    Other option u got is get same engine rebuilt @ maybe it will work out cheaper then it will b a 0 meter engine they can salvage parts @ only replace what's needed plus u know engine that 1 could have problems aswell find out price to get a engine rebuilt I personally would get it rebuilt as it will b a brand new engine.Labour is gonna b same to replace it keep us posted

    When was last time u changed ur pollen filter could b dirty that can cause it I had same problem on my is220d changed polling filter @ never get condensation now it's easy to change it should change pollen filter once a yr. Also leave button on air from outside .

    U can get from ebay around 700-800 for clutch @ flywheel search some co r cheaper its a luk kit which is pretty good dmf is worn but clutch might b ok but since u got gearbox off get done together. It's a common fault on is220d manual box that's y Lexus stop doing manual,I get that on mine which is 2006 but now I'm used to it when dmf gets warm thats when it plates up,when I got my car last yr 2nd gear used to pop out got complete box replaced under warranty did ask about clutch/dmf said it ok mines done 85k had box at 76k hope this helps @ good luck

    Just fitted denso for 19 pair unlike lexus rubber only was 15 each complete 67 what a rip off. Europarts even cheaper then eBay. At least they won't fly off now these r more heavy then what was on my car the ones on car were only rubber but these r lot stronger

    My left side wiper flew off the other day clip that holdes it in place is broken off so phoned Lexus Woodford 68pair what a rip off europarts only 19 pair made by Denso which I believe is original parts for lexus is this tru??????Europarts do 2 different sizes for driver side 22" @24" can u use any 1 havnt measured my wiper will c tomorrow when pick them up thanks

    Weird thing is that last nite at 11 doors unlocked/closed like normal there must have been. Electrical interference maybe disconnected battery @ it reset itself thanks for ur help it did get me worried more hassle to get it repaired wasn't worried about the expense as got warranty.what is point of having smart keys when they interfere with anything that's electrical.

    Thanks will try that @ will change battery in key fob also heard mobile phones can cause interference aswell she went out it was fine parked up try to go after 1 hrs this problem occurred maybe she put key @ mobile together in bag

    Hi on my is220d today doors won't open using both keys once it opens key not detected even disconnected battery if put key on state/stop it started when stop key not recognised comes on please help thx

    Try using really heavy duty black cable ties instead of bars use cable ties it might work

    Webuyanycar r thieves my mate got a valuation for a Porsche. 2003 convertible with less then 30k their price was shocking if I remember right it was approx 2-3k

    On right hand side there is a small knob try turning it might b on low setting @ ring these mobile guys who remove chips hope this helps mine is is220d sel-l

    Just had my fuel filter changed boy was it blocked it never been changed it was a tricky to do the guy took ages cost me £5 filter Labour £40 bargain as it took him almost 2 hrs to do it was a nightmare

    They say 2 hrs does it really take them 2hrs well tea breaks inclufed lol I paid 199 on is220d. For minor service @ will cost me 399 for major

    It's easy to replace complete but it's not serious issue anyway will leave it for while 1st gonna get fuel filter changed on Monday don't think it's been changed yet

    After Lexus my choice would b Mercedes e320cdi sport nice looking car it's fully loaded but it depends on ur budget u can get 1 for 9-10k.good luck Lexus is Toyota anyway iav got. Is220d got 85k on clock no problem yet

    Just had my is220d mot'd passed without any problem apart from small advisory offside ballpoint. Dust cover damaged. I think that was damaged to my wife hitting a centre island a few months ago which destroyed tyre aswell

    Lol yeh u will get drenched before u get in doors too slow but lot of time has been put into this colour is brilliant

    Sometimes interior lights don't come on today opened @ slammed door now headlights go off done it few times soon open door headlights go off like u say it could b door switch might take it out @ clean it
