  1. If ur gonna do motorway miles then is220d would suit u manual 6 speed giving 45+mpg Get se l with loads of extras @ very nice to drive on motorway look for low miles @ history.for 10k u would b able to pick a 10 plate privately
  2. Is220d 2006 went up north on Sunday @ Monday morning it won't start 1st time it's started 3rd time it turned over @ cut out @ now im back home It done it again this afternoon.I wondering if it's fuel filter?????? Any ideas thx
  3. Clean egr it will make difference u will b amazed treatment will not work if egr is really blocked ,it gets blocked due to local runs at least once a month take it on motorway.before I cleaned my egr was lacking power

I got is220d sel 2006 and get slight judder when lifting clutch got warranty @ had it checked @ was told its clutch If it was dmf u will hear load knocking But it's drives normal if it's clutch it will slip or maybe it's on its way out. Went north covered 500 miles no sign of clutch slipping got 45 50 mpg
  5. I saw a cat c lexus is220d 07 he had logbook @ it was stated on log book good luck

  7. Don't matter what cat it's should have logbook and what was the damage me I rather not buy damaged cars but every1 is different do hpi first then pay him r u 100% sure it's cat c log book will show what cat it is

If u want xtra toys then go for se-l model, if u gonna buy private then its worth spending that xtra get it checked by rac, aa and if dealer get warranty,mines dark blue with grey leather as this was my 1st lexus didn't really know what to look for but now lm an expert lol dmf is a problem,dpf,blocked rgr,I get 27 28 mpg round town but then dependes on ur driving styles but don't b put off by these issues it's a dream to drive mines 2006 buy 1 with average mileage for yr

  11. Clutch isn't that expensive it's dmf that is expensive I know this good ex vw mechanic will show him will post his finding personally I don't think its clutch, the mechanic who test drove car at county motors said there could b a bad spot on clutch or flywheel which causes judder.

  13. I got call from bt aswell when I was with bt he wanted to charge me £200 for anti virus it was from India aswell I hung up after 20 mins talking to him. These r good scams to get money I get emails offering me £££???????

Took car today to county motors in chelmsford they said its clutch bad news is RAC warranty dosnt cover flywheel or clutch due to wear and tear so it's not that bad,will get 2 nd opinion from Lexus, clutch dosnt slip car drives fine but did find a company which does recon dmf for £260+ vat with 1 yr warranty it's dual-mass. Co.uk worst senario will get recon 1

  16. Any 1 know why is220d judders in 1st gear. Its only does it sometimes did get gearbox replaced about 2 months ago any help would b great as got warranty

  18. Its normal when u use heater from cold revs r higher once its warmed up it droppes when I got mine I was worried so asked Lexus said its normal

Depends on quality of materials used but I personaly would supply pads/discs and get them to fit em.in my mercs used to use original parts used to last longer and wasnt a lot difference in price,as used to do chauffeuring covering 30k+ per yr, in my is220d I would buy originals I dont know price but cant b a lot of difference in price would shop around.
