  1. GULP!?! Service plan purchased, but Swindon Lexus have just confirmed that they did not do a cambelt change. Despite carrying out 8 services from new, they haven't done the cambelt! Last service receipt (121800 miles) still no cambelt change! £416.72 going out on Thursday for a cambelt change and tensioner!?! Also new key and service. Mmmmm free latte. How much do I need to drink to recoup my costs?
  2. Very nice. I'm currently at Lexus Cardiff to get my key done and to discuss the service plan. I've got my coffee and I've just been offered the use if the ipad as recrptionist saw me using my phone for the Internet.
  3. Silly question, but did they paint them, or did you do it? (were they black to start with)
  4. Hi Garry, welcome to the LOC. Hope you continue to enjoy the car. is the first gen? or did they only start doing the 220D in the second Gen?
  5. I haven't looked into the prices down here in south wales, but I shall make some enquiries.
  6. Think I found them. In crewe? I'd need to find centre caps as well. How much should a refurb cost if I'm unable to work out how to do it myself?
  7. Thanks Raymond. I thought 140 may be on the high side. I'll keep my eyes open and hope the prices become a bit more realistic.
  8. They'll need a refurb, but they're pretty good I think. They'll need new tyres, but they'll be fine for my summer tyres. Just not sure if 140 is a good price.
  9. You can see the evolution from the last gen. I thinks it's got a good 'stance'. That rear as well!
  10. Set of 4 17" is200 alloys. £139.00 + £29.00 for delivery. Is that a reasonable price to pay?
  11. Yeah, if you drive like a normal person, then that's about right . . I'm driving like a priest. It isn't fun or cool . . . .
  12. That walkaround has made me want one even more . . just got to find £25,000 as minimum . . .
  13. I'll see what I can do. I've got 404 and 371 out the last two full tanks. I'm hoping to break 400 again. Last two petrol stops, I still had 8 litres in the tank.
  14. 209.1 miles in. Lets see if I can get 450 out of the tank.
  15. I would be tempted, but others have said that they have messed up the coding. I don't mind going to Lexus Cardiff and I don't mind paying the price.
  16. Yeah, I've been quoted the same at Lexus Cardiff. Lets see if I can get a discount with my Gold Membership.
  17. . . . . There is a '92 LS400 on the British Autotrader as well. (I'm not he seller, just pointing out . . ) no '90 plates coming through though . . . .
  18. The hiring of a car from Cardiff is good. It must be annoying to have the car sent back after just picking it up, but they'll get it sorted quickly.
  19. Plastic screws for front number plate attached, new wiper blades fitted and fluid levels checked. Cigarette lighter fuse and CD multi changer installed. Still not got the parking sensors working. . . Winter tyres on. Taxed and Insured (okay, I know these two are legal requirements) but I've got to stop spening on this car. I've been lucky and it's only small expenses so far, but I've only had the car three weeks.
  20. Not noticed any temperature changes, though the car does run smokey sometimes. Oil levels are good and I did not notice any dripping and I had my head under the front of the car for a good 5 minutes. I think I'm just being paranoid. Stuart.
  21. Congrats voyager. Glad it appeared to be a relatively easy fix.
  22. Hope all is okay. I noticed oil on the floor after bringing the car home today, I'm hoping it's residue left from the old car and the increase in temperature outside is simply washing it away. Will check my levels later.
  23. I'm in. I'll make the trek from South Wales, checking on distance and time needed to leave.
  24. won another £3.20 on the EuroMillions on Tuesday. Wonder what I'll win tonight. £37Million has a nice ring to it!
