  1. Still looks like a Mazda 6 to me, shame really. None the less nice spec on it - what's the 0-60 on the IS350??
  2. Not sure what you mean by open up on the actual events mate! Maybe I'll get a second opinion on the alignment elsewhere! Thanks for your help.
  3. Don't worry about the miles it's all relative as long as it's got FSH. Make sure it's got decent tread on the tyres - you don't want to be forking out over £400 on your new baby!
  4. I changed my battery yesterday for £2.50 from a jewellers. It's dead easy to replace, just pop the key off your keyfop unscrew the small phillips screw with an electricians screwdriver and then open the cover, inside you will see a smaller casing this pops out by pushing the buttons upwards. then unscrew the 2 tiny screws with an electricians screwdriver again and open the cover. You will then see the battery which is like a round watch battery and it just pops out! Replace and follow the reverse of the above to refit. Just remember that the positive on the battery goes face up. Don't let the dealer do it they charge about £10 !!
  5. Any of you guys know how much a bush costs to be replaced - been told by a garage that one is no good and they couldn't adjust the read alignment because of it. TA!
  6. When I first had my IS200 it had 6k on the clock and the garage advised me to go up in incriments of +1k to get the sequencing back, e.g. I had it serviced at 17k, 28k, 39k and then 40k onwards. I've just had my 60k service, provided my own spark plugs - iridium denso ik20 off ebay from the us for £35, supplied my own air filter k&n - £40 and fitted my own aircon filter. I paid £340 with LOC discount. I didn't supply my own oil - but I probably will next time as they charged my £35 If you do all of the above you should expect to pay £300-£350 for the service - not bad eh! Oh, you can fit the spark plugs if you want and that will drop the cost of the service by 1 hours labour. I chose to have them fitted by the dealer. Just reading back your thead, to be honest mate if it was me I would have a minor service as your car is out of warranty the dealer won't be bothered and probably won't stamp the book and get the 60k service next year - as your car has only done 45k the plugs will be ok (good for 60k at the least)! Good luck!
  7. Cheers Fluff - guessed this after and fitted them last night! Well chuffed now as they only come on when in reverse.
  8. The lexus ones have got thicker rim protectors, I will defo recommende them - I wont buy the standard ones anymore!
  9. Forget what I said before the colours were wrong, they are:- Blue & red - live ?? Black & white - neutral ??
  10. Hi All, Just fitted reversing sensors and was wondering which cable off the reversing bulb is live (there are 2 cables one is black & red and the other I think is yellow). My reversing sensors have a cig lighter adapter which I want to cut and connect to the reversing positive, the power is 4.5v on the sensors - is this the same as the reversing bulb? Thanks all!
  11. I've just come back from Cyprus and tbh I saw a lot of Lexus IS200's around Nicosia and not Altezza's as there were there last year! I also drove past the Lexus dealership - looked the same as a UK dealer as well.
  12. I'm sorry but this is becoming a JOKE! Change up under 3k revs, don't speed! You drive a petrol 24v twin cam, 6 pot and it sounds good when revved (and it cost you a lot of money) - So enjoy it don't drive it like your Nan!
  13. Thanks Colin, I bought the denso iridum power ones off ebay as recommended so I'll have to change them at 90k. Yeah, nice to see you back - you been away?
  14. Are calipers on different places on the IS? - McDaddys's are on the left and mine are on the right on mine.
  15. Why are the alloys stated as 17" when they measure at least 18 1/2 "? If it's me being daft then I'll accept it and go and hide somewhere!!! Where is the measurement from if it's 17" is it inside the rim?
  16. Thanks all! Special thanks to Colin, I didn't realise the plugs needed changing every 30k!!!
  17. Got my IS serviced on a 60k yesterday, the car doensn't feel any different. I want to check that the plugs were changed. If I take the air intake off can I remove the covers on the plugs and will I be able to tell if they're new? Cheers all!
  18. Think you should have blurred your number plate out mate!
  19. Thanks for all your help guys - it was a Lexus dealer who quoted me. Don't really want to say which dealer it was but it was near the Mersey Tunnel....
  20. That's what I thought mate - I'll order them off you later this week ok! Any link or should I just go to your www?
  21. Is £136 a lot to replace rear pads? 75% worn Can I supply them cheaper and are they easy to fit? TA! (Sorry just noticed the topic description should say "Rear" duh!)
  22. Sounds like the sort of thing you could buy from Liverpool market!!!
