  1. Out of interest how much did you pay for the auto dimming mirror and did you buy it from Lexus?
  2. It's working for me - this is brilliant - and I was gonna go to Geneva to see it !! woohoo nice and warm at home instead! I love it! What about interior photos?
  3. From what I've seen in the Car mag photo's I love the new IS, I'm glad I've held out and not bought another car - I'm pretty sure I'm gonna wait for the new IS. What size are those alloys - mmmm! Aido - as your in meetings do you want to post your mobile on here and we'll phone you at 12.15pm ok!!?!!!
  4. Mine's Strathcaron blue, which I think is the best colour (well I would wouldn't I?) I do like the granite sky colour and that would be my other option. Sorry to upset the silver's out there, but from what I've seen on the road Silver is the new Red, and before you start ranting I do think the IS holds it's own in Silver - so there! But silver is just becoming too common, would be nice if Lex could design some new colours in the new IS (e.g. Laguna Seca blue like in the M3 - not to copy but just an example)
  5. Does that mean you can use it for the audio off a mobile phone as well?
  6. I only paid £180 for my 40k service from Lexus Stockport! Would be cheaper for you to drive to Manchester and save yourself some wonga!
  7. Not as much as a bargain if you take out the 2 service pack for £420 (I think!) just before your 60k service is due ;) Like I did (and it covers everything normally covered in the 60k service) So for what you paid I get the 70k service for free!
  8. Well Tomtom navigator doesn't switch off over 100mph - somebody told me I've mounted my tomtom nav cradle into the centre heater console and it looks much better than sucked onto the windscreen. I also have a wired gps which is mounted on top of the ashtray and with the sunroof visor open gives me full line of sight (used it today and was getting 8 satellites). As mentioned above you can also get the static speed camera's as POI's from the checkpoint website. It's as good as roadangel, laser aler didn't work on my roadangel! Be aware that the laser detectors will be banned sometime in the future. PM me if you want pics or any more info.
  9. Sorry if it's already been done, but I've not read it until I found below: The new generation Lexus IS makes its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month, and includes Lexus's first diesel engine, an all-aluminium, 2.2-litre 175 bhp four-cylinder unit. Unfortunately the diesel is not available until next year. The IS is also available with a new 2.5-litre V6 petrol engine with a stoichiometric direct injection system, matched with a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential paddle-shift control. The car will also feature Lexus's radar-controlled Pre-Crash Safety system (PCS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Intelligent Adaptive Front Lighting System (I-AFS). Ten airbags will be fitted as standard, including a first-in-segment double knee airbag. Performance, traction control and vehicle stability will be further enhanced by Lexus's Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management System (VDIM). The new generation IS will go on sale in Europe at the end of 2005 with the diesel model following in 2006. ------------------------------------------------------ stoichiometric eh? Think I'll sign up a new nickname! Anybody interested in a group buy next year (and I'm being serious), do you think we'll get some discount bearing in mind the demand?
  10. I did mine at the weekend - AND I SAID I WOULD NEVER MOD - OMG! I did them in Silver & black Lexus stickers, think they look really good. I didn't want anything too flash that made me look like a boy racer in work. I'll post pics tomorrow.
  11. Great ! Have you got any pics - I want to see what the number plate looks like now, I want one of these but want to see what the read end looks like with a smaller number plate.
  12. This sounds exactly what I need! I notice slight rumbling on level roads and am going to pay the guys in Oldham a visit - thanks Anees! BTW, anybody know what the standard camber settings are on an IS200 SE before I go to Oldham?
  13. You could always take the hit on ebay and not buy it - not that I am recommending that, but still you maybe should have viewed it first? Plus, it look as if you have a long long way to drive down to pick it up - maybe you could meet him halfway, that way you'll know the Lex drives ok!
  14. I tried Optimax for a couple of months last year and it didn't make any difference what so ever, now back to Shell standard unleaded.
  15. Aren't BMW fitting run flats on the new 3 series - can't be that bad can they! Bored of reading all this stuff about fake pics, Geneva is proof of the pudding!
  16. If it is then it must have run flats as the rear alloys are bigger - aren't they?
  17. Fargo - are they a direct replacement or did you have to bespoke fit them?
  18. Thanks for being helpful Mr Fluff - why bother answering if your going to be an arse yourself?
  19. Then what? Hypnotise them and hope they will sound better ;-)
