  1. Almost enough for a gathering!! I head east-west everyday from Edinburgh to Glasgow and back. Used to live in West Lothian, pre ISF though. Have had quite a turn over of cars, this one may stay (for the sake of marriage I think)
  2. So depending on who you believe, there are around 230-ish ISFs in the UK. Mine is currently in the works car park doing the daily grind and I happen to look outside and what do I see. V200W, take a step forward... Sonic blue, white interior, no sunroof. Couldn't find the thread about the guy who'd got a V based reg plate. Anyway, small world. And I passed a black ISF going past Edinburgh airport this morning too. So that's 3 in the central belt of Scotland.
  3. Daily driver between Edinburgh and Glasgow, mostly 5-days a week, sometimes less. For those that don't know; 66miles round trip each time.
  4. 2010, currently rocking about 57,500 miles. Stonechips on the front bumper are not nice though.
  5. I saw a twin version of mine (his '09, min '10) in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago. I was stationary at a junction, he cruised past and started at my car. I gave a thumbs up, he didn't even blink. Can't think why.
  6. I bought privately, recently, from a friend. Didn't feel like going for finance of any sort so paid him cash. Got a really good deal; paid him what he was offered as a px figure, rather than 'market'. His offer, I accepted. Should get me a year's 'free' motoring.
  7. I did similar when I picked mine up; got some hideous quotes but chose to pay the £85 (inc £25 amendment fee) to change the car on my currently policy. I'm with Hastings, in central Edinburgh postcode, doing 15k a year with 1k business, both my wife and I on the same terms, locked garage, declared the exhaust as a performance mod rather than aesthetic. 38yrs old with 9yrs NCB Total premium £340 pa.
  8. Another Ultrasonic blue one popped up (private). https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172202628419 2010, 44k miles, facelift (lsd, nav, etc etc), full LSH, one small tear in the isofix point, white interior instead of black. No bids at £18k, but he's asking £24k BIN.
  9. Fair enough. Is the DRL conversion to the sidelights though? I'll have to look at the details. That not withstanding, no danger of me spending £1200 on that sort of mod.
  10. Fair enough. I wasn't planning on changing it (not at that price), I was more interested in the functional differences. I can't imagine that even a single pipe system would decrease the power levels, I would however expect that a dual system would yield 'better' gains.
  11. 38 (firmly in mid-life crisis according to my wife).
  12. Out of interest (to the uneducated), what's the difference between going for a dual system like that and the single pipe system that appears to be on my steed?
  13. Funnily enough, the exhaust on this one is not as brutal as the Stage 3 I had on my 2014 Lotus Elise S. That one was non-valved, about 2ft long and popped / banged / gargled at will all the time. This one is positively sedate by comparison!! When I get a moment, I'll head out (subject to torrential rain not blowing in) and get a better video of the exhaust.
  14. I'll confirm what previous owner told me when I get it up and running. He suggested a bit of drone at motorway speeds, so closes the valve if it gets too much. In town, its valve open all the time :)
  15. While I can't claim anything other than current ownership of the exhaust, I agree with your comment over the workmanship. As for the garage, where the car is parked is mine and eminently usable. Where the exhaust pieces are pictured, no idea. Mind you, my last garage was better.... Complete with office space above. All gone now :(
  16. I've started a thread in the model specific part of the forum, complete with photos, so rather than duplicate, please have a look here: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/107902-new-black-isf-in-scotland/
  17. So this last weekend I picked up the ISF from a friend. Basics are black with black, with valved cat back. Currently ticking over the 55k mark. Some photos for perusal... If you look at my other thread, it's currently stuck in my garage due to DVLA / weekend / public holiday leading to inability to tax the car. I'll be on the phone at 0800 tomorrow, rest assured, as I need to give my wife her car back and be at work. So, I took the opportunity to give it a bit of a clean. And add a sticker.. Then there were some (GibletPH being one) who wanted some photos of the exhaust. I don't have the name of the garage / fabricator to hand, but could get it I'm sure. So here are the photos. And all together on the car...
  18. Will be on the phone at 0800 with the V5C/2. After that who knows. If they're closed I'll pilfer my wife's car for the day and wait for Tuesday. That'll go down well!!
  19. 'Successful application alrrady completed This vehicle has been taxed or notified as off the road within the last 5 days. If you have recently purchased the vehicle this could have been done by the previous keeper. You still need to tax. Use the new keeper supplement V5C/2 to apply again online.' But if I click the link, it just takes me back to where I started from. Because it was SORN'd under previous ownership, online, I can't even go online now and do an ownership transfer because that is Mon-Sat only, and the tax is as above. Will try DVLA at 0800 tomorrow and see what happens.
  20. So first things first, the grille surround is body coloured (I.e. black paint, not dipped or wrapped). Secondly, the car is in the garage with a full tank of fuel waiting to go. Thirdly, I'm in DVLA hell.... Car was SORN'd on Saturday, but is now stuck in limbo as the online 24/7 tax system won't allow me to retax as a new owner with the V5c/2. All post offices are closed, and a counter transaction is risky. I'm unsure as to whether DVLA Customer Services will be open tomorrow as its a bank holiday, and I have to get to work (as I'm public sector yet oddly don't get this bank holiday). Feck, as they say up here.
  21. Has anyone or is it even possible / legal to have the sidelights / parking lights sorted to be equivalent of DRL? I'm thinking the LED bulb swap, and wired somehow to come on with ignition. surely I can't be the only one that's thought about it, which suggests my Google-Fu isn't very good, or I'd have found the answer one way or another.
  22. Just sorted insurance for the weekend; £350 for 15k a year inc business use. I know people have good / bad relationships with any given insurer, but I'm happy with that. Just got to pay for the car now. Roll on the weekend!!
  23. Very nice. Should be picking mine up this weekend. Whereabouts in Perthshire are you? I occasionally visit Perth itself as we have offices at Broxden Business Park.
