  1. Just took delivery of this fitted boot mat from Lexus parts direct. Fits really well and has small sections to cut with a pair of scissors if you want to still use your cargo net. Ideal for my wifes mobility scooter and the lip all round prevents any potential spillages from staining the boot carpet. If anyone is interested it was £83.89 delivered.
  2. Never noticed any difference at all. 244 mile journey to bring it home and it was just as smooth. Both still on airbags.
  3. ..and totaly understand that. Not only do I only look at the 430's, I'm only interested in the blue ones for myself..it's just my favourite colour
  4. Thanks. I know 150,000 miles isn't a problem with these cars but the one I've just bought has 101,000 on the clock and the interior is spotless and still has the lexus carpet mats. The bodywork is tidier too. There's always going to be a point when you look at your car and think that certain areas could do with improvement, i.e. because of scratches or maybe a carpark ding. 2 of the front proximity sensors had coroded and stopped them from working and it's understandable with a cars of these years that they're not going to be perfect so I suppose it's it's just me looking to get as near as damn it to that. The wheels on my 55 plate car were poor and rather than having them re - furbished which really is just the face of the wheel I opted to buy some aftermarket wheels which looked smart, not overstated and as close to the originals as possible.
  5. Well as my car hit 150,000 today I decided to go into reverse and so bought this beauty. It's one year older than my car on an 04 plate and 49,000 less miles. It's in gorgeous condition having only had 2 owners, full service history and only failed 2 tests in the past. (Incidentally that's 1 more than my old car). So, this being my third 430 in Canterbury blue with cream interior it didn't take long looking round it before the deal was done. This has one thing more than my previous car which is the adaptive cruise control radar system, an optional extra at the time. Obviously I can't keep them both so my '55' will be on the move once the reg plates are sorted.
  6. Just noticed it said air suspension working fine so might be a different car.
  7. The 05 ls430 is fine with E10. I can't even say I've noticed it doing less to the gallon. Personally I'd never consider fuel consumption as a reason not to own one. LPG is definitely a bonus though if it's running ok and has been properly serviced. If it had less mileage and even without LPG I think I would have given it some thinking time.
  8. Think he had this on ebay a few weeks back. Could be on coilovers and probably 211, 000 miles not km. I dont think he's telling the whole story either. - looks smart doesn't it.
  9. How weird is that? Yesterday I sold my 2000 ls430 with 144300 miles on the clock and I'd had that for six and a half years. Not a bad result with that really, it means it only cost me £1000 for the whole time I've owned it! Very happy to say I've still got the "55" plate ls430 though.
  10. How did you do that? There's only one lock and it's on the drivers door. Is this an Ls430?
  11. Sold my 18's on ebay for £50. I just wanted the space back. Had 1791 views on the car, 36 watchers, a few offers made - no sale...I'm just putting a drivers door on there now, see if I can make some more spa e in the garage.🙄
  12. If its a 430 just use the key blade in the drivers doorlock. If it has a cap on it just prise it off
  13. Ever sold on ebay? Really annoying when you are trying to sell something, have had nearly 1100 views and 32 watchers and it's a buy it now item! What is the point? 🙄
  14. Replaced my 2000 plate with a Bosche s4 026 today. Same battery as my 2005 ls430.
  15. Perhaps it's a way the government can rid the roads of all petrol and diesel vehicles in favour of electric. A stealthy way of making it impossible for the d.i.y mechanic to work on and too expensive to take to main dealers and that's if they will still work on them.If prices of new electric cars stay high that will also reduce traffic on the road beacause many people will not be able to afford a new electric car. Lets face it when my car was registered in 2005 I certainly wouldn't have been able to pay £55,000 for it but 15 years down the line and sub £3000 for a superbly reliable luxurious car is easily feasible.
  16. I dont know if Paul at lexussparesdirect deals with ls400's as well as 430's but you could try him
  17. Excellent! 😄 My 2000 ls430 is insured with churchill limited to 1000 miles per year for £179.20 full comp.( this one has the towbar so is my 2nd car when i need it) My 2005 430 is insured with carole nash for 10,000 miles per year full comp for £207.42 Total : £386.62
  18. Thanks. Yes they came with spacers and a full set of wheelnuts. Funny thing is the guy ordered them from Germany and on the day of fitting they didn't fit, they were hampered by the caliper. Obviously didn't get the offset right. Anyway a week later the correct ones turned up and all was ok. Your wheels look beaut! As you say a nice set of wheels can make such a difference.
  19. Ha ha, In fact I've been quite a fan of wish. I bought these 4 puddle lights
  20. I also bought these on wish as well. Very comfortable and tucks nicely into my neck. They do them in black as well
  21. I got them on "wish". I don't know if you've heard of it. They are a chinese company. If you look on the site there'll be several selling at different prices. The only thing is the word Lexus only faces one way.
