  1. Canvassing opinions here, I am about to replace front tyres on my car and was considering these two options, would appreciate any feedback in helping me make a decision. thanks
  2. Mine is a 2008, letter says will be in contact with me soon to arrange a fix
  3. My number one rule is you have to convince the potential buyer that the vehicle has been lovingly cared for, so you have to be really anal and clean and polish thoroughly
  4. And I thought I was just putting "oil" in my car,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Wrong
  5. Am I right in assuming that Ceretec grease is the right one for the slider pins on 250
  6. Jackcramerr, totally agree, why is this information regarding this not included in the handbook? It's as though Lexus don't think it's that important.
  7. Had to get one myself about a year ago,,,,,,,,£280 for key fob from Lexus, £50 for Lexus to program it. £330
  8. On any motoring forum you visit I can more or less garentee the most discussed topic will be oil.
  9. I've been using Castrol Edge, so I could have been saving some money as the Magnatec is much cheaper, so it's the Magnatec in the future for me. Thanks to jackcramerr for the info
  10. So to recap, what you are saying is don't use just any 5w-30 fully synthetic? cant find any reference to this in the handbook, it just recommends 5w-30 fully synthetic, I actually use Castrol Edge 5w-30 but have seen Mobil 1 cheaper, any good?, or could we be being too technical?, I personally like to use top quality oil as I am a bit fussy, I normally change my oil every 6 months or so as I only do short journeys
  11. Just out of curiosity I was wondering what oil everyone's using, I would think most use 5w-30 but does anyone use 0w-30? fully synthetic obviously
  12. Interesting replies, I am leaving mine on all the time now as I prefer the more responsive drive, but as said, each to their own.
  13. Does any forum members drive with the power switch on all the time? I have been leaving mine on recently and I find the car so much more responsive, what is the view of other members I wonder?
  14. Or do as I do and leave the covers off, I can see any potential problems develop, for example water leaks or oil leaks with the covers removed, and what purpose are the covers for anyway? My cynical opinion is the manufacturer put them there to make everything appear mysterious, lift the bonnet can't see anything so go back to the dealer to spend wonga.
  15. Thanks for the replies guys, it must have been as johnatg suggested and the button must have been inadvertently pressed whilst in my bag Will now wrap it in something firmer Love this forum for problem solving
  16. Thing is I never lock my car with the fob, I always use the button on the door handle The fob is wrapped in tissue and kept in my bag
