  1. Honda is probably my 1st choice. Just got to get over the looks... I have driven an FK2 in anger and loved it. The FK8 is growing on me looks wise. Think it's a mid life crisis 😉 They sound ******* though so would have to invest in an exhaust straight away.
  2. Got a 3 year old and a 6 month old. Issue is the faff with a rear facing car seat and a coupe. I am not too fussed but Mrs is adamant I can't get a coupe (she pulled veto on the last E46 M3 I went to buy). As soon as the 6 month old is old enough to clamber in the back then RCF is a good choice 🙂
  3. I have set myself a 30k limit for next motor. At moment list is... C63/E63 E90 M3 saloon FK2/8 Type R Ideally I would love a GSF but I don't think they will dip below 30k. RCF is another car I adore but with 2 kids the 4 doors of ISF/GSF really are ace. Oddballs are the I30N (2 of my mates have these now and I love them) & E46 M3 - my only bucket list car that's still obtainable. 🙂
  4. Well I am hoping the "Mod God" chirps up 😉 Cheers bud. Flat on corners is what I want. Looks cool at end of the day 😉
  5. Japan has amazing buses and trains. They are full of hot women who blokes can play with. Well... That's how it appears to some of the videos I have seen recently 😉
  6. Got some decisions to make early next year wrt car. Lichelle will be over 10 years old and out of Lexus warranty and unsure whether to keep her or venture into something else. She will turn 80k in January at current rate. If keeping her she will be more heavily involved on the track next year with a few track days and Ring Trips on the cards already now the Mrs has finished firing kids out of the baby cannon. She even asked what weekends I am at the Nurburgring next year so she may have found another man 😉 So... To cut to the chase... I have done the exhaust, done the intake (both of which I love and are pretty easy to switch out to standard in case of warranty claim) but next thing to tackle will probably be the suspension. Options at moment are... (Along with initial thoughts) Original equipment refresh (not necessary if out of warranty and maybe more of the same unless upgrading to later ISF spec) Coilovers (Tein adjustable. Always think that with them being 30 way adjustable then it's 29 ways of getting it wrong per shock) Bilstein B6 shocks and Tein Springs (cheapest option and may work out best for mixture of daily driving/track) So question really is... Anyone done/experienced any of this already and how have you found it? Is it worth it? Searched the US sites and they are all a bit too much about "stance" for me 😉 Any thoughts and suggestions welcome. Please bear in mind that it's for a 400bhp RWD car that does 0-60 in 4.x seconds and is definitely not a ULEV 😉
  7. Quick someone post a link to dashcam overtake fails and then the transformation is complete 😉
  8. Same here. Look at the gap left between the petrol pump and the IS. Shocking. Or the gap the young lady has to get into in order to get into her RCF. Or the gap left between the GSF and the RCF
  9. @tomRCFcarbon embrace it. You have the hottest thread on the forum at the moment 😉
  10. Nah, video not directed at anyone. Just always makes me chuckle thinking of that scene from the In Betweeners when buses are mentioned 🙂
  11. @Comedian - @tomRCFcarbon started the bloody thread. I am just trying to expedite it's closure or it's migration to GreenPeace.com or Pistonheads under the Archive heading 😉
  12. Not gonna lie. I had to Google what ULEV stood for. Petrolhead me 🙂 without googling I don't know what PHEV stands for either on the side of those Mitsubishi's but going to guess at Petrol Hybrid Electric Vehicle.
  13. Although they are made of unobtainium so an RS3 more realistic 🙂
  14. I reckon it's either someone who believes that it is a future classic or someone who places great importance in 0-60 times. Or both 😉
  15. So you are looking at C180 AMG Sports instead of a C63s 😉
  16. Actual real life example of this happened to me last year. We were leaving Germany and had a text from EuroTunnel saying that a blockade of the terminal was due later on that day. About 6 cars were in our group (2 x ISF's, 1 x Fiesta ST, 1 x Audi A3 and a BMW 320d). Myself and other ISF owner thought.... Screw the convoy & hit the autobahn and were "cruising" at about 150mph. We were somewhat pushing on through Netherlands and most of Belgium as well (apart from Brussels with the usual traffic fest) Stopped to fill up in Belgium as we were soon nearing empty. The slower cars went past us while we were stationary. They made it into the terminal with about 30 seconds to spare. We were 5 mins behind and our crossing was delayed by 4 hours. If ever there was a case of the Hare and the Tortoise 😉
  17. Slight Tangent... My Uncle used to have the 3.0 24V Vauxhall Senator. That was a cool car back in the day. If it was good enough for the Traffic Police :-) On the Carlton front, one of the senior managers here has a Lotus Carlton (Along with an E39 M5 and an F10 M5) will nab a picture of it when it's next in the car park. Cool bit of kit :-)
  18. Yep. Aware I was plagerising you a tad 😉 It's when the acceleration gets you into trouble that we have to start a thread.... "How much importance do you place on 60-0" 😉
  19. Better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it 🙂
  20. I don't see any of them becoming classics. Depending on your generation, I grew up watching Audi Quattros rallying, BMW's in BTCC and Mercedes in Lemans so when the time came for me to get a V8 I was steered towards those marques based on nostalgia. My 1st experience of Lexus was my grandad bringing home an LS400 on a 24 hour test drive back in about 1990 which was in Champagne Gold metallic. I hated it. He bought an E34 535i instead which was ace in white and looked like a Police car so people used to get out the way on our way down to Portsmouth to watch football every Saturday. I tested a B7 RS4 and it was as dull as dishwater. E90 M3 saloons were a bit of a stretch & the C63 AMG was too much. It was a friend of mine who had an IS220d at work who mentioned the ISF to me. I had only even seen them on the Top Gear review which they didn't fair well on against the competition. Ironically the same friend has bought an ISF as well 🙂 Mine turned up in my price bracket down the road. I had to get rid of my awful 335i as it was put together with Lego and almost killed me and the family when it's fuel pump failed in the fast lane of the M1. I watched this YouTube review and it convinced me to take the ISF for a test drive I tested the ISF, liked it, bought it. Since grown to love it and will wax lyrical about it to whoever is interested. By the time they are rare enough to be classed as classics then fuel will probably be at £4 a litre and it will have to resort to Mad Max tactics to get a litre of V Power 😉
  21. From experience Cup 2's need heating up before they grip above/beyond the MPSS or MPS4S tyres. If using car for occasionally not really an issue. For a daily driver (as mine is) may become an issue.
  22. Been running the exhaust for a while now and no sign of the bodywork melting yet 😉
