  1. Having read the earlier parts of this thread, I have spent the past week (around 700 miles) driving in PWR mode. Presumably, it uses the battery a bit more when accelerating. The upshot is that I am getting 2-3 mpg more than I was used to on the same runs.
  2. I also use a TomTom rather than the Lexus system. For the price of one year's Lexus update I have a sizeable TomTom with free lifetime maps and traffic updates. Also I can enter Lat/Long into the TomTom, which is handy as we do a lot of walking and I need to navigate to isolated car parks that don't seem to have a postcode.
  3. Now coming up as " This listing (262879973973) has been removed, or this item isn't available. "
  4. It is going back a while but someone here devised a solution to having no TPMS. It will be in a thread somewhere but I seem to remember that it involved putting the sensors into a pressurised box that sat in the boot. This seemed to fool the system into thinking that they were on the wheels and the warning lights did not come on.
  5. It is certainly not easy to find with fingers alone. I recommend taking a mirror when you look for it, underneath the steering wheel.
  6. ... or get a quote from two different Lexus dealers, probably for similar amounts.
  7. Kaycee is right, just pump the tyres up and the light will go out. I also had squealing brakes, around six months after getting the pads and discs replaced. I took it to my Lexus dealer who spent two hours with it but was "unable to replicate the fault". I managed to "replicate" it twice within the first 100 yards of leaving the dealer. I don't know how common it is but the dealer did say that they get the one one in with that fault.
  8. Catchhster, I get exactly the same every time I start mine. The fact that I live in a 20mph area and so drive slowly, using the battery, as I near home means that it is pretty depleted when I restart it. I was also disappointed that it started by engine each morning but that just seems to be the way it is.
  9. If not asking for straight discount, try asking them to throw in a couple of years of warrenty for free. After all, they must have confidence in the vehicles they sell......
  10. I don't know if these are the ones which are too pricey - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261944838789?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT but they might be worth a look if not. (They do seem to be out of stock at the moment).
  11. If I remember correctly, these symptoms can also be associated with issues on the O2 sensor, possibly because of a small hole in the exhaust. Others have reported the same set of lights when the fuel cap is not connecting properly. I had the same when I added some Red X to a tank of SuperUnleaded petrol. Once the tank was emptied and refilled the lights cleared. Good luck luck, whatever the cause turns out to be.
  12. Another thing that disappeared along the way, unless you get an SE-L, was the cooled seats. They were standard in my '55 GS300 SE but not on later SE models of the GS450H.
  13. Both my old GS300 and my newer GS450 merely release it. I am not aware that it should open fully.
  14. Today I recieved a recall letter from Lexus for the 2005 GS300 that I part exchanged with them seven months ago. You would have thought that they would have made a note of change of ownership whilst they had it. The recall is regarding the fuel pressure sensor. Should I be expecting a similar letter for the 2011 GS450H that I bought from them?
  15. Wayne, I have followed your recommendation and bought these two products - but as clarification, are you using using one product on top of the other? Regards Mike
  16. Could someone recommend a really good car wax. I don't mind washing and waxing the car but find that most available waxes only last a couple of weeks before it needs doing again. Ideally I would like one of those really serious wax jobs that last years and costs hundreds, but until then could someone let me know what they use and where you can get it from. Cheers.
  17. LexusStore on eBay are selling roofracks here - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261944838789?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  18. Whilst I do not have an answer to either, I have also wonderd what it would be capable of if it were not limited. Not that I would dream of going that fast.
  19. I have wondered about the second question myself. The GS450H is so quite that more than once I have pulled up and got out and then wondered why it would not lock - because it was still running.
  20. John is correct. Until 2010 the Sat Nav was disc based and updated discs can be purchased online. Post 2010 the Sat Nav was HDD based and updates are only available through a Lexus dealer. They did continue producing discs after 2010 but if you have any concerns then a quick phone call to your local dealer should confirm their suitability, before you buy online.
  21. Whilst the manual is not clear on the matter I have just spent ten minutes in my car trying to find the additional FM options. I am guessing that because we have DAB that FM2 and FM3 are not available to us.
  22. It is not not one of those options that can be switched on or off by Lexus techicians as I have asked myself. It would certainly be nice if it was.
