    Hi guys Well theres me saying ive lost my job and cant afford to run my w reg ls400 and then i go out and buy a mint x reg ls400. I couldnt resist it. It was a main dealer px, the guy there told me not to sell it on as the value is going up on these ls400's now. Its really mint. Only downside is i dont have the leather pack with service book etc but a print out instead. And it did come with 3 keys. But apart from that im really happy.

    Thats one of the first ls430's. I used to have a 2001 ls430 after having 4 ls400's. Hated the drive on the ls430, sold it and bought a late ls400.

    Well soon as the fuel light comes on, i used to fill up the car with £80 v power fuel. I tried never to drive it on reserve. But yeah i was getting good mpg out of it. But i prefer the ls400, thats the only reason i sold it.

    As much as i didnt like my ls430, on a run from.Birmingham to Dorset i was getting 38.1 mpg and locally i was getting around 24 mpg

    This car has been on sale for a couple of months. There has to be a reason why it hasnt sold yet. It was on done deal too. Personally i think it looks rubbish. An ls400 should not be messed about with like that.

    Hi Guys Well its a sad day for me. Ive just put my Ls400 up for sale due to losing my job earlier in the month and now cant afford to run it and baby on the way too. I just dont believe it. I really like my ls400, but ive got to do whats right.

    On the ls430 you cant just buy the bearing, you have to buy the whole hub. I remember it being just over £300ish

    I wouldnt get an ls430 ever again. I think the ls400 is better in many ways and more reliable as the ls430 has too many toys that can go wrong. I think the 400 is better build

    My wife loves my Lexus. She always said to me she hates Bmw and Mercs. She doesnt mind an Audi as long as its a S4 or an RS4.

    He put that gs430 on 3 times. That was a no reserve too. Something aint right.

    I have to agree with Bluesman on this. I have a good friend who services my Lexus for me. He is head tech guy at Mercedes and has worked for them for around 20 odd years. He has always told me and my brother never to buy a Mercedes. He said if you do buy one, make sure you have some savings to spend on repairs because they are rubbish for reliability. The turbos tend to blow, gearbox issues, radiator issues, ecu issues. He also said whoever tells you mercs are reliable, dont believe a word they say. So good luck.

    They are all a bunch of thieves. On another note its a good job you didnt buy the Audi A8 as as Audi are known for having issues with their automatic gearboxes.

    I dont like car traders. They tend to make out their cars are worth more than they should be. For example on ebay there is a 2000 Ls400 with over 145000 miles on it etc at £2850. Then that must mean my 2000 with just 100383 miles on it etc Must be worth over £3000.

    I have to tell you guys that mercedes dealers do the samething. My friend had rust on both drivers and passenger side doors, so mercedes not only put on brand new doors, but they resprayed the whole car.

    Hi I currently drive an Ls400 but am looking at a 51 reg rx300. Can anyone give me some advice on what to look out for? Also my main question is, do they have gearbox issues? Thanks in advance.

    That Gs430 is back up for sale ebay again. I dont get it, it was a no reserve. I dont think he got what he wanted for it.

    Yep thats the one. Yes he did say he wants mine because its one of the last ones. But then it makes me think, because mine is one the last ones, will the value go up? I do like mine.

    Thanks guys. I dont think i will part with my car. I do like my car. His is the v reg gold ls400 that was advertised so brilliantly on ebay not long ago. The one with the funky alloys and lexus owners club sticker in the windscreen
