I know a fair bit about cars and can do most things but I'm no mechanic , i wouldnt know how to diagnose something for example but have a couple of friends who are which is useful for tools and a ramp ;p if you were closrr i could prob point you in the right direction. im going to miss alot about England. There are pros and cons to both. Im all up for a change though.

as much as i think a old lexus is worth what they ask its hard to justify it when i can drive the same car for a fraction of the cost lol. At the end of the day Lexus are great high end vehicles built to last americans will pay the price because reliability and build quality is important to them when british ppl have other prioritys. MPG has taken over here, ppl are obsessed with it. Why do you see a rich business man driving a bran new 60k merc with CDI on the back when i can afford to do 22mpg in my juicy petrol. Im 26 and dont earn a great deal. The government have also successfully got ppl in ecoboxes with the astronomical tax bands pretty much telling us what they think we should be driving by even letting you pay NO tax. How does that work? British ppl arent very car oriented. Americans see a car for what it is and respect lexus for what a great car it is. No hard feelings its just different cultures and way of thinking. Im the latter. My wife always said i was born with an american way of thinking its not a suprise to alot of my friends im moving there lol

I think i get you. but i wouldnt want to drill any holes or do any damage. Modifying the bulb holder in some way with another 12v out for a 2nd bulb would be my thinking, even if its just dangling in there it wouldnt be noticeable from the outside. There was a guy on here or FB that had the IS300/LE clusters and did a similar mod and it looked fab. ill try and dig out the pictures. Yeah the US IS has DRL in the highs like in the vid. The module is very hard to find but is a simple bit of circuitry and im sure the circuit diagrams can be found either for the IS or other cars that have the same

You mean like this Also very interested in modding high beam for DRLs like on this US spec is300 however i found out it used a specail drl module to regulate power output. I wss thinking to build my own. Very interested to see your pics btw i would be interested in adding orange side markers too like the US spec. Did you just add a led to the repeater that stays on? And where exactly did you put side markers in the fogs? Awaiting pics :p

I thought it was just panel damage from the pics? i friend just had a estate car reverse into him. I also once had to knock mine into R very quickly due to a car reversing straight for me! he just drove off not having a clue what just happened. ppl are stupid Keep us posted on progressions

wow love the Celica. headlights are a nice upgrade. look good Very nice IS too, a black one in that condition is rare. I like how the inner rim is painted black, looks awesome. but the new alloys should look good too. are they 17"s or 18"s?
