  1. I'm never going to buy a car with this pop-up bonnet system, where on earth could you drive it without it being triggered every day. Costly to repair, sod that! What the hell are Honda playing at?!?! :duh:
  2. That's what it feels like after visiting Tony at Wheels In Motion, who 'put-right' my IS300 troubled with poor tyre wear and nervous handling. :duh: My car has never felt this good to drive, even from brand new ! :) The car has suffered with poor handling and tyre wear from day one and has been in and out of the main dealership several times for re-alignment but never quite got it right. The car became so unconfortable to drive that I even considered selling it. :o Anyone with similar problems should certainly book an appointment asap BIG Thanks to Tony :D
  3. GS300SE - 2007 Model Both door mirrors tilt down when selecting reverse, can you turn this facility off or can you dictate which mirror you want to dip (Left or Right). Any help would be apprieciated :)
  4. Maybe you need a holiday :) Your not thinking straight :winky: :D KEEP THE IS300 :D
  5. I don't know, only a mechanic could answer this. I don't think that the lack of use is the cause, because i motor 500 miles a week and they get used a lot.
  6. Im glad its stopped :) Anyone else had this problem?
  7. Mine has just gone out of the 3 year warranty but i am going to renew it for another year. I don't think this is right for the jets to leak, only they didn't do it on my other IS. I also have doubts that the window screen washers have lost a bit of power too, they don't seem to squirt up the screen as high as they used to, maybe its just my imagination. Maybe you could check yours.
  8. Is it still under warranty? Ive recently discovered that screenwash is leaking from below my front bumber were the washer jets are. When i manually pull the washer jet out from the bumper, i get a pool of water on the floor, i don't think this should happen because it didn't do this on my IS200 Sport.
  9. Mars Without naming names, does your dealership begin with 'W'?
  10. The manufactures warranty is soon due to expire, Lexus recently wrote to me offering to extend the warranty but with no info. relating to period and cost. What have other members paid and do you think it is money worth spending?
  11. I get on average 29-30mpg on mine, and my driving is a mixture of all roads (motorway, A & B-roads, around town etc..). My IS200 Sport would average about 32mpg
  12. Mine was £600 last summer ! Can't remember what they did i'm sure that the 4 wheel lazer alinement knocked up the price, part of the service is 'Checking' the geometry for free, BUT any adjusting will COST ! :shutit:
  13. Have you tried Lexus Woodford in Essex, not far from you :)
  14. Having owned from new a IS200 Sport '02' for 2 years and then from new a IS300 '04' for 3 years, and a high mileage driver at that, if your budget can stretch to buying a IS300 (a lot of good priced ones out there) then I would go for the comfort and refinement of the IS300 . This isn't just a IS200 with a bigger engine ! When my 300 was in for servicing, they lent me a 200 and the lack of comfort and quietness was very noticeable, I was glad to get back into my 300. I'm not harping on about the obvious power difference here that would be unfair, because my 200 Sport was great fun indeed and once when the sport was in for servicing I was lent a SE and that was even more inferior to drive with loads of body roll etc. :duh: , the SE was an automatic and oddly enough was much quicker from 0- on accelaration than the manual 6 speed of my sport! The IS300 is an auto but does come with manual gears on the steering wheel and an LSD on the rear wheels ! This maybe of some help towards your decision and may also 'spark-off' some heated debate , but overall your driving style could be analysed as follows: 1/ Concerned MPG driver, not too bothered about gismos = IS200 se 2/ Likes gismos and looks, may modify later, looking for good solid handling, don't mind changing gear a lot and could do with a 7th gear for motorway driving = IS200 Sport 3/ Same looks & gismos as Sport, Sod the MPG (mind you I get 32 at max), great for around town with no constant gear changing, likes comfort and refinement & POWER! = IS300
  15. Had mine done last week by Tony and it feels like a new car :) My Lexus dealership have aligned it time-after-time but could never get it right, the car was alway nervous at high speed. Tony has cured all the issues my car had and it's a real pleasure to drive now :D
  16. I've been noticing a leak on the ground directly beneath one of the washers
  17. Hi, I've just noticed that if I manually pull up the headlamp washers all the way from the front bumper, I get quite a lot of screen wash gush out all over the floor directly under the area where the washer is. This NEVER happened on my IS200 Sport '02', but it is happening to my IS300 '04' WHY???? :shutit:
  18. Just want to say a big thanks to Tony at W.I.M. for sorting out my IS300 this week. It was last tracked 6 months ago at my local Lexus garage but they couldn't sort out the cars nervousness. Read several threads about W.I.M. and decided to give it a go, Tony did a great job and you receive a more personal 1-to-1 service which helps when you have particular issue with the cars driving. There's also a FREE re-test after 2000 miles to check everythings okay. I will go there in future for my wheel alignments and shall recommend anyone who's experiencing handling problems with their car. :)
  19. I wonder what I would do if I actually 'caught' someone doing this red-handed? I would end-up being arrested instead of the :tsktsk: that caused the damage! Personally, i would aproach the shops for any CCTV footage instead of relying on the police.
  20. I too was there and really enjoyed the whole experience. Drove the GS, RX & SC and was very impressed with the GS hybrid. Thanks Lexus GB & Woodford for a great day, also Blakes Golf club was very impressive too Byeeeeeeeee :D :D :D
