  1. Interesting thing, my ECP invoice shows the LIST PRICE for the pads as £345.24, but the UNIT PRICE I paid was £52.90. And yes, the part number on both the invoice and the box is 101-82-101A. Lower down there is a P83146 number that I've seen used on other websites, including Amazon I think.
  2. 2010 car, and yes, I have the USB port in the armrest (I think)
  3. Poor picture, but the box and two strips you see here are what's on my 2010 car. So this is the DAB aerial fitted as an option by the dealer?
  4. OK. Mine is totally visible with a little black box about 20mm square, with two 'elements' that stick out about 200mm towards the rear view mirror. I'll try to get a photo later (if it's still daylight up here in Scotland).
  5. So is DAB an option? I thought it was integral to the ML unit that is in the ISFs. It's a bit tacky looking for a £50k car.
  6. I'm picking up my Brembo pads this evening. He clearly said they were available for us.
  7. Anyone else got an aerial stuck to the upper corner of the windscreen on the passenger side? If so, what is it?
  8. For some reason, they don't have anything other than brake fluid listed against my ISF.
  9. Fair enough. Might just get the bundle ordered to make use of the discount. Just seemed a bit weird that I could look online and see £200+ for Brembo pads, then £130 ish, then ECP step in and go for £53. You can understand the double take. They've put the details aside against my reg no in their system. I said I'd put some other elements aside and come back to them.
  10. I know, I found the same. I phoned my local store having given up on the online chat person ever completing my request. The guy said he has a separate system to the one we use / see, but he could see the Brembo pads against my reg no, despite my view only giving Pagid pads. His response was that he could do next day collection of Brembo pads (and I'll add Brembo discs) for £52.90 taking into account the current Halloween promotion. They're £68.77 under normal pricing. Now, the cynic in me kicks in because the next cheapest price I can find is from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IM1KZE0/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=75VTKQFI7WN2&coliid=I2EEVIVDSGNH5K Which is £134 delivered from Spain. ECP are half that price!?!
  11. ECP currently doing the Brembo pads for a tenner more than the Pagid. Worth it?
  12. Don't knock it. I looked yesterday following my service 'revelations' and they didn't have a sale on, so it's a pleasant surprise.
  13. From looking at NextDayBrakes, they have Brembo front pads with a part no of P8314
  14. Just to help, EuroCarParts are running a Halloween Sale with 30% off. This means the following: Brembo front discs move from £109.99 each (£219.98 for the pair) to £153.99 Pagid pads (until someone can get the Brembo equivalent) move from £59.99 to £41.99 Drops the total from £279.99 to £195.98 Not to be sniffed at. And the sale is on for the next 3-days (until the end of the 31st October)
  15. Hopefully your response doesn't align with your signature. Like I said, the S4 front rotor and pad change required two people (due to my never having done it before) and the caliper set-up was more complex. YouTube makes the ISF look like a doddle by comparison.
  16. Had the car in to the local brake place: we agreed that his price was much more appealing, but given I'd still got pad thickness left before the wear indicators kick in, and that the discs were OK for the moment, I'd run until the tell-tales started whining and then replace the lot. That being said, YouTube does indicate that the front rotors / pads change on this car are significantly easier than the S4, so I may just get the parts and have a go hero.
  17. For the ISF they only list solid SBS discs for the front: http://brakeparts.co.uk/#!/shop/LEXUS/IS-F/08-/IS-F USE20 ISF 5.0 PETROL/Front - Brake Discs and Drums/BDS6662 And Mintex pads for the front: http://brakeparts.co.uk/#!/shop/LEXUS/IS-F/08-/IS-F USE20 ISF 5.0 PETROL/Front - Brake Pads and Shoes/BPS3207 Would they be appealing to the masses?
  18. That's the service cost isn't it? Even then there's wiggle room; they're currently doing my service with Fuchs oil that I supplied rather than their £14 per litre stuff. Should save me about £73.
  19. I replaced the front discs and pads on my previous car (2009 Audi S4), and I'll have a look at YouTube tonight for doing the ISF ones, but I may just hand the car over to an indie to sort. Depends, really, how easy it is.
  20. Indeed - there's allowable uplifts for profit, but these figures were jaw dropping. Trust me, I'm going to check / double-check that there will be nothing missing before I go for the cheaper option. First things is to get them to check that the discs / pads actually need doing in the first place. Parts only from EuroCarParts are £280, so they're only giving themselves £90 for labour which is 1.5hrs. Could be worse.
  21. What are the E.F.Sensors? All the other bits will be fitted I'm sure.
  22. So dropped the ISF in to the local main dealer for it's (early) 70k service. Got a visual healthcheck back a couple of hours later indicating the following: Puncture OSF - £18 to fix, no problem, I'll authorise that Front pads down to 2mm - £540.66 fitted Front discs down to 28.74mm n/s and 28.71mm o/s (28mm limit) - £455.18 fitted So I phoned a local tyre / brake place (not KwikFit) who said they'd source the discs and pads from Lexus, then fit - £369.75 for the discs and pads (Brembos all round). Wow!! So £626.09 in their back pocket just like that. Just waiting on one more quote, and I'll get them sorted.
  23. Whirlio, Just did the road bike fandango and realised that it doesn't fit in the boot. What sort of bike bag do you have? I can see everything online from simple thin nylon type packaway bags, through 'box' like padded bags, to a rigid box. Short of just heading to Decathlon for one of these: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/bike-cover-bike-storage-accessories-and-travel-bags-black-grey-id_8023151.html, what's best?
  24. See there's the thing. For an alignment I'd head to a local specialist as I know that's their bread and butter and with reputation I'd be comfortable that they know better than a dealer how to set the car up. For servicing, technically I could change the oil myself, but that would be daft. So the question is, how far up the chain do you go? I know we're in the realms of not needing to have a main dealer stamp to maintain this that and the other. But these are rare cars and definitely enthusiast owned. I know I can get the car serviced elsewhere, afterall we're talking 10 litres of oil and an oil filter (plus the condition report), for £295. I've never seen anyone here particularly pushing for indy servicing, so until told otherwise, I assume people are using main dealers. I have no problem with £295 per se as compared to M cars or AMG vehicles I think the cost is probably reasonable. In fact, it's not far off what I was paying for my Lotus Elise S (I know, same family engine). However, I do think main dealers like to pull your pants down for consumables. So my asking about supplying my own oil yields an immediate saving of £110 over just throwing them the keys and coming back at the end of the day to collect. Can't sniff at that really.
