Hi Pete i bought a dab radio for my wife's old fiat a year or so ago from halfords and bought an fm / dab adaptor with it to use with the existing roof aerial. This worked fine and we were totally satisfied until the station we listen to was removed from the local transmitter and we lost reception. They do need a power supply to the blue wire to work, and I can't seem to see them on halfords web site but they are on Amazon or specialist car audio stores. hope this helps Bob

How do they check this at the mot, do they just check the warning lamp. If so John's solution would be ideal

Hi Gerry I think I went into the audio settings, manual tab (not presets) found the channel required and select it so it is playing, Went back to presets select the position you want it and hold the controller down a couple of seconds to save it. Hope this helps

With all the technology in the car it would have been good to have a display of the pressure for each tyre. This would show up a possible puncture which everyone worrys about or just normal leakage and / or cold temperatures. Mine came on when I was about to travel home a couple of weeks ago late at night, tyres looked OK and after a few miles it went off, the next day I checked them all and just reinflated to 36 psi as they were all around 32.

Some dealers may be better than others I suppose. I got my spare after clumsily snapping off a tyre valve topping up a tyre at a garage. My dealer fitted a new sensor for free claiming it under warranty, my nisshoku wheels had also started to degrade after less then two years and they have just exchanged all four wheels under warranty again. So I've been very pleased with the dealer.

Bought mine from local main dealer (Bolton) and it cost me £140 for wheel and tyre, bought a cover from eBay for about £10 and just leave it the boot. Takes up a bit of space but not an inconvenience really.

Hi Geoff, Just got back from a trip out and saw your reply. I've added the link below not sure if it will work but if you search for spare tyre cover you should find it. I bought it from craftsales ltd and it was really quick delivery. The bag is ok for £9.99 plus £2.18 postage it is zipped and is the kind of material you find in strong shopping bags. I went for the XXL because the smaller ones looked a bit too small for a 17" wheel and due to the depth it may even take the 18" that is removed from the car in the event of a puncture. Mine is 17", I think this is standard for spacesavers with large wheel sizes.I haven't seen too many 18". I believe they are limited to 50mph, I know I would be very cautious with it fitted. I also bought a cover off ebay for £12.

TPMS light will stay on all the time if a sensor can't be detected, but I was told by a tyre dealer that the main dealer can override / turn off the warning light, don't know if that is true.

£197, protected no claims. It was the quidco deal that swung it as I received the £70 Cashback bringing it down overall to £127. With that and the road tax and better fuel economy over my Is250 it has been pretty cheap motoring.

Over the last few years I've always gone with the main companies direct line etc, currently with aviva having got a quote for less than £200. Go through quidco and got another £70 off which was paid into my account in November. Helps being an old git now.

Picked my space saver up today from the dealer, fitted with continental tyre. £142, better than I was quoted and I am reasonably happy. Would be better if it could be fitted under the boot floor but can't have everything

After a recent problem with a tyre valve which left me with a 2 and a half hour wait for recovery plus subsequent 100 mile round trip to dealer for new sensor, I have ordered a space saver from the dealer (£175). Doubt this will come with a cover but can get one online. There have been other posts about space savers and their availability on ebay etc but I always had a doubt about the size so will pay the extra from the dealer for peace of mind. The jack is in the boot by the 12v battery and tyre inflator I believe as I haven't had a good look. You need to jack up the car to use the useless tyre kit. Not too sure when the space saver will turn up as it took about 9 days for the sensor to arrive. It will also take up room in the boot as there is no underfloor storage due to the batteries.

Had a little disaster myself the other night with tyre pressures. The warning light came on and as I was about to drive 50 miles down the motorway thought I would stop and check them at a garage, normally use my own compressor. Topped the front tyre up to 38 but tool was was a bit stiff on the valve to come off, when it did it took the end of the valve off with it. Result totally flat tyre, no spare and needed recovery. Left the car at home till next day and phoned around local tyre firms but none of them can fit the sensors. Called lexus care to see what they could do, AA arrived and after a few phone calls a sensor was ordered from the dealer (bolton). Tyre was fitted with a normal valve for now but a trip to the dealer is imminent when the part comes in. I can see these sensors causing a few problems until more tyre specialists can obtain and fit them. Looking for a space saver now. I did find the reset switch though after looking for advise on here.

Agree with is250 comparison daylight1 but looking at other posts servicing seems to be more expensive with quotes of £450 ish for 20k. Thought there was less maintenance on hybrids. Seemed a lot less on my is250.

Had an email from webuyanycar.com which let you find how many cars were registered in uk. So there are - IS 300h F Sport - 528 Luxury - 596 Premier - 259 SE - 300 Total - 1683 Quite an exclusive club at the moment. My premier is also fitted with the nissokku wheels which I doubt there will be many around due to the original pricing being astronomical and I don't see them in the options list anymore. B

I have also noticed this and it can be a bit disconcerting. Usually happens as described by ColinBarber, initial gentle braking but needed to press harder to come to a stop.

Had my premier 3 months now, and averaging 44.5 to the gallon, range showing around 550 miles. Probably more motorway miles than A roads but a lot better than 32 mpg from my IS 250.

Thanks for the comments. I will be getting a phone call in the next few days to see how I like the car and they will try to sell it again. I'll see what they come up with.

Just picked up my premier, loved every minute of the drive home. When picking it up I was offered the 3 year service plan for £1175, reading these quotes this seems excessive especially as we are told they need less maintenance. Haven't decided whether to take it up or not as I didn't on my previous is250.
