  1. Are the Lexus ones supplied as just the rubber or the complete replacement part?
  2. So my IS250 just sailed through its MOT at Lexus Poole yesterday. Got 1 advisory for the wiper blades and planned on changing these soon anyway. Any recommendations for this car? Is it best to go genuine or not?
  3. What an excellent results - very impressive! Looking forward to giving mine a good run and seeing what is achievable. Normally I only average around 25mpg around town although after a decent run (about 1 hour 15 each way) the other day, my tank mpg was up to 36.
  4. Congratulations on the purchase and a nice write up :)
  5. When I purchased my IS250 from a dealer, I was advised that the Lexus minimum for approved pre owned was 6 months MOT and 3mm on the tyres. Can you guess what mine came with? That's right... 6 months MOT and 3mm on the tyres
  6. I've had my 57 plate SE-L auto multimedia for around 6 months now, after changing from a Focus ST. I absolutely love the car and can't fault it at all so far. I got mine from a Lexus dealership for peace of mind with the warranty etc. I would have preferred a facelift if push came to shove, but at the time the best deal I could get on an equivalent facelift from a dealer would have cost me around 3K more. The car was 1 year newer (58 plate) and as Normski pointed out, I would have added a USB port, bluetooth audi and indicators in the mirrors. These were things that would be nice to have but were not a deal breaker and certainly not for 3K difference, especially when I thought I was getting such a good deal on this one. With a 15K budget however you should easily be able to pick out a stunning facelift from a dealer and probably receive change so I would definitely go facelift in your position. :D These two look rather nice at the moment: http://usedcars.lexus.co.uk/used-IS/IS-250/2.5-SE-L/Woodford-Green/1760689-604572235-1607027.aspx?srcmdc=se_na_re_ http://usedcars.lexus.co.uk/used-IS/IS-250/2.5-SE-L/Bristol/1760689-604581768-1607058.aspx?srcmdc=se_na_re_
  7. Yes it is a little hard to keep clean, but looks great when it is. There's a slight blue sparkle to it when you catch it in certain lights :)
  8. Sounds like it should be covered under the extended warranty surely? I will be watching this thread with interest!
  9. Thanks Philip, I will take a look when I get home. I wasn't sure if someone maybe had a list to hand.
  10. I'm trying to find the paint code for my gen 2 IS250. I believe mine is called "Mercury Grey"? Am I correct in saying this was the only grey available for the gen 2 IS? Tried to use the search function to see if someone already had a list with all the codes but no luck. Can anyone help?
  11. I have all of this (electric seats, steering wheel, memory, ML audio etc) on my 2007 MK2 IS250, but I hunted down a top spec one (used)
  12. Hi Alan welcome. Great choice on the car. I currently have the MK2 IS250 so a little different but I really like the Ivory leather with a dark car (mine is Mercury Grey with Ivory leather). Also I have Android but I believe there is an iPhone app available.
  13. 1993 K Peugeot 106 XND (seriously slow but really cheap to run for a first car) 2004 04 Ford Focus 1.8 zee 3rd (had this for over 4 years not a bad car but got bored of it at the end) 2008 08 Ford Focus 2.5 ST-3 (awesome car, sad to see this go, had it running around 260bhp/300Ib Ft too) 2007 57 Lexus IS250 auto SE-L MM (bought earlier this year and love it so far) 2007 57 Smart Fortwo 84bhp turbo (the Wife's car though I drive it fairly regularly) The Wife has also had a few other (some not so great) cars including a 206, clip and corsa.
  14. How much are these? I didn't realise you could buy them separately.
  15. The general consensus is the IS250 auto is the way to go. Cheaper tax than the manual too. I have one and the auto box/engine combo is sublime.
  16. Sounds lovely I've had mine for a few months now and love it! Post some photos up!
  17. I wouldn't mind this beep but I'm guessing it can't be done in the UK then?
  18. Looks lovely Colin, wouldn't mind a future upgrade to an IS300h myself!
