works a treat - cheers guys :)
  2. I did that in a hire car at 80mph - thought the gear box was going to drop out (it was a Peugeot 406) but it survived!!!
  3. Seems 'snappier' than the previous version?? (I've realised what it is - I haven't got Flash installed on this version yet and the flash file at the bottom about joining gold whacks my CPU up to 100% when I've got more than 4 tabs open on here - it's an old 667Mhz jobby :( )
  4. Already did mate: http://ftp.eu.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/...oxSetup-0.8.exe
  5. Firefox 0.8 is now out....
  6. My money's going like water nowdays mate - pair of # Granite Sky (1C6) please. Are you okay to use the same payment details I've just PM'd?? TIA
  7. You need to copy and paste the link otherwise you get the blank gif - it's showing that the IS200 has side repeaters like in the UK and the the IS300 just has the side repeaters in the bumpers
  8. What version did you download from the MS site? What version is installed if you do Help - About? What OS are you on? If it's not 2000 or XP then you can uninstall IE with this: http://www.litepc.com/ieradicator.html That should then leave you in a position to reinstall. Have you tried disabling any personal firewall, popup blocking or antivirus browser integration to see if it's one of those that is causing the problem?
  9. This could be a physical line fault - I had a similar issue a while back and the BT engineer had to rewire everything from the pole into the BT master socket - never had a problem since (touch wood!) The kit you're using can also be an issue - I'm using an Efficient Networks router now and it's totally rock solid.
  10. Have you tried Mozilla Firebird - it's a cut down version and much quicker - you can find it at www.mozilla.com/firebird
  11. You were very restrained mate - I'd have bricked it as my seats are stained enough already - wouldn't have fancied cleaning ***** out of there :yack:
  12. It all depends what you use it for to be honest - if you download a lot of large files then the upgrade will speed everything up, browsing will be snappier also which would be worth it. If you don't tend to use the internet for much other than occasional browsing and email I wouldn't really say it's worth moving up from 512 as the benefits would be neglible unless you spend a lot of time browsing....
  13. You don't mate, its just a new Google thing where you get invited and can talk about anything in there. Sorry if you took it the wrong way I didn't mean to offend or anything like that, it's great here (LOC) There are about 30,000 members so far and it's been going two weeks - only thing is you can only get in by invitation only so I just wondered if anyone had wanted to get in so I could send them an invite.
  14. Don't know if many of you have heard of it but Orkut is Google's next big thing, it's a closed forum type of thing covering all sorts but is invitation only - any of you want in? If so just let me know your name and email address and I'll invite you :) The Lexus bit only has 7 members - come on let's make it bigger!!
  15. Has something changed in the last couple of days with the View New Posts function? Only reason I ask is that when I do a view new posts it goes right back to the previous day even though I've been here browsing - does it only update when I post something? The new posts do have a little envelope next to them but wondered if I'm doing something wrong? A new search now shows 3ish today which is right but about half an hour ago it was showing back to yesterday?
  16. It's an IS300 mate and they do get tuned to crazy levels if you have a look round is300.net - faster than M3's etc.... If I do move over to the US I'll be having one of these :)
  17. These are right nice, wish there was a market in the UK for these as there were loads in Vegas. Have you seen the black Harley version - there's one kicking about up Stockport and I've also seen a grey F150 up there a few times with a massive bodykit on it. The alloys are massive as well on these - thought it was a lorry when I first looked at what was sat next to me!!
  18. Sorry for the daft question but I'm guessing these are better performance wise etc than the stock disks - will these make any difference to brake dust or will I need to change the pads as well??? Couldn't find anything about DBA in here so don't know what they're like.. Are they all gold drums or do they come in different colours (or is that just for illustration purposes??). Thanks in advance.
  19. Can't you just pretend you're taking pics for here and then 'accidentally' snap when they're in the shot?! Actually now I understand why I got arrested
  20. May be worth checking out this article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;828267 It might be worth taking a look at the log file that it talks about - are there any other OS's on this box or can you install one temporarily just to get to the file (you may be able to use the recovery console if you have an XP cd) otherwise it might be worth putting a parallel install of XP or 2000 or something on there that can read an NTFS partition OTher things you could try would be to reset the BIOS settings etc and maybe try disabling USB, firewire ports etc in the BIOS and then bring them back one at a time to see if you can identify the dodgy device. Other thing to check is that you have the latest BIOS version installed on the Mobo. Apart from that maybe dodgy RAM or CPU?? MS Server OS's do run much better on server specific hardware, I've not touched it on anything other than Compaq / HP server kit and never really had a problem like this....
  21. Went to Prague back in August, great place ;) Beer was 40p for Czech Budweiser or Staropramen - not sure what the measure was but they varied between about 400ml to about 800ish... Things got more expensive if you went to some of the newer pubs, like the Rose & Crown think it was on Old Town Square but it's good for food and watching the world go by.. Just be careful of the gypsies as they'll nick your wallet whilst they're offering you a blow job and make sure you get a price off the taxi drivers before you get in - if they put it on the meter you're knackered. Same applies at the airport - tell them where you want to go and make sure you get a price otherwise you'll end up paying about 20-30 quid and it's not that far....
  22. Yes mine does this as well - just tried it as I got back tonight, idle with the heated rear screen on and the lights dim and the voltage meter shows ~12 - turn the heated screen off and it crawls back up to ~14. Like Colin says nothing to worry about
