  1. I found on my nx the lights were good. On dark roads I use high beams which are there to be used. Not driven RX on dark country or unlit roads yet so can't comment
  2. if you pay monthly for a 3 year plan, can you decide to come out of it after the 1st or 2nd service?
  3. So what about then instead of paying Lexus the monthly instalments, you just put that money away earning you interest instead of Lexus? At least that way you have a fund should you need it. (ok the interest rate is not great but its still working for you).
  4. Great, I can fry those pesky cyclists that take up the entire road with my super powerful laser beam LED headlights. 😁
  5. I agree, its just the sum of 3 years worth or 30,000 miles worth of services at todays price fixed for 3 years. For me, I know the price will rise with inflation but I would rather pay year on year and have the extra cash in my pocket today to pay for other expenses. If you have £1300 to spend that you won't miss then go for it. I think the small service is about £250 and the big one is about £590.
  6. I downloaded the brochure but I only saw it listed with the safety pack version 2.5. I think the 2020 only has version 2.0
  7. I found them quite good on the NX though that was the first time I had LED headlights. Huge difference to the older halogens on my previous car.
  8. Finally ordered. F-Sport Takumi a little under 2 years old with v low mileage. OMG I am very excited. Really wanted the 360 cam. Keen to check out the LED headlights with this bladescan thingy.
  9. Cool, thanks. Just need to talk in to my watch and have the car come and pick me up.
  10. Because its a gadget and also you can pretend its Knight Rider
  11. Hi Does anyone know which version of the 450h (if any) has Lane Changing Assist (LCS)? Thats when you have LTA and dynamic cruise on and you indicate to change lanes and the car does it for you. Would be cool to have.
  12. I hope this is not with all, I just ordered mine with front and rear camera. Though to be fair I still use FM radio, I always found that sounded better than DAB, then again I generally only listen to one station these days.
  13. Where do you get cross climates from. I haven't seen any for the 20"s on the rx
  14. Both same spec, full service history, good condition. just one is a bit older than the other and a bit cheaper. Its an age vs a few £££ in your pocket dilemma
  15. I have another topic of conversation today. I was chatting with a couple of friends and both have different thoughts on what they would do, so I guess this is subjective but thought I would throw it out there. You have seen 2 RXs Car A is 2 years old has less than a years mileage on it. Car B is approaching 3 years old, has around 2 years mileage on it. Car B is £1500 to £2000 cheaper than A (subject to negotiation). You could go for A, having a car a year newer and keeping it a year longer but it will cost more and depreciate quicker between year 2 and year 3. or you could go for B, having the same car but saving a few pounds. Possibly slightly cheaper insurance and you could still possibly get a 4 year gap insurance on it still. I have one friend who says its worth the extra cost but I have another that would pocket the difference and put it towards servicing and insurance. I am just curious as to what other people would do. Purely hypothetical but an interesting point of debate.
  16. ah no, sorry really tired when I wrote that. I meant they aren't OBD, only 12v lighter plugs on them
  17. I had a look at that famous online vendor named after a rain forest but all they have are 12v versions. Anyone know any UK site that has a 50w charger that comes with an OBD lead?
  18. Thanks again. So I should look at a 50W OBD charger. Do you think anything bigger is overkill?
  19. Hey all, I'm looking for an OBD II or a 12 cigarette plug solar charger to plug in when I go away for a couple of weeks, so I can keep the battery topped up. I read that this is a good precaution. Is there any difference between one that pugs in to the OBD port and one that plugs in to the 12 lighter socket? Also is there a max wattage I should use as I see quite a wide range of sizes. I am guessing that the tiny ones won't do much but what about some of the bigger ones? Can they cause damage by dumping too much solar power in at a time? Looking at maybe a 20W or a 50W Thanks
  20. Yep, I agree, sports mode is too reactive in cities and "day to day" driving. I can't even remember when I used eco mode as that makes no difference to me.
  21. Usually when I am on fast A roads or Motorways. The suspension and steering stiffens up which I prefer and the accelerator is quicker to respond. I don't find it worsens MPG as doing 70 in normal or S+ is still doing 70, just means when you slow down and speed up the car is a bit livelier and reacts faster. Official figures only gives it 28 MPG on motorways and I get in to the 30s.
