  1. The total cost for mine if paying monthly was £33.60 more but they knocked that off. 28 payments in total so helps to spread the cost of ownership for the next 3 years.
  2. Do you know what group each dealer belongs to? Leeds are part of Vantage and the service chap said that half price MOTs come with all service packs. Might be worth seeing if you can buy the package from one dealer and use it at other Lexus dealers in the same network? Gives you the option of looking further afield to try and get a better discount.
  3. This, you know it makes sense! At that price you wouldn't lose much, if anything, if you changed your mind a few months in and wanted the Alpina. If you do buy it then I'd love to see a picture or two of the exhaust design.
  4. That's a very good price for an LSD equipped car. A decent valved exhaust and a set of good winters would set you back over a 2 grand new easily.
  5. I wouldn't discount an 08 car if you can find one that ticks the boxes. Mine is at the lower end of the mileage scale with only 34k on the odometer but there will be a few around that are sub 50k. The suspension isn't as soft as I'd like but it's not harsher than my last car (Galant VR4) which was on old coilovers. I'll be aiming to do 15k a year in mine as it just feels like a car that you can rack the miles up in.
  6. You couldn't up until two months ago, right when I did the deal to buy my car! Early remaps were done by sending the ecu in to places like RR Racing across the pond. They are now testing handheld modules that plug into the obd socket. Early impressions are good but it seems the results vary depending on supporting mods. I'm waiting to see the results from a different shop who are mapping a stock car. Understandably the remap yields the best results with a car that has an exhaust, headers and an intake. RR Racing are testing a bigger throttle body which should free up a few more horses. Looks like they will be offering a supercharge setup later on in the year too. Plenty of info over on ClubLexus.com edit - Peter should be testing out the handheld in a few months to see if it works with our UK spec ecus. I'm tempted to get one in August as a birthday present to myself. Exhaust first though.
  7. He probably means that the warranty can be seen as a waste of cash since the cars are so reliable that you shouldn't ever need to have any work done. Warranty includes european breakdown cover too. I'm still pondering over getting it but I'm sorely tempted by a remap as a birthday treat in a few months instead.
  8. From what I've seen missing stamps or no history affects sales/purchases. That and condition. The main issue with the ISF is potentially leaking water pumps. Aside from that they seem bulletproof. I'd look out for a car owned by a fellow member. Good luck with the search. I kept an eye on the market for 6 months before I bought my car in January.
  9. Well worth ringing around. Try mentioning the quotes above and ask them why they can't match or even get close to the price of those dealerships.
  10. In comparison Lexus Sheffield quoted me £1,235.54 for the everything but without the fuel treatments. Based on the price for the fuel treatment quoted by Lexus Leeds the ovetall price would have been £1,279.37 from Sheffield so a tad cheaper. I went with Leeds as they are much more local, just a 10 min drive from my office.
  11. My 3 year plan is £1296.45. That is for an 2008 car that is due a major service this year, intermediate next year and then the major + in 2018. The price includes 3 mots, a fuel treatment at each service and one air con service next year. List price was £1893.10 before the discount. They even dropped the pay monthly price to match the pay in full price. 1 payment of £106.98, 3 monthly payments of £106.89 and then 24 months of £36.20 This is with Lexus Leeds who are part of the Vantage group.
  12. Did they supply you with a breakdown of the prices for everything? Looking at my paperwork the total for the full and the intermediate services comes to £572.76 The individual price for each MOT is 37.99
  13. Welcome to the madhouse. If your new car is this one - http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201601280505397 Then the owner was definitely a member - http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/profile/51582-d19ako/
  14. The second one is still owned by a fellow member. It's been advertised via his friends car sales place I believe. Edit. There is more info on the car in this thread -
  15. I'd suggest looking into an X pipe for yours as that should help to change the tone of the exhaust. I love how lairy the H&S sounds especially without the cats but it's just not suitable for me as both a daily driver and with early/late trips out. I've got access to my brothers XFR in May so I will be booking my car in soon and using that to runaround in. Still trying to decide between the various cutout options.
  16. Have a look at carbon skimming. Peter has done this on his car and it looks stunning. Way better than any vinyl.
  17. I tried Sheffield and Bradford back in January and Leeds turned out to be the cheapest. Moving office in a few weeks and the Leeds branch will be on the way to the new place so it was a no brainer. I'm still deciding on the warranty. I have no plans to change cars for a while. I kept my last car for 2 years which is a personal record and I hope to own the ISF for even longer. Given the low mileage (33k) for it's age (2008) I think the car is ideal to rack some miles up and enjoy.
  18. It was the combination of the alcantara and the carbon fibre trim pieces that did it for me. That and those seats, they are awesome!
  19. Had some free time today so I visited the exhaust place to discuss my options. He has quoted me £800-£850 for a full system that includes the removal of the secondary cats. It will be 2.5" throughout using T316 grade aluminium instead of the usual T304 that other places use with two resonators in the midsection as per the JoeZ and the Y pipes for the cutout valves located before the backboxes. I forgot to discuss the option of switchable X and H pipes so will give him a call later this week. The aim is for it to sound louder than stock in regular mode but nothing too lairy. That is reserved for when the cutout valves are opened up! He is booked up till early May and will need the car for 3 day to get everything set up properly. This gives me enough time to decide on what cutout valves to go for.
  20. Went ahead with the service plan today. It was £33.60 more to go via the direct debit option but they knocked the difference off so £1296.54 via direct debit for 3 years worth of servicing and MOTs with the fuel treatment on each service plus an air con service next year. That's a saving of £596.65 compared to list. 4 payments of £106.98 followed by 24 payments of £36.20. The three services are a full one in August this year, an intermediate in 2017 and the Full + in 2018. Had a look around the new GSF as well whilst I was there. The interior is lovely!
  21. Yup that's what I was after, cheers. Looks like the discount is the usual one applied to a service pack rather than a club discount. Still a good saving though.
  22. Do you have a breakdown of what services are in the pack and details of the discounts applied?
  23. Did your email confirm the addition of the club discount on the service pack?
  24. What Michelins are you planning on going for? I'm trying to decide on what tyres to get next and I've narrowed it down to Michelin Pilot Super Sports and the new Continental Sport Contact 6. The Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 2 is still better than both of them in the wet though - http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2016-AutoBild-Sports-car-UHP-Summer-Tyre-Test.htm
