  1. I've used Adrian Flux several times for bike and car but never had to make any claims or anything so don't know what their customer service is like.
  2. Loyalty? I've no such thing with insurance companies. I compare every year. Normally find a better policy and then give my insurer a call to do better or at least match my quote. If they come up trumps I'll stay with them, saves me changing, if not who cares I've already found one cheaper.
  3. Obviously I don't know what you previously paid but I paid £233 full comp, protected no claims, windscreen cover etc, 9+years no claims Ls430 2004 1st October last year. Hastings direct. I always do the compare and when I think I've found one I like I then check out top cashback. I did that on my scooter insurance in January and got £26 off reducing it from £71 to £45 full comp so well worth a check.
  4. Thanks for that information. I think I need to pull it all out and see exactly how it's broken. Then I may have a better idea of how to possibly make a repair.
  5. Actually I've just read the information on it and it is the older one which has a top and bottom glovebox. As mine is a "54" it only has one box so will need to find the right one.
  6. Hi Steve. I think what I'll have to do is remove my glovebox and hopefully it will be easier to see. If it works out like you say then I'll order the one from Paul at lexus spares direct and take it from there. Thanks for the info.
  7. Thanks. Yes I saw that as well but was hoping I might just be able to get a hinge, plus the colour may be different. Whether the door part can be interchanged I'm not sure
  8. My left hand hinge has broken and I'm not sure if it's replaceable or I will need a complete box or lid. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
  9. Yes I know what you mean I'm 6'3" myself and am also the only driver. I now have a 2004 ls430 and happily both rake and reach work just fine 😊
  10. Not sure about the "rake" but with the "reach" you can click the adjuster at the side about 8 times towards you and it gives you more. Maybe it's worth trying to click it up 8 times and see what happens. I did have an issue years ago on my 2000 ls430 and couldn't find a way forward so I removed all the cover around the steering wheel, found the rake and manually put it into the position I wanted and it just stayed in that position.
  11. I had a 2000 ls430 and I don't think the boot shape was any different to my 2004
  12. You may find you need to do this every time you start the car. My rake and reach is fine but I do this every time anyway as it still gives a bit more.
  13. If you click the adjuster towards you around 8 times you will get an extra little bit of reach.
  14. If you take the steering column cover off you can get to the nylon wheel to check. My first LS430 cog was worn so I adjusted the rake to my desired position and it stayed in this position.
  15. Spotted G?55LEX in commercial road turning into totnes road paignton this afternoon. I was 2 cars back. Looks nice and clean 👍

  17. I'm not electrickery minded but the button under the dash to turn the smart system off hasn't been touched?
  18. Could it actually be a faulty camera? I had to replace mine once. It looked like it was a negative photo - weird. If you could borrow one to try first, or stump up for one on ebay. If it works happy days if not relist it.
