Hi
I have a lovely ls400, but I think I want an ls430, or gs430 or gs300 now. Mine has 103000 miles, upto date service history, Cambelt done, chichester blue in colour, tax and mot and 3 original keys etc etc
There's a guy selling an Ls430 that has 145000 miles on it , I asked him when was the Cambelt changed? His reply, it doesn't have a Cambelt, it has a timing chain lol
I had an Audi S4 1999 model before. I was the 2nd owner and took it up to 236000 miles but then I sold it. It never gave me many issues apart from wear and tear brake pads and discs etc oh and the upper and lower arms and it still had the original turbos on. The turbos never gave me any issues, maybe because I cooled them down after a long drive before switching the car off. But I might just keep my ls400
Hi
Thanks for the heads up. I used to have 2 Audi S4's a long time ago and my brother has the S2 which is very very rare, but something was pulling me towards it and something was pulling me towards an ls430 again even though I think the ls400 is a better built car
You only got 32.5mpg at 70 or abit over mph? When i went to Dorset from Birmingham in my ex ls430, at 70 and abit over i was getting 39.5mpg. Not bad for a big car.
Yes this is a very common problem on the ls430, a friend of mine had this problem and had to have the whole rear aircon overhauled. Cost him abit, so he sold the car and bought an ls400
Funny thing is like i said it started working after i pressed the unlock button twice on the remote key. But i will change the battery in the key just incase
Because my wife couldnt be asked to bring my down the sparekeys, i tried the same key again this time pressing unlock twice and hey presto got in the car the red light stopped when i put my key in and it started. Funny thing is i was driving the car for 30mins before it happened, went into the store come back and it woukdnt start.. god knows why it didnt work
