  1. Has any forum members used, or had any dealings with APEC brakes for discs and pads?
  2. Thanks for the input, I decided to go for the Denso ones and am not disappointed.
  3. Can anyone recommend a site that sells replacement wiper blades that are at least as good as OEM
  4. Had a fortwo Smart car once and everyone on the road flashed or waved
  5. Mine seems to happen when not on a particularly hard lock,,,tyres won't last very long I would have thought.
  6. Thanks for the replies, seems as though it's normal then, just seems a bit odd.
  7. I have noticed that if I turn the wheel too sharp I get a scuffing sound from the tyres, is this down to tyres selection or may be the tracking? Has anyone else had this?
  8. Having removed all mine the sound is the same, with or without the covers, as for the thermal insulation, the sides and front panels are just plastic and would have little or no thermal quality, the centre piece would maybe have a small amount. As for the covers in general, I think that all major motor manufacturers now use these covers and my opinion is that it's done to make under the bonnet seem mystical in some way,, you lift the bonnet and see all these covers and think to yourself,,I'd better take this back to the dealer to sort out. And I reiterate my original point, if the covers are removed you have a chance of spotting something amiss with the car. you pay your money and you take your choice.
  9. I have removed all of my covers, I like to have a good look around under the bonnet every now and again for anything that may be amiss such as leaks, having removed the covers lets you spot anything early and sort it out, something that's not possible if you have covers in place.
  10. Simple question, is this the correct battery for the is250? Sorry can't get it to copy and paste BoschS4 068 Thanks
  11. I have noticed this as well, is it the same on all tyres? I have bridgestone potenzas on the front (not again) terrible tramlining as well
  12. Thanks for the reply and the link,,,,,,I think that answers most of the questions
  13. Agree with your observation about the Potenzas on the front re the noise and tramlining, I am suffering the same problems.
  14. Did an oil change the other day and could not find these two parts to replace,(see Photo) Is it that this is an oil filter (Bosch) that is sold to use on other makes as well, have I missed where these parts are or are they superfluous? I did replace the larger rubber ring Thanks
  15. johnatg,,,,,,,thanks for your reply,I intend to try the higher octane fuel and was thinking about using Tesco 99ron because it's more convenient for me, I have used the Shell Vpower in my type R but never saw any real advantage, maybe psychological.
  16. Do any forum members regularly use high octane fuel (99 ron) and if so do you consider the extra cost to be worthwhile?
  17. Tim,, I've just come from a Civic Type R so quite similar really, I must admit I am more than pleased with my Lexus (2008 250 auto) I would definitely advise the auto gearbox, smooth as the proverbial silk and by no means a slouch to drive. Good luck
