  1. In the U.K and lots of other places but on certain roads in Germany there is no limit so you've not broken the law
  2. Lexus could have told you that if you didn't have the key and that if they removed them they would have charged you Lexus labour prices! They did the job you asked and now you are NO worse off. Just get them removed either by Kwik-Fit or similar. Personally I would do it myself. Tightest old socket you can get on then hammer it on and remove them.
  3. Tom Pryce - South African F1 Grand Prix 1977 springs to mind. Tom Pryce hit a marshall who was crossing the track to assist a driver on the other side who had a small fire in the car. The marshall was so badly mashed up his body was in many bits and pieces all over the place. He was hit at 170mph. It's on youtube if you are brave enough to watch. People like Clarkson make me puke - the guy is simply vile. Clarkson wasn't on a British road it was in Germany on a road with NO speed limit. JC has a clean licence so why does he make you puke? Plenty of "Police Officers" racing about that have killed innocent people then don't even lose thier jobs THEY make me puke.
  4. Hi and welcome to LOC Glad you chose the RX. It's right what you say about the States and Lexus. I was in Houston Texas and the Lex were plentiful!
  5. The bore size can be overcome with spigot rings. They centre the wheel.
  6. With an ET / Offset of 53 they would have to be modified You need offset 38-45
  7. Good ideabout the locksmith, not heard of duck oil ? is that something special ? It is a very fine lubricant similar to WD/40 but a bit more refined. Usually comes with a really thin spout to get into those awkward places i.e. Keyholes. P.S. Regarding the locksmith idea, get your yellow pages and go to them don't call them out and you don't get a call out fee that way.

    Hello

Welcome to LOC. Good descision on choice of motor. Ask away and I am sure the IS lads on here will give you plenty of good advice.
  9. Have you tried duck oil directly into the barrell? Or take the car to a locksmith or barrell out and get it to a locksmith to try and free it. Would save the hassle of having an odd key and replacing the barrell.
  10. You will probably get more information here Soarer club
  11. Hi' and welcome to LOC. It's not a fault I have heard of on this forum. If you bought it from a main dealer then maybe worth taking it back to them. They can run it on rollers and see if the noise is constant at higher speeds and diagnose the fault.
  12. Should not have any problems. Spigot rings (Should not be needed if they are genuine Lexus wheels as the centre bore is the same ) But if you do need them they are only cheap and take literally seconds to fit. Plastic or alloy.
  13. Offset is 38-45 So you will need a 3mm spacer. But ALWAYS check with the supplier first, so that if he tells you they will fit then he will refund if they don't!
  14. Preperation! Preperation! Preperation! Make sure the wheels are prepped thoroughly, sanded and really smooth use a green pad or similar. Then put a thin wipe of white spirit or similar to remove all grease or finger marks, then primer. Fine sand with a wet & dry or similar then primer again then topcoat & Laquer. Show pics of each stage if you can, to give a useful guide for other members on here. Good luck....it gets really boring after the first wheel is done
  15. Offset is 38 - 45 You can put a spacer on up to 5mm. Any wider than 5mm you will then need to fit longer wheel studs.
