  1. I only have one set of the 20" left. I drove that black car for about 5,000 miles and while the ride is slighty compromised, the looks more than make up for it!
  2. It is a completely differant colour. I would say it is a dark gun metal with wee touch of blue. I think it looks great, I have an IS300 Sportcross with Black leather and a 2004MY IS200 SE with Beige leather on as demos. It has also been well received by other customers.
  3. Am I so predictable John, can you let me listen to your creaks? If it's just when warming up, we may need it overnight. Ian
  4. Which survey is this and where did you get the info? Edited Just got my copy of Auto Express and now see where it is from. I think I will have this issue gold plated :D Ian
  5. I would like to thank everyone for their slogans. I have finally come to a decision……..and the winner is…………. Fidgits, with Relax………let Lexus Edinburgh sweat the details. Well done mate. PM me your address and I will send your prize. Kind regards Ian
  6. There have been no prices released for the RX300h. Any figures quoted by any dealer is purely speculation. It is my understaing that the air suspension will not be in the SE-L due to technical problems, could well be the positioning of motors. I am expecting a little more spec - bluetooth for one. The performance is in line with a 4.0 engine, hence the 400 in RX400h, not a 5.0 as someone posted here. The fuel economy will not be 50mpg, more likely mid 30's.
  7. I am afraid I don't have the list available. What this meant was that Lexus was first with these others joint second and the rest there after.
  8. This is probably something that you would not normally get to know but I think you will find interesting. As you know we all work very hard to ensure our (Dealer) relationship with our customers (You) is as at the highest standard possible. Lexus GB also tries very hard to have the best relationship possible with their dealers. As a result of this they have been once again voted first in the latest Dealer Attitude Survey conducted by the National Franchised Dealers Association. I would like to extend my congratulations and thanks to everyone at LGB, with this sort of support it makes my job so much easier! Well done guys…… The press release reads….. Lexus Voted Top Once Again By UK Dealers Lexus’s relationship with its UK network of dealers is stronger, more effective and more rewarding that that of any other manufacturer. That is the resounding conclusion of the latest Dealer Attitude Survey conducted by the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA). It shows Lexus outperforming all other brands and achieving a maximum satisfaction rating in a number of key areas. Lexus ranked first in 40 out of the 44 questions asked in the survey. One major improvement was the ‘product image’ question, in which Lexus moved up from third position to first, ahead of BMW, Audi and Land Rover, which tied for second place. The NFDA survey, conducted twice a year, measures aspects of the dealers’ business relationships with their manufacturer or vehicle importer. Lexus’s emphatic performance included the strongest possible views about parts and vehicle distribution and future profit potential. Lexus also performed particularly well with regards product availability, training, product positioning and pricing. Karl Schlicht, Lexus Director, said: ‘This survey emphatically demonstrates how our determination to make Lexus the best extends to all areas of its business. It is by building such an effective and sustainable relationship with our centers that we can continue to deliver the very highest standards of service to our customers’
  9. I have just one set left and yes, they are PX's from 20" sales. I still have one 20" set left!! Please call Laurie Hughes, Technical Manager on 0131 335 6543 for the price and fitting. Ian
  10. As far as know, the New GS will come with an all new 3.0 engine and the RX300 will remain as is. I think the 3.3 is being used as a world standard for the 'h', probably easier to just engineer one powertrain!
  11. It is looking like the launch date will be Jan 2005 but is so worth waiting for!! Please see here for the latest information - RX400h Ian
  12. I wish I could! You now know what I know. Ian
  13. Did you dealers conference say any plans Lexus has to to include common moans from existing IS owners to future models Not specifically, although I do know that Lexus are better at listening to their customers than any other I have had experience of. I am sure all the feedback they have received will be considered when the new IS arrives. Just before you ask, no I don’t know anything about it! Ian
  14. Hi Guys Can I clear up some of the confusion here please? Firstly the LE was a genuinely limited availability model, which represented excellent value. All customers who took delivery of this car should be happy with it. Selling cars is a constantly moving picture, both the manufacturer and the dealers must do their best to ensure they are as competitive as possible at all times. This means from time to time new models, spec changes and price changes must happen. The worst effect on customers I have seen with these decisions was the massive price reductions in the summer of 2000. I was with BMW then, they decided to reduce the prices on 1st September! Lexus dealers were informed of an ’04 model year IS200 at the Dealer Conference on 4th March. The changes for the IS200 SE are as follows: · New 11 spoke alloy wheels · Tinted Headlamps · Full leather upholstery fitted as standard · Optional factory fitted, colour coded parking sensors (front and rear) In addition the Sport will receive a new short shift gear lever. The new price for the IS200 SE is £20,770 OTR or £21,145 with Met. Paint. The IS200 Sport will be £22,030 OTR. The LE still has: HID Auto Leveling Headlamps, Auto Dim Mirror and Front Armrest over the SE and have a lower price of £20,795, inc Met Paint. So I would recommend that those waiting on one were not too disappointed! Hope this helps
  15. It was great having you all there guys, nice to see you at last. You can use the showroom for a meet anytime and I promise not to drag you round the bodyshop again. No problem with the kids John, I probably over reacted, I get a bit precious about my wee showroom sometimes, sorry. Ian
  16. And finally, the highlight of the show :winky:
  17. Hi Guys Thats me just back from the Lexus Conferance at the Geneva Motor Show. I took a few pics and thought I would share them with you. They feature a pretty view from my hotel window, the New GS, the RX400h, the Toyota Hybrid sports car and 'The Best in Show' (from the Lancia stand) :winky: After seeing the new GS I am very impressed, these picture do not do it justice, it is a stunning car. It will blow away E class and 5 Series. It makes the new Audi A6 look fuddy duddy and probably has most in common, looks wise, with the new MB CLS500!! If you don't have one ordered, get it done now!! The RX400h looks a bit more 'meaty' with a new bumper and grill. Hybrid technology is the future, *** help any manufacturer who does not have their finger properly in this pie!
  18. I am sure you and Scrappy will be most welcome :)
  19. 11 Edinburgh Road Newbridge Edinburgh Can you speak to John about the suspension please? Ian
  20. Best to meet earlier, have lunch then go on to the bodyshop. You are then more than welcome to come back here before you decide to head home.
  21. I am off to Geneva on Thursday to see the new GS and RX400h so I thought I would just make the final arrangements today. I should back on Saturday with some nice piccies. It seems like there will be 7-8 of you here. I have asked Tracy to arrange a little bit of lunch for you, nowt too fancy, don't get excited!! Jock, if there is a change in numbers, can you please call Tracy on 0131 335 6543. Peter is expecting us at 1pm for the tour of the bodyshop. I have arranged for a Technician to be here all day, so if you have any questions, he will be on hand. There will also be pleanty of sales peeps here to take orders for new cars :winky: If you have any other questions or requirements (within reason!) please let me know by tomorrow. Ian
  22. I don't know how many of you have seen this thread http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...howtopic=11860& but I was wondering who would like to have a guided tour of our new body shop on the 6th? It is about 5 mins from the dealership. Ian
  23. Yes, they are standard Mk2 18" alloys and are 18" x 7" with an offset of 35.
