  1. Having just received today the new RX350 brochure (and an old price list) I ask myself what apart from the increased engine size and a few other minor details, what would entice me to change my 300. Answer: Absolutely nothing, not even a new colour.
  2. My 9 month old RX has only done 1000 miles and not used at all during 'salty road' weather (Lexus excuse for the problem), and yet all 4 wheels are showing the 'bubbling'. Last RX had the same problem. Surprised the Lexus service book doesn't state 'Change all wheels at first service!'
  3. Last week Lexus Customer Services told me May/June. My dealer told me yesterday (21st) that he had not been given any dates yet and no prices whatsoever. Typical confused information from different sources.
  4. Lexus GB advise RX350 available May/June. Full UK specification to be available soon and that there are not any new colours. :shutit:
  5. Seems like they are correcting the 'Lurching' problem in the US by a software update. They call it Hesitation (Jolt). See LOC (US) Web page: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21030&st=0
  6. I did not have any problem 'pairing' my K750i with the car. I did find however that the connection dropped every time I tried to send my contacts to the car. My dealer, Lexus Customer Services and Sony could not help with this problem. After much trial and error I did eventually manage to send the contacts to the car and have twice managed to add further contacts, but for the life of me I cannot fully explain how to do this. It just seems that if you keep trying it will eventually work. Good luck. :duh:
  7. :duh: As previous link obviously doesn't work, try this: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/28993/le...uces_up_rx.html - or search the Auto Express Website! :duh:
  8. More info here: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/28993/le...uces_up_rx.html
  9. Sony Ericssons work very well. T610 that's way too old. I recommend one of the following: Sony Ericsson K750i, K600, V600, V800. ← My Sony Ericsson K750i is 'paired' with the car, but as soon as I try to send contacts from the phone to the car, the connection drops. Sony, Lexus Customer Services and my dealer have not been any help at all in offering any suggestions as to what the problem could be.
  10. Yip passengers side mirror doesn't fully tilt when you engage reverse (with the mirror switch in the correct position) - amy ideas car is only 4 months old ← If the mirror is set in a low position it will not appear to tilt much. If this is not the case see your dealer.
  11. Out of 159 cars in survey the RX300 came 3rd from top . The Mercedes M Class came 4th, from bottom.
  12. Discs are often for sale on Ebay, maybe not the latest but they don't change a great deal from year to year.
  13. If you mean not tilting this will not happen with the left/right switch in the central position, other than that please elaborate on the problem.
  14. Does anybody know if it is possible to transfer single entry contact details from the Sony Ericsson K750? I previously incorporated all of the numbers from my Motorola phone into the system, but when I try to transfer a single contact from my new Sony phone, the transfer does not happen. Apart from this, the car connection works perfectly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  15. My Motorola Bluetooth connection will dial any number on the POI screen. The +44 prefix makes no difference.

  17. I recently drove 30 miles with the warning light on and the range stating 14 miles, but it only took 65 litres to fill to the brim. The quoted tank capacity is 72 litres. The 'range' is obviously totally unreliable so I guess the average driver should be able to drive at least 50 miles or so from when the warning light comes on.
  18. There must be 100's of RX owners who accept the car as it is, as I did before this topic was started, not realising it could and should have a smoother transmission, so will Lexus GB us? I doubt it.
  19. My dealer in Exeter pointed out the corrosion to me at my first service, ordered 5 new wheels and replaced them 1 week later. The strange thing was that I hadn't actually noticed it until it was pointed out to me. I will be more observant on my second Mk2 RX. :mat:
  20. Now that I have done a few miles in my second SE-L I find that the 'Lurching' is worse in the new car. I also feel that there is more road noise with the Dunlop tyres as opposed to the Bridgestones. Anyone else notice this?
  21. The full specification of the Mark Levinson Audio System is available in a separate brochure available from your dealer. :) Without a doubt it is the best car audio system I have ever had and in no way compares to the standard system. :)
  22. Lexus is offering an RX 300 called simply the Limited Edition. This comes with leather upholstery, eight-way adjustable/heated front seats, a split-folding rear seat, 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and metallic paint, as well as the standard cruise control, six-CD audio system, gas-discharge headlights, climate control, tinted glass and nine airbags. Prices start from £31,995; that's £1,500 more than the standard entry-level model, though it has £3,500-worth of optional extras. Further options include a DVD player, satellite navigation and parking sensors with rear-view cameras. The Limited Edition is available in Brechin Slate or Stafford Blue metallic paint with beige or black leather interiors
  23. :P Thats ok, but it does not charge the phone or increase the signal strength. ← I understood that the aerial that runs along the bottom of the windscreen does increase signal strength. I certainly get better reception on the move now that I have the Bluetooth connection.
  24. Just wondering why you guys are bothering with a phone cradle. I leave my bluetooth phone in the 'sliding' storage box and it works perfectly.
  25. I had the same dilemma but finally decided to replace my 2 year old Brechin/Oakham SE-L with exactly the same as it was the only combination I liked. Anyone notice that the price for metallic paint has gone up from £375 to £550? I would have had the RX400h I ordered if it had been available in Brechin Slate but unfortunalely it isn't.
