  1. It was from Ireland.... Waiting for registration to complete, until then I'm in the Peugeot 2008 hire car. Hard leaving the F on the drive!!!
  2. That's it, remember now, it had missed the last service so lexus did 2 services in one. Some might be OK with that but I wasn't keen.
  3. Yes it was, much appreciated! It is/was stressful buying a car from outside the UK but I'm very happy with the car and the previous owner has been great. Made all the research/logistics worth while.
  4. Dealer/trader helpful but there was a big gap in the service history from memory.
  5. After a flight......ferry......and 7 hours on the road, I'm one very happy owner of a 2008 ISF. Purchased from a fellow enthusiast which worked out well. 2 years warranty added today for peace of mind. I look forward to learning more about the car. The info and advice I got from the members of LOC was invaluable, thank you. Mark
  6. Set the record straight there.... Good luck with the sale, it does look fantastic. I could suggest drilling some holes in the boot for the dog but I'm not sure the RSPCA would be too happy :-) What have you in mind for the next car?
  7. I think ilthe warranty was mentioned on eBay but not autoloader.... Genuinely can't imagine wanting a change after 4 months. I had my 250 for 2 years and imminently switching to an F, and expect not to be looking elsewhere for a long while.
  8. Seems to really like a car he's only had for a few months..... Can't like it that much to be selling!
  9. Nice one! Car looks good.... The number of ISF'S for sale continue to decrease :(
  10. They could wash it all they like, really don't like the red but that's just my personal preference. I'm sure the car is in great condition.
  11. From a buyers perspective 17-18k would be a fair. I guess it will restrict some of your market being in Northern Ireland but.... For the right car it's worth the distance IMO. Might involve you sending more photos, detail over email before someone will make the trip over. Let's face it, if you want to buy an ISF you will have to be cover some serious miles on the hunt!
  12. I've looked at the white one and also discounted because of the modifications. You can always play it cool with Woodford if you're not in a rush, 23k sounds about right IMO but it hasn't been on for long and therefore less chance of a deal. Looks great but still a 2009.
  13. Based on this particular ISF it's appreciation is a superb investment, better than property, stocks and shares etc! Out of my league, I'm looking upto £20k but good examples hard to come by on autotrader at the moment.
  14. I was planning to fly over next week to test Drive/pay deposit, had been emailing the dealer for a few days. Had an email this morning to say it's been sold. Didn't want to pay reservation over the phone because its been for sale for so long and wanted to make sure it looked OK in the flesh.
  15. ISF at Belfast Lexus now gone.... My search continues...
  16. Congrats on the purchase! I've pretty much given up with the Lexus Belfast car. Made an offer but they are avoiding sending photos of the exhaust tips (instead sent me a link to their website.....gee thanks) and won't quote the name of the tyres. The new white one on autotrader sounds very dodgy....sounds like you did well with the Guernsey car.
  17. The engine is still quiet when cruising, it's only at 3500-4000 rpm when it would starts to sound aggressive. Motorway cruising is pretty much similar to stock as it's only running at 2500 rpm. Hard acceleration on motorway or from stationary is when it's most prominent.
  18. I shipped a Lexus f sport induction from a US dealer for my 2006 is250. Not cheap but I wanted to keep it oem! I've had it on the car for 9 months now and the sound is great, far more throaty/loud than I had expected from a Lexus oem. It's quite addictive! Planning to move up to an ISF imminently so will probably remove from car and return to stock before sale, just in case it puts anyone off, although some would love it!
  19. The one in Guernsey has now sold, the silver one at Lexus Belfast is STILL available. I would like to see a photo of the mesh surrounding the exhaust to make sure it's not too rough. The interior looks a little scruffy but hard to see without a viewing! Quite a bit of money has been spent on 60k service, brakes, pads etc.
  20. I think I will be patient over the next couple of months in the hope that a couple of good examples come up in my price range. Some owners might think that Winter is a bad time to sell a car like the ISF and will try in the spring. I don't like the look of the black one and that Google search on the dealer doesn't install confidence. My preference on colour is silver, blue or white.
  21. Yes I do agree Stuart, I appreciate that nowadays (and especially with an Lexus/ISF) 100,000 is not so bad but I would feel more comfortable buying with <70,000, knowing that when I come to sell in a few years time, I will be selling with <100,000. I hope more become available in the next few weeks. After seeing this ISF I very much have the bug to buy, I see some mention of an ISF in Guernsey but I cant find it online??!? Couple of comments to those looking at the ISF: 1) It looks even better in the flesh. 2) In my opinion the suspension is totally acceptable (considering the performance/handling). 3) The noise of the engine on start up and rev is magical.
  22. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201601120013326?postcode=sl18aw&search-target=usedcars&sort=default&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&quicksearch=true&make=lexus&page=1&model=is_f&radius=1501&logcode=p Thanks for the replies, I hope to keep the car for many years but............ things can change owning a super saloon and having a young family! My fear......in a year or two I could be trying to sell a 120,000 mile car with 7 previous owners. Does anyone have any knowledge of the very high mileage ISF's still going strong?
  23. Hi, calling on the knowledge of this forum to get an opinion of the Lexus ISF recently listed on Autotrader, just below £17k. I went to look at it on Saturday and am seriously considering. It was a pretty tidy car, full service history (all Lexus apart from 1 stamp), the dealer was very helpful/genuine. My only concerns are 104,000 miles and 6 previous owners. Any opinions/experience of this car would be much appreciate to help me reach a decision........
  24. This car has been for sale for ages, I enquired some time ago and the lexus salesman said that their two year warranty could be transferred for a one year warranty in the UK. In the photos it shows their showroom window advertising their sales event in June.... It's been hanging around!
  25. Thanks Corrado, will search for the old tread but not so keen now. Although the Lexus is a solid car, it could well have been thrashed for some of its life.
