  1. Hi Peter, would you mind posting details for the main beams, side lights and fogs you got. Did you go for 6k on all sets to match? Cheers!
  2. The throttle controller sounds and looks really cool, will have to get one of those! Where did you get it from may I ask? I personally like the car in auto but the turn the paddles on by pulling on the down shift, I find when I have the family in the car the changes are so much smoother and effortless. But when I am on my own and wanting fun I press sport and switch into full manual with paddles!!
  3. To be honest though, with this car, much like my Z, it is an almost impossible NA engine to tune, parts are stupidly expensive and results are pretty small unless you go FI, which I both cars is ridiculously expensive as the compression in the engines wasn't built for that, so you need to go all out on a rebuild. To do the Z properly it would have been £20k for good numbers and it still would have only got close to the Fs performance figures. I hate to think what it would cost to go FI in the F. But with 420bhp on tap anyway and being faster than pretty much anything non exotic on the road, I don't see the point. I like what you have done for noise and that is as far as I would probably go with this car. With the Z I think I threw nearly £4k at bolt on's and the UpRev and it took the car from 276bhp stock to 305bhp. Hardly worth it really with the power we have as stock in the F. False Economy. The best money I spent on the Z and like most people say, was on TEIN suspension, bigger brake discs and better pads!
  4. I guess if Whifbitz got enough interest they could get the license. Maybe it would work across the IS range to widen their sales scope?
  5. We probably could, it is just a case of uploading the map. The 350z I had before was notoriously hard to tune and UpRev developed a map for that which is now widely used over here.
  6. Brilliant! Will order them and some new Brembo discs ASAP!!
  7. I will definitely be getting someone like that round to do mine before summer gets into full swing!
  8. Hey Stu Mine is due any day and we have the Maxi Cosi Cabrio Fix. When the baby gets a bit bigger I will be going for a Recaro Monza or one of their seats as they seem excellent, my sister has one and it is great. Question, which early seat did you go with and did you use the base? I have just the carrier at present and doesn't seem great or secure with just the seatbelt to hold it in place. Also need to hear your beast soon, the clip sounded amazing!!
  9. On the basis of that 5 litre V8 I think I am sold! I couldn't live with a v6 turbo after owning this beast!
  10. Have they announced a full fat engine version yet? Or are they all 300h etc?
  11. Usually get about 34-36 when I go down to Devon, 227 miles. Normally reads about 24 when I look Only ever put Shell 99 in it
  12. Buy the 3 year service plan, 3 services, mots and free courtesy car. Plus you can pay monthly interest free. If you sell the car you get your money back for what you haven't used.
  13. Saw my 11th IS-F on the road yesterday, don't know why they are so common for me and others don't see any?!?! Anyway this spotting was not so nice, came along the A406 about 7:15am to see blues flashing on the slip road, as I got closer I saw that it was a silver IS-F that looked as if it had gone sideways into the wall of the slip road, past by quite quick so didn't see much, but driver was out and safe and getting a ticking off by the looks. Suffice to say I was overly careful the rest of my journey!
  14. Looked at the M3, The C63 and the XFR as well as the ISF, S5 Really wanted a GTR R35, but couldn't justify cost. Also looked at the XKR, but looked too dated. Glad I didn't now as nipper on the way! Test drove all for months before deciding but always preferred the F. All were fast and noisy, but apart from the C63, the F felt quickest, the C63 was boring and I think the missus would have put it into a tree, The M3 I saw 5 on route to showroom and wasn't throaty enough, XFR looked too much like the XF and I saw over 40 on the M4 corridor one day in one journey (I counted). S5 wasn't in same league and disappointing. The F just had the most toys, was as quick if not quicker than all, by far rarest and nicest looking. Next will be a GTR if I can have a 4x4 too or a Panemera. I also like the look of the new RS7.
  15. Spotted you for the 2nd time today, but today I was actually in my F! We drove past each other by the football stadium, but by the time I realised it was an F it was to late to save or flash the lights! ;0) No doubt I will see you again whoever you are!
  16. This is very exciting! Whifbitz are 5 mins from me and spoken to Paul a few times about my old cars and the brakes for the F. Although he hasn't worked out cheaper before, if he started a line of parts for the car on the site and built up a knowledge of the car then I am sure I would be spending a few quid with them on the F!!
  17. Peter, you near Enfield? I'm local! Not seen your F about? You talking about Whifbitz by chance?
  18. Hawks are as good as the OEM stopping power wise from my experience. Rears I have factory Brembo pads and discs currently, but they are both due a change soon, so will look into options. I think it was under £300 for the discs from lexus with discount. That seller didn't have any in stock when I needed them unfortunately.
  19. I have hawk pads from tarmacsportz an online dealer, can't recommend him enough. Direct from US inside a week and I think £150 all in. Give Chris a call. Pads are great, excellent stopping power and way less dust than OEM. Discs I got from Lexus direct, Brembo ones, worked out cheapest from dealer with my service plan parts discount!
  20. Always see you around and it parked up, I drove past you today in my white F whilst you were having your F washed. Are you a member here?
  21. Spotted my 6th ISF on the roads just now! Lovely Black one, very shiny, it looked and sounded almost a nice as mine! ;0) Anyone on here?
  22. Well it is very sad, but at least you are ok, that's the main thing. The silver lining could be the new Special Edition version imported from Japan!
  23. Don't know the car, but I got mine from Stuart at Derby and they are great guys there, great service!
  24. Yep it did smart a bit.....as for the Pagids, I really didn't really get my moneys worth our of them only did 3.5K on them, most of it around europe, before the accident. In fact theres a very rough looking ISF in storage with brand new brakes and nearly new tyres all round...typical. Really sorry to hear about your F, that is really sad! Do you think it will get back on the road?
