  1. Never heard of an is300sx - is it different to the is300se or was it a typo?
  2. It does sound like it's coming from a relay - I'll take it into the dealers today and see what they say.
  3. Thanks mate - that's a great help!
  4. OMG, I'm in panic mode - washed the car tonight and started to hear a clicking sound coming from the fuse box where the ecu lives. Locked the doors and with the bonnet open it carried on. Opened the doors, shut the bonnet and put the key in the ignition and without turning the key the clicking noise stopped. Took the key out and it started again. Got out of the car locked the doors with the remote and it stopped. Unlocked the car with the remote and it started again. Locked it and left it and it has gone. Any ideas? I've done a search and can't find anything on this. My warranty ran out 2 weeks ago !!!!!AAHHHH! Please any help much appreciated.
  5. I'm just glad all the documentation has been kept in a Lexus leather wallet!!! Seems a bit of a tight a**e if he charges 20p a mile for delivery, imagine if you lived 3 miles away he'd charge 60p !!!!
  6. OK, I got scared - I took off the air intake & air filter cover. found the 6 black things but one of them is covered by a cover which surrounds the oil cap. I was concerned as I wasn't sure if the bolts connecting the plugs had a special torque setting (I'm no mechanic) - ask me about IT instead! Anyway, look forward to seeing how The Don get's on!
  7. Cheers Don - I was thinking of taking pics at the weekend - much appreciate your time if you do this ;-)
  8. Thanks Zee - I've had a look - got scared! And will get a mate to do it at the weekend!
  9. Well I've tried to take off the 3 bolts where the aircon filter is but it won't budge! Any ideas guys - all help is very much appreciated!
  10. I've just been quoted £273 by Lexus Stoke for a 60k service, providing my own spark plugs & fitting them myself and providing and fitting my own aircon filter. Use your gold discount it pays! Beat that then ! :P
  11. Mine arrive today! Will fit them this 'avvy - will let you know!
  12. My bit - i've got an SE and it was my choice when I bought it at the time, I could have bought a Sport but wasn't bothered about the LSD or tints, chrome pedals etc - it's down to personal choice, the SE is as good as the Sport IMO. Auto / manual - as already said above it's where you live that suits the type of driving, I live near Chester and the manual is great for me. And to add to add the straight six sounds great when your driving the car hard and changing gears manually ! Mine's due for a 60k service soon, it's 3 years old and I have had no problems other than the corroded alloys which have been replaced under warranty. I think for £6k you'll only get an S model, as said above pay extra and at least go for an SE you will not be disappointed.
  13. Anybody know the radio wave of car remote's -reason I ask is a lot of people are having wifi / cordless phone's at home and they operate on 2.4 ghz ??? Could that affect the car alarms?
  14. Cheers whitebeam - I'll look into this on Monday!
  15. That old chestnut again, had a courtesy call from Lexus to book my car in for a 60k service, was told that the cambelt is now part of the 60k service and not 100k - is this right Anyway, quoted me £574 inc. vat !
  16. Neil, Why do you do this every 3-4 weeks - is that good for the engine? TBH, I did this once last year and didn't notice any difference.
  17. Thanks Phonedrome appreciate your response. In the ebay link it was for RX300 & GS models - have ordered them anyway - will let you know what they're like!
  18. Thanks to all that didn't respond - why do I bother asking questions?
  19. Been looking for this thread - my clonking noise on breaking is back - how many people have the same problem???
  20. The manual is also faster - that was enough for me! Oh, and I don't live in London
  21. Are those spark plugs in the link for the IS200 or GS? They are quoted as number 5304 Will Fit GS & RX. And what about the denso power spark plugs will they be ok on a standard IS and are there any benefits? Thanks guys- great price if they are for IS200!
  22. Slightly differently approach, I've got tomtom nav and my gps is mounted next to the cig lighter, I use the sunroof as the line of site for the satellites - works 100% no problems at all - hope that helps!
