  1. I'm going with a design similar to the Joe Z one which looks like this The only difference is mine will have a pair of cutout valves before the back boxes for occasional use. Sadly the exhaust place is booked up till mid June. I guess it means I can get a dyno run in before and then another a few months later to see how much extra power the exhaust provides. Drop me a message if you fancy a run on the rollers and I'll add you to the list.
  2. Thanks for the pics. The exhaust was done by Originiall Fabrications. I was given the contact details by the previous owner of your F but I've decided to go with someone closer to home for my own exhaust. The car looks nicer with both the grill and the chrome around the windows painted in black. I'm planning on doing the same to mine at sone point. Interesting placement of the smiley, I have a few gunmetal ones but can't decide on where to put them. The towing eye covers on the rears are one of the options. Enjoy it in good health chap.
  3. I had a glitch when I went to tax mine as a new owner but I waited a few hours before trying it again and it worked. Fingers crossed they are open tomorrow.
  4. Finally got round to uploading a pic from the breakfast meet - I'm organising a rolling road day in Leeds in June if anyone fancies having a run with their ISF. I want to see what mine is running like before I have the exhaust fitted in mid June. Should be a good mix of cars and like minded petrolheads. It's on Saturday 4th June at RS Tuning in Leeds and the price is £35 per car.
  5. The new seats look awesome, the CF rear just completes the look and ties in with the skimmed stuff. Very nice indeed.
  6. Yeesh I'm paying £850 or thereabouts fully comp 12k a year with no mods
  7. Good point, forgot about the reg transfer. Sounds like a good plan.
  8. I may or may not have picked mine up a few days before the end of the month. As the previous owner had already paid tax for that month I may or may not have taxed it at the start of the following month.
  9. Wohoo, I guess I was right about the X Pipe then ;)
  10. Congratulations. Best colour for them (aside from ultra sonic blue) but then again I am biased as I also own a black 58 with low miles and full main dealer history. How does it compare to your 335i? I considered the Alpina B3 before buying the ISF but never got round to viewing or test driving one.
  11. Yup those wheels seem to be the optional ones. More commonly specced on cars across the pond.
  12. The ISF is my only car but I do occasionally drive other cars in the family fleet including my younger sisters 1.0 cvt K11 Micra. The automotive cockroach always helps to make my own car seem faster. I've been away for two weeks so haven't driven anything. Took the Micra for it's MOT today, finally driving the ISF tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it!
  13. The ISF isn't likely to need a warranty either 😉 Have you test driven both?
  14. I read that last night after they posted the link on Facebook. Any decent garage or tuner should be able to fit a set of headers. In our car we have Peter leading the way, H&S are looking into getting a set of headers made up for our RHD cars so let's wait and see how that goes.
  15. Reliable, rare and something left field. Granted the Alpina is the same but I'd go for an ISF over one.
  16. My brother had a set of Mina Gallery backboxes fitted to his XFR recently. Sounds awesome at full chat and some lovely pops and bangs on the downshifts. Planning on emulating that with my ISF but with a full dual system with resonators in place of the secondary cats and an X pipe to get the maximum increase in power. Will have some backboxes that are not too loud for normal use and cutout valves for tunnel runs 😁
  17. Sorry, misread your first post. Looking forward to hearing it in person at some point
  18. The noise at 3600 rpm is from the airbox at the front so that shouldn't change with an exhaust. Pics and a video or two would be good. Any droning at regular motorway speeds? I'm guessing it's still reasonably sensible given that the secondary cats are still present.
  19. Yup the uniformity of the weave is what really makes it stand out for me. Looks spot on and well worth the wait!
  20. that carbon skinned trim! Interested to see the development on the headers/manifolds. Cheers for helping the ISF community over here.
