  1. Full Leather 'v' Escaine I drove my IS200 Sport '02' for 33k miles and constantly tried to find a comfortable seat position. Now have the IS300 '04' with full leather and these seats are much more supportive, any seat postion on these seems to be comfortable whatever ! Much easier to clean too
  2. Hi, On my last car '02' IS200 Sport, when i pushed the TILT button on the moon roof it either fully opened or closed completely. On my new car '04' i can now by pressing and releasing the TILT button adjust the gap of the roof. The 2nd press of the SLIDE button still fully opens the roof like on the old car. What does yours do?????????????? :)
  3. I recently traded in my IS200 SPORT '02' and worked it out that i lost £266.66 per month . I expect im losing more than that now on my IS300 '04' :o Its not that drastic really when you think of other cars that depreciate more rapidly. Items that have a huge demand but are in short supply keep a good price, just look at the house market ! :duh:
  4. I found that on my IS200 Sport, when i cleaned the interior of the car and polished the leather gaiter afterwards it started to creak. For some reason the rubber underneath the gaiter was rubbing against something causing the noise, however the old twist of the gaiter soon stopped it and eventually once the polish wore off the noise went too. :)
  5. That's the Moon Roof ! ;) We're talking about Air Conditioning, Durrrr :duh: Come on pay attention :winky: Seriously, I would and always have done, ran the air conditioning monthly to keep the seals healthy. Not sure that the auto feature is anything to worry about, but 'Yes' all vent should be open when using this feature.
  6. The Fan spray hits the screen quite low down but high enough to ensure all the water goes where it should and not back on the bonnet, so visability isnt really a problem here. :)

  8. Triple Washer Jets are old hat now :P The latest models now come with a FAN-TAIL Spray :D I had the Triple Jets on my IS Sport and spraying in the same spot for soo long put 3 holes in the screen either side Fan-Tail anyday
  9. My IS200 Sport 'Clunked' away straight from the dealership when it only had 4 miles on the clock :o 33k miles later it still clunked ! Sold it and got an Auto :P Much better
  10. Your decision should rest on the type of driving you use the car for ! I clocked up over 33k miles on my '02' Sport, and I now have a '04' IS300 Auto, I would never go back to manual gears, but this is because I am driving All day EVERY day. So, if you only drive in the evenings and weekends I can highly recommend the Sport, BUT the main thing I disliked about it was the fact that it had 6 gears and a VERY close ratio gearbox (and i mean the revs would only drop about 400rpm between gear changes) and i was changing gears more often and when you are driving all day and around town it becomes very tiring (especially with a 2nd gear clonk!). The other thing is that during motoray driving, the revs are at 3000 rpm and the speed is only 64mph ! and it would REALLY need a 7th gear. ;) The auto box on the IS300 suits me best and im not being bias towards the IS300 the fact that its a much faster car, because its soooo new i havent even floored it yet, so I havent yet experienced the power side of it. You would lose the L.S.D. by going for the SE auto, but hey ! In the 33k miles i drove my Sport, it never once had to be used. Auto for me ! P.S. I drove a SE auto once and the acceleration from standing felt quicker than the manual.
  11. Nope ! Mine came in the glovebox Cos i didn't get a pot with my new car, I held onto the old one being as the colour was the same. :D
  12. I got a FREE tin when i bought my NEW IS200 Sport back in 2002, but didnt get any with my NEW '04' IS300 Was told you have to get it from the parts department from now on !
  13. My '02' IS200 Sport had 'Japan' Dunlop SP9000 from new, and when i traded it in recently they had covered 33,000 miles with loads of tread still left. Recon i could have squeezed 50,000 out of them. :) My NEW '04' IS300 is running on Bridgestones re040 and the ride is much quieter, but then that maybe the car
