    Is the finance quote for the current vehicle, or for the order you cancelled? I'm not an expert, but I would say that if you cancel an order, then all the terms relating to that order are cancelled with it. When you ordered the current vehicle, did the finance deal offer the deposit contribution?

    This shows that the original question may be right - the ES is too cheap! I think Lexus are causing the problem by holding the Premium Edition below the £40K VED break point. When I ordered mine in February 2022, the price difference between the Premium Edition and the Premium Pack was £4,500. Today it's £8,000.

    I use a Stoplock Pro Elite - don't believe Stoplock's guide; the Stoplock Pro doesn't fit.

    I bought a Stoplock Pro for my ES. The Stoplock guide said it would fit, but it didn't; there wasn't enough clearance over the centre of the steering wheel, and the horn kept sounding. I swapped it for the Pro Elite, which did fit. The first one came from Amazon - I got the second from Halfords, who let me try one on the car before I bought.

    I've just checked, and the 530e is not exempt from the congestion charge. (I looked up a used example on the BMW Approved site, and put the reg number into the TfL website.)

    The problem is that most people leave the handbook in the glovebox, so you can't refer to it when you can't get into the car.

    If the car was a little bit older, it could be an insurance write off if that part gets damaged!

    My android phone seems to connect then disconnect frequently. On a recent 5 mile journey around town, it seemed to disconnect and then connect again about 5 or 6 times. I'm not sure whether or not it does it in rural areas, because I'm not looking at the display so often. Is anyone else having the same thing happen?

    If it's a standard manufacturer fitted item, then it's easier to disable, as everything is always in the same place, and accessible for service.

    Maybe it's only a certain batch of components that have the issue, and yours is outside the range.

    Just received the letter for my MY23.

    I don't think so. As it's meant to avoid low speed collisions, it might cut in when you're about 10 feet from the truck, but at 70 mph I don't think it would have much effect! Otherwise it would be acting a bit like a radar cruise control . . .

    I believe that if you join the Lexus Owners' Club, you get a discount on servicing at certain dealers - but I can't tell you how much, because they don't seem to tell you that until you join, and i don't want to join unless I can work out if it's worth it! Maybe a member could enlighten us both?

    Are you sure you've got everything you want in that quote from Lexus? I got a quote from them where I added in Legal Cover, Protected NCB, Overseas use etc. The quote seemed reasonable. When I went back in to actually buy, the things I thought I'd asked for came up as extras again, so the actual price they wanted to charge was about £250 more. I went elsewhere.

    I just followed the prompts on the screen in the car, and entered my user name and password. It only happened once for me (so far), about 6 weeks into ownership.

    You now need a UK sticker, not GB. I have to say I don't recognise a lot of Linas' description of driving in Europe.
