  1. What a beautiful colour always good to be brave and different from the mould. Am sure the number of ES with this colour option will be rare in the UK. Very nice.
  2. Mine RX has just travelled to Leicester and back at home. Pleasant ride all the way
  3. It’s hard to swallow £231 for a piece of polystyrene. Luckily Lexus still fits a space saver wheel in the RX; but am sure when the 5th Gen RX comes along they will likely do away with it.
  4. Welcome to the forum Steve, hope you’re enjoying your car. Lexus are great products and you will enjoy the ownership over the coming years
  5. When I collected my new TX Takumi from Lexus Ipswich;; I received a lot of complimentary goodies including a big bouquet of white rose flowers for the wife. The bamboo box and digital card key had an aura of sophistication that can’t be fully described
  6. Perhaps the key fob battery itself needs changing. I have not actually changed one myself but I would imagine that it would be straight forward.
  7. No I didn’t as am on a service plan which was transferred over to the new car
  8. Would suggest a visit to an audio stockist where you would get good technical advice. Don’t be tempted to buy some of those Chinese stuff from eBay, their prices may look attractive but most don’t last beyond six months.
  9. I suppose what the thread shows is that we’re all different. While some take pleasure in detailing their cars for hours some are happy with a trip to the car wash and others are happy with a bucket & chamois leather. The main thing is to be happy
  10. I meant to write blasting off the dirt from the alloy wheels, that’s the only bit I enjoyed using the karcher for. I tried editing the original message but it didn’t work
  11. Like you I bought the karcher and only used it once, I find all the foaming rinsing procedures etc overwhelming and have reverted to using the bucket or £8 at my local car wash. The only part of using the machine was jetting brake dust off the tires.
  12. Looks like a lot of the issues you’ve described may just isolated and not general, to the 2020/2021 model. I have the same car RX Takumi picked up new las December and have none of those experiences other than initial wifi set up niggles. A Lexus technician eventually assisted me with the WiFi set up and it has been perfect ever since. Not really sure what advice could be given, which dealership are you dealing with? As it may be worth approaching others especially with technology related issues . Hope you find a lasting solution to help you enjoy your car.
  13. Totally agree with everything you've said about the Commonwealth Len. Many people do not appreciate the good works Britain has done for the Commonwealth nations (and still do via DIFD) and why King George VI particularly instilled those values of appreciating and welcoming the contributions of people of all nations to the war efforts (WWII) into our present Queen and instructed her to hold the Commonwealth dearly. I for one will not be a citizen of this Great country today contributing my own little quota were it not for a Commonwealth scholarship offered to my dad in 1962 to come and study accountancy at the then Regent Polytechnic London where he met my mum and then they had me in 1965. Long live the Queen.
  14. The Duke was a devoted consort (companion to the Sovereign) for almost 70 years, from Her Majesty’s Accession in 1952 until his death. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully yesterday morning at Windsor Castle. I join with people around the Commonwealth and the world in mourning his loss. The Duke was a devoted consort (companion to the Sovereign) for almost 70 years, from Her Majesty’s Accession in 1952 until his death. Banji Adegunju 10 April 2021.
  15. Am sure forum members are longing for an update on the LC convertible
  16. Paul like you I struggled at that stage trying to do the registration myself, the difficult bit is the selfie photo. So I ended up going to my local Lexus dealer who helped to sort that stage out.
  17. The Honda looks quirky, not seen one on the road yet but I sat in one last year October when we were collecting my wife’s CRV.
  18. Talking about e-bikes; I have not personally researched them much as I have a standard bicycle I use occasionally but the one mentioned by Kevin appear to be top end spec https://gocycle.com/models/gocycle-gx-gxi/ I can see it is highly specked and should hopefully fit into the booth of the LC convertible. Regards Banji
  19. We’re all looking forward to Kevin getting his hands on that convertible. If it were mine I would have died of the excitement and the thought of someone else having the luxury of putting the first few miles on the car before the real owner is hard to phantom. But given all the circumstances you have shared Kevin, I think we all agree our health comes first above all things. A car is only just a Car, wishing good recovery and many years of happy motoring; when the convertible finally arrives😄
  20. Kevin the LC convertible is looking gorgeous (am so jealous) I bet heads will turn around where you live this summer. I wonder why you haven’t gone to pick it up in Edinburgh up till now as I thought the car arrived over a week ago.
  21. May appear overkill but perhaps boffins at Lexus HQ need to see this
  22. Rabbers, your experience was hilarious but I hope your wrist gets better soon.
