Answer to all is - NO... and that is not opinion. but wether it matters is. If you dont want leather, RTCA and BSM or a 450h or bothered by rwd the subjectively the ES is not inferior, and even if you do, other elements may make the ES, subjectively for an given individual, better. Your comparing these vehicles on paper only. and GS cant be specced in 4wd anyway so ?

Where do you get this drivel the “Much vaunted price reduction” was totally unsubstantiated speculation from some individuals based on the previous Es sitting between the is and Gs in non uk markets. I bet it'll ride just as poorly as the GS on its stupid big wheels and have worse road noise as well, because they'll have cut the sound deadening to save costs. can you substantiate these claims? also Trying to defend this is simply blind and futile attempt. like your attempts to convince us that hybrids are rubbish and the new Es is rubbish and everything other than an 08 is250 is rubbish And besides Some don’t want leather for various reasons. feel, smell, moral or ethical

Wow even more impressed! I’m lucky to get 350 from a tank full. I dry smoothly with the occaisional heavy right foot, but my work commute is very stop start urban which does the consumption no favours. This is why I’m considering an IS 300h, I think most of my mileage would play to its strengths

As a fellow GS250 driver I salute you sir. On a long mway run I’ve never bettered 42. My average is 29 without much motorway running. Do you run in eco mode all the time? What fuel do you use?
-
so what real world range does this equate to for a full tank? Theoretically should be pushing 600?

Also many other drivers just jealous because they can’t do what BMW/AUDI drivers can as they are scared to do it or in most cases their car won’t let them, well, just my opinion That’s the bmw Audi arrogance right there. I for one am annoyed, not jealous because some of their driving is downright dangerous to other road users including me and my kids. Others don’t do what they do because they are good drivers not arrogant ignorant or selfish in their driving

Furthermore, it is about thing which are unpredictable e.g. maybe I start overtaking with pedal half way depressed and gearbox changes to 5th, but mid way overtaking I will realise I won't fir in the gap and therefore I will floor it... then gearbox will have to change again to 3rd mid way in overtaking. Same with a manual though... but to my mind this is autos in general. I’m aware in this scenario I’m changing gear with throttle input unless I drop into manual and of course in this scenario you should pick your overtakes better....
