  1. There is a software update available from Lexus dealerships which virtually eliminates the 'lurching' problem, although apparently very few people have bothered to have this fix done.
  2. Not at all, it works very well. Very occasionally I get the odd wipe when dry for no apparent reason, probably caused by a relection from somewhere. or even a reflection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Totally different from other concept pictures published on this forum, which supposedly, by all accounts, were what the 2009 model would look like. Nothing at all like these latest pictures.
  5. Yes, with a 3 way switch: Marked Door - Off - On. (Page 99 of manual)
  6. Mine the same, an obvious oversight by Lexus not to backlight this switch.
  7. Quite simple really, put side lights on, then take bulbs out of the side you don't want on!
  8. There is a software upgrade that will correct about 90% of the 'lurching' problem. Mine was done about 6 months ago, so I know this for sure. Where did you get the software upgrade done ? I assume a Lexus dealer. Did they do it free of charge ? Any Lexus dealer, FOC under warranty.

  10. Try Ebay, search 'Lexus Wiper Blades' (Item number: 230106549973 as an example).
  11. This site gives a bit more info on the new RX:- www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=116536#11]2008 RX350
  12. In the absence of special towing recommendations from your vehicles' manufacturer, the rear tyres should be set to the "fully laden" pressures. Where "fully laden" and "standard" pressures are the same, increase the tyre pressures at the rear of the car by 4 to 7 psi (0.3 - 0.5 bar), cold, compared to the "standard" pressure.
  13. It is not strictly true about the 'Lurching' statement made above. A software fix is available to cure this problem. I had mine done a few months ago, and the problem has gone.
  14. My dealer will charge for optional insurance. The car comes free.
  15. Search this site for 'Rx300 Sel Suspension, Collapse'. This should answer your query, although my May'05 SE-L was, I was assured, not susceptible to the same problem as it only applied to earlier models.
  16. which Rx is this affecting Mine is a dec 2005 model but not heard anything from anyone. No recall listed on VOSA site either Can anyone advise if I might be affected?? (dont want to ring dealer without any ammo !!!) Also silly question but the Hazard warning button in car should this Flash when in operation??? mine doesnt and to be honest dont know if it ever did! My May 2005 SE-L is not subject to a recall, so yours surely will not be either, and no the button does not flash.
  17. Is this recall for all RX's? Mine is 18 months old but I have heard nothing.
  18. Hope this link works, as it could be the first illustrations of the 2009 RX Models I have seen, supposedly available spring 2008, 2008 RX350 but if not, this is the address: www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=116536#11]2008 RX350
  19. Has anybody else had this ECU upgrade and was it successful? This subject seems to have lost interest lately.
  20. Taken my RX many times on the ferry and have always locked the car with the alarm on and have never had a problem. I do not believe the RX has a vehicle motion sensor anyway, only the internal intusion sensor. Or even an 'Intrusion Sensor' !!!!!!!!!
  21. I read a while back that from model year 2007, Toyota and Lexus will be using Lithium-ion batteries (weighing less than a third of those currently used) and that mains charging will also be possible.
  22. You can call any contact stored in the 'One Touch' directory whilst on the move. A friend on mine has 'TomTom' navigation in his car and I am horrified when he fiddles with it whilst driving. I read recently that numerous accidents are caused by this wreckless behaviour. I only wish that the same safety features that my Lexus Navigation has applied to all portable systems.
  23. Except (in the UK) roof rails are now an optional extra.
  24. Before buying a RX400h now, might I suggest you read this article: http://www.soultek.com/clean_energy/hybrid...ius_in_2008.htm It would appear that the Hybrid technology, in particular the change from NiMH to ultra efficient lithium-ion batteries for model year 2008 (Prius and RX) and even possible mains charging, it would probably mean a huge devaluation on Lexus Hybrids purchased now. Just a thought!
  25. The Sat Nav has improved graphics. Lexus sent an old price list so have no idea on prices Their web site makes no reference at all to the 350.
