  1. the voltmeter is fairly accurate but just because it says 12 volts it doesnt mean it will start your car look at it when you are actually starting it ie: when it has the load on it
  2. I saw that the other day I say we hire them to patrol the streets at night :D I get great satisfaction seeing these thugs getting their comeuppance
  3. offset is too low, they will be sticking out from the arches and will rub
  4. hi benji try posting the same question in the appropriate section may get a few more views and answers :)
  5. mmm i see someone edited my above post to hide the fact the main and original members have left for another forum. It did have " as most of the established members have now left for the other forum" or words to that effect..... very sad...... what is sad Rob is that you keep trying to make your point, a point that most here are well aware of yes certain members no longer post here yes certain members were banned for underhand tactics or dubious actions yes certain members were removed for the best interests of LOC however "most" of the established members have not left, there are far more left here than the handful that have left or been removed many of them deciding to frequant both forums we believe in moving onwards and not keep dwelling over the past :)
  6. the search button is your friend recent post
  7. it is a good idea, and one that is in the pipeline to be implicated :D
  8. a mistake or marketing ploy ? what seems to be the most favourable colour and we didnt get it now when sales are low they decide to offer it !
  9. out of interest is there any alloys from other makes of car that will fit the is 200?? some mazdas some hondas there are three elements to a wheel fitment PCD offset and bore size all three need to be correct !
  10. Any details on these brackets yet Mat? I'm considering a double Din unit for my car and want to use proper brackets this time rather than DIY'ed ones. Mat is currently in limbo moving from Germany to the UK I am sure he will get back to this as soon as he gets settled in
  11. cant say i have seen a white one over here, it was never an optional colour red looks great !
  12. depends how much you want to spend, and who will be mapping it if you are using a local tuner for mapping ask him what he can work with HKS are good but have limited authorised mappers Greddy are good Motec very good
  13. all models have a slight tint to the windows what many tinters do is put a legal tint on, but combined with the original tint it may well put it over the accepted levels I do believe that to dark a tint is a safety concern, you wouldnt wear sunglasses at night .......would you ?
  14. thats going to take some cleaning up never try and understand human behaiviour
  15. most local watchmakers or electronic shops do them and they are not expensive
  16. most probably is but it is the 6 cylinder 1gfe Altezza as written in the ECU it is also definetly a tte kit so will fit a Lexus IS200
  17. Mat, I assume that's in GBP for the parts, any idea what the freight cost to australia straight out of Germany would be? I know it might become a bit of a pain for me posting all these questions on the UK forum, but the aussie one doesn't have an awful lot of activity on it... Thanks anyway mate this thread is 7 years old !!!
  18. pretty much a yes there are quite a few 200's with 220 wheels on so imagine it works both ways although i think the 220 wheels are on some specs wider than the 200
  19. nice one, glad you are happy with it :D
  20. judging that the ecu and various other important bits are in the pictures, i would believe the car is not on the road any more, the intercooler shows signs of being involved in a crash, but not a significantly major one, the charger unit is in a well protected position so should be ok
  21. sorry bazza but i use my is200 intermittantly, so should i give it a good run on the motorway every now and then ? coz at the mo i do as you say would do harm ? its not particulary doing it harm, but doesn't do it much good ! a quick blast does it the world of good, try and use the rev range through the gears, try to vary speed and what gears you use, getting it up to temperature will allow any condensation in the engine and exhaust to dispel the ecu learns how the car is driven, so vary your driving to use all aspects of the ecu settings
