    My Mk1 has just hit a 100k Never failed an MOT. Never had any problems. Has just had services when they were due. Cam belt when that was due. Trouble free motoring just like the LS400 I had. So fingers crossed it stays that way, at least until she goes either late this year or early next year. Over 4 years now so due for a change.

    Out of the two I would go for the Merc. Higher level of quality and probably better re-sale values. Plus a Merc is higher on the status front but at the end of the day it is what suits your needs and budget best. Happy motoring with whichever you choose.

    I have Eagle F1s and they are quiet even on 20"s Not the cheapest tyre but "You get's what you pay for!"
