  1. Although the car still always puts a smile on my face, my 0.25 mile journey to my work doesn't quite allow me to make the most of this wonderful car. Regular meets/road trips in 2017 would be great to really start enjoying the car.
  2. Good to hear about your progress @Peter P18 and lets face it, our cars are pretty reliable so there wont be much to discuss without upgrades/performance topics. Look forward to further discussions and meets in 2017. Mark.
  3. Thanks for taking the time to give your opinion Pete, much appreciated! What are the benefits of the Toms filter and intake pipe? I was searching again last night, would this combination work..... https://www.merakiautoworks.com/collections/isf-products/products/rr-racing-intake-for-lexus-is-f or http://www.ebay.com/itm/HPS-Blue-4-Ply-Silicone-Post-MAF-Air-Intake-Hose-Kit-For-Lexus-08-13-ISF-IS-F-V8-/311605343587?fits=Make%3ALexus Plus.... http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/lexus/is-f/toms-super-ram-air-filter-lexus-is-f.html I have installed an induction kit on my previous IS250 so as long as the HPS/RR pipe connects to the stock airbox without additional parts required, I should be OK.
  4. Thanks for this, what benefits do you get from the Toms?
  5. Many thanks @DT_Racing,for the input, I think the Takeda is my best option at the expense of a little hp. I'm not currently planning on changing the exhaust system so the pipe and drop in filter doesn't make any sense for what I wanted to achieve.....extra noise throughout the rev range.
  6. Well and truly confused myself with all the options and various reviews on the US forums. Wasted several hours online the last couple of nights. Was set on the Takeda, then switched to a hps pipe and toms drop in filter but still undecided. I recall a while ago @DT_Racing went for a similar option and it would be great to know if he got addition sound throughout the Rev range. The ideal would be for a setup with gave the extra noise throughout the Rev range but without dropping too much hp. Maybe it doesn't exist....
  7. I would also be up for this as it's within reach for me, depending on the specific date of course as I work some weekends.
  8. Let us know how you go with it, I will keep researching for now, although there are many contradicting results on the US forums. Will probably also end with an impulse buy!
  9. Can I ask what made you choose the Apexi? I'm still considering but think the Takeda was the best option.... Bit still interested to hear other opinions.v
  10. Ah OK got it, sorry about that, just thought I would mention.
  11. Can't help with this technicalities of this but I thought you can be fined for driving with your fog lights permanently on? Might be wrong but maybe worth checking....
  12. Does anyone know any websites other than eBay US to get hold of the Takeda? The K&N and Injet options are more widely available on UK sites. Many thanks!
  13. He arrived at 9.45am and finished at 4pm. Did a great job. Would like to learn some techniques myself....
  14. Cheers Stu, pro valet.... clay bar and machine Polish, looking it's best at the moment! 👍
  15. Bayson R. From eBay US, under £200 with shipping, very happy with the look and fitment
  16. The meet at Bluewater was good, would be up for making these more regular.
  17. Perfect, great to have a few options which could give me that little extra noise without any major tinkering. Thanks for the input!
  18. Definitely a good time to buy, most number of ISF's available since at least Summer 2015 when I started my search......
  19. Thanks Stu, that could be a good option if its creating that noise consistently through rev range! I assume you had this on your F?
  20. I'm certainly no Ed China but have added induction kits to previous cars, including my previous IS250. I don't rack up many miles each year and most of my driving is pottering around the local roads at 30/40/50 mph. At these speeds rarely will the car get near the 3,500 RPM required to hear the addictive growl which comes from the 2nd intake. Is there a particular air filter/induction kit that anyone could recommend that increases the noise/feel good factor at the lower rev's? Just looking into the options at the moment, wouldn't consider any major changes to the exhaust. Any input/experiences would be appreciated!
