  1. Hmmm just looked at that would be additonal 35 squids ish so just over 250 in total. Looks easy enough to fit so no dealer cost there i giuess. Sound clips on you tube sound amazing!
  2. Why not just buy aux jack and plug it in? You would still need the phone out to select songs etc.
  3. Are shipping quotes on ebay (i am checking with seller) fully inclusive of all associated costs? Is there anything else i need to be wary of? Stu
  4. Hi all, been on here a bit now and thought i should do a intro! Was looking at a new car and initially considered M5, S6, M3, Porsche Cayemnne, E63 AMG and Jag XFR bu then came across the IFS through the recommendation of a mate. Did my research and that was that! More reliable, Cheaper or same to insure, cheaper to run, Just as good if not slightly futrther behing in terms of performace, better spec as standard and IMO looks the nicest! So bought a grey ISF 58 reg last week and love the thing! Real weapon of a car. Loo forward to being a member of the sitte. It has been VERY useful so far. Stu
  5. Just bought san ISF and there is some very light wear on the side of the drivers seat from people getting in and out. I have Megs leather feeder to keep the leather supple and not sap natural oils but is there anything that can be done to repair/limit the wear? Stu
  6. Poor boys wheel sealent. Recommended by heaps of folks on detailing world and i love it.
  7. Haqving owned 2 Mazdas (RX8 and MPS) three VAG cars (Fabia VRS, Seat Leon and golf Mk2) a french car (306) and a Mitsubishi FTO and now an ISF i would summarise as below. 1. Jap cars are always amazing bang for buck when compared to their german counterparts in terms of spec for your money. 2. I didnt find the build quality as good in the MAzdas as i did in the VAG cars BUT the lexus and Mitsubishi are as good if not better in some respects thatn VAG. 3. Jap cars ARE more reliable than VAG cars and early issues with wheel corrosion across jap cars seems to be resolved BUT paint seems to be a lot thinner and so chips more easily. Mazda's had a fair few squeeks in them which was irritating but lexus and FTO were impecable. 4. French cars a cr@p! 5. If you buy Jap there is definately a pecking order in terms of quality. My lexus is remarkable in compariosn to my Mazdas. 6. Lexus customer service is FAR superior to any VAG experiance i have had. Overall Jap cars are more reliable, better speced and priced compared to VAG rivals biut there is still a pecking order in terms of quality. Off topic a but but hey ho!
  8. Congratulations matey. My daughter is 13 weeks old. Be prepared for a lot less sleep but a huge amount of pleaqsure as she grows.
  9. Was going to e-mail so I have it on black and white :0) Stu
  10. Think the forum has been reset using an earlier version. Couldn't access it earlier and now many threads are gone and my post count is 20 fewer.
  11. I think the price is fantastic. Yeah, will get them looked at :)
  12. Extended warranty was approx 750 for a year or 1100 for 2 years. Was amazed it included breakdown cover of the level stated. Getting rear tyres soon so will have second opinion on discs and pads. Was told rear discs had mild corrosion and pads at 70% worn.
  13. Having purchased extended warranty, will fitting a CAI invalidate it? Stu
  14. First service done at Woodford lexus and what can I say. Fantastic experience from start to finish. The dealership is very nice indeed, kindly welcomed and offered a drink while I wait. They currently look after 8 ISF's! so know them very well. One chap let one of the lexus staff borrow his for a weekend as he herd how much is son like them! I was quoted £326 and that what it came to. Free safety check revealed new pads and discs probably needed at next service. Rest of the car was fine. Battery was fine, they replaced both key fob batteries free of charge, re-aligned the rear bumper free of charge (I had a slight bump), wheel skipping is expected on wheels of this size on full lock when reversing and was checked out. I purchased extended warranty for 2 years which includes top of the range RAC breakdown cover. I think I will also purchase a service schedule as they give you 3 free MOT's with the deal. They cleaned the car well as well. Very impressed. There is a chap who drives from Middlesbrough to Woodford green as the dealers up there are not familiar with the car! Well done lexus. I was nervous to see how it would go being the first service but I am VERY happy. They even quoted 175 fitted (each) for rear Bridgetone potenzas, Black circles have them at 220. Stu
  15. I would not touch one of these if it has not had FLSH and I imagine most members would be the same.
  16. I think cars like this need main dealer service history. I won't be taking mine anywhere else. My closest dealer is 30 miles away though :0( Ultimately this is a 50-60 k performance car. Running costs will never be cheap but are cheaper than bmw, merc and audi etc
  17. It is 500 for them in p/x but 1k sold by dealers. Good thought though.
  18. Cheers guys. Dave - that is exactly what I was going to do. Will start at 17.5 plus my car and top out at 18 plus my car and be prepared to walk away. That's the plan anyway!
  19. Cheers fellas. Off to the dealer tomorrow to have a look and hopefully do a deal. 18.5 is the max i think its worth. Will see how it goes and report back tomorrow. Hope I don't make it obvious I want the beast! Lol
