If it was me ide get hold of the trim from a breaker. I would look into carbon wrap also but not carbon effect, maybe a nice chrome silver or gloss black mmmm :) but you'd have to do the whole car really

Not sure i understand? Im a keen mountain biker and i often find myself down 1 track lanes for miles in the dark i have used my fog lights to benefit me and my car to avoid pot holes and pheasents lerking in the hedge! If a car is coming my way which is very unlikely (you would know if you knew the shropshire hills) i will dip my brights and turn my fogs off. No its not foggy but the more light on a small twisty lane the better trust me :)

I wish i bought a sportcross sometimes. A bike hanging out of the back with springys holding the boot lid down isnt a good look

Its a touchy subject because like you said many many car models use DRLs in the fog cluster. So i take it the law states that only the manufactures are aloud to commit such a crime and get away with it? lol. At the end of the day using your fog lights around town or when there is oncoming traffic is dazzling simple as, which is the reason people hate it so much. DRL lighting is a completely different pattern of light and is actually designed to help you see on coming traffic without dazzling (some country's its actually the law) so personally putting DRLs in your fog cluster is fine in my book as there is no harm been done and is no longer defined as a fog light. I just put high powered LEDs in my sidelights but thats just me, dont really want to chop up my OEM fogs :)

Well im pleased to announce i do not use my fog lights when there isnt fog mostly. I just like them looking clean! lol. If i did ever use them it would be in a situation where there is no oncoming traffic

Looks in amazing condition, most black ones i see are showing there age worse than others but your paintwork and bodywork looks fab. i bought my W reg one with a couple of body work niggles so its good sign yours has been cherished. btw 140k isnt alot, it will run flawlessly way into 200k the lazy 6 cylinder engines in these are built and configured to last

Why do people think just because a car is newer its good. My one friends was saying how much of a great deal he got on a 10 plate VW Fox. he said he only paid so and so and was geniunly asking me what he thought and i just said wow great, and just walked away sniggering. like below Someone else i know was super excited because she was getting a Mazda 2 on a 11 plate saying shes never owned such a new car and is really excited I really dont get the thinking behind it, first of all i couldnt justify spending so much on a car just because its new or newish when there are so many great used bargains out there. second why just because its new is it better? does it makes my 14 year old Lexus i heap in most peoples eyes. because ide much rather drive my W reg IS200 than a car like above in a million years. It runs flawlessly and being 14 years old means nothing to me. but you see sooo many of these types of cars on the road and to me its a no brainer you can get a beautiful Lexus for peanuts. They are all so souless as well, just blending in like boxes on wheels everywhere :yack: rant over

What? i watch many many car reviews that are entertaining done by presenters that have a clue. I havent watched it for years, i was watching it when they were making that transition from serious to entertainment and WAS been taken seriously by many. like i said they should of changed the name, even the magazine is called top gear magazine full of so called reviews and verdicts Entertaining? Are you sure? In the interests of fairness, I just watched a review on YouTube of a Golf. It was very informative, the presenter was perfectly watchable (and it was only 7 mins long) BUT if it had been on TV, I would have switched it off after 30 seconds (unless I happened to be considering buying a Golf). Bog standard cars are just not interesting, even to a petrol head (which I consider myself to be). You cannot make a successful TV program based on car reviews of sensible cars - TG know this and have changed accordingly (and very successfully). There may be 30 million cars on the road but only a small minority of those owners actually CARE about their car enough to maybe get interested in a pure car program. Your missing the point. I haven't actually watched a golf review as like you im not buying one but i meant in general and yes are very entertaining at the same time as being a great review on a car or sometimes not, just having a laugh without doing a review....some even have a similar format to TG and you know what the difference is? The presenters dont lie, arent biased, dont mis informed or get facts and figures wrong not to mention have a clue how a engine works. What put me off watching it a year or two ago is i counted five mistakes in a hour duration. Not on in my book entertainment or not. I actually love the stuff they do all they have to do is get some presenters that are passionate and knowledgeable about cars and it will be a great show

Yeah i found this. when i did a major service last years i bought parts from 3 different companys especially when i came across cheap makes on eurocarparts and then could find the same part made by a better/more renowned manufacture for the same price

Pretty sure it happens on cars with stainless steel exhaust systems that are petrol and high emissions helps it yes. love the drifting effect :) sorry tree huggers

Mine have been replaced so desperately trying to keep them looking good. As long as i keep on top of it they wont go bad. All this flooding doesnt help
