  1. I too have owned a IS200 Sport and now own a IS300 and am very pleased with the MPG. I average 30mpg in the IS300, I use it every day and clock-up about 500 miles a week (various types of roads). GO FOR IT !!!
  2. It's such a shame that you sold your IS300. I had exactly the same problem as you until I found out about Tony at W.I.M. He sorted my car straight away and the car is better than from brand new. No more bad tyre wear and the handling is superb ! I nearly sold my IS300 because of the nervous handling this car produced and the uneven tyre wear on the fronts, but i'm soo glad of this website and finding Tony, I would recommend him everytime no matter what car or alignment problem. One happy customer :) :) :)
  3. Lets go the whole hog and chuck in the '2nd gear 'CLONK' noise' as well!
  4. Also, think back to when you took driving lessons. 'Apply handbrake and select neutral gear' ;)
  5. Have you also tried putting the steering on a FULL LOCK and driving at slow speeds? Our tyres scrub across the surface when doing this. Our '07 GS300 is behaving the same way as yours it seems despite them doing alignments, and don't even begin to mention the tyre wear!!
  6. I know someone that has an '07 GS300 and complains that there is a strange noise from the drivers wheel, especialy over 50 mph, almost sounds like a rumbling/vibrating noise, certainly not road surface noise. Any ideas?
  7. Since Tony @ WIM did the geo.settings on my car, the handling and tyre wear is now perfect, much better than when the car was brand new. Uneven tyre wear is a thing of the past. :D I did have a IS200 Sport on a 02 plate which I bought brand new and this had perfect handling and tyre wear, never needed alignment, so I was totally shocked when I spent £30k upgrading to a IS300 only to find it drove like a pig and tyres wore down so soon!
  8. Not just happening to IS200 & IS300 Also happening to brand new GS300's as well
  9. As soon as I read 'BMW' I knew it would be trouble :P I wonder if these are the same F :tsktsk: ERS that shot at me? See my post........
  10. These cars are meant to withstand a front and rear impact of 5mph without any damage. I'm sure it wasn't deliberate.
  11. Well.....it's a matter of police investigation , so it might be wrong to give too much information at the moment but, let's just say it's around the M11 & M25 area. And yes, I have not done any wrong :)
  12. Seriously, the police have been very good and show an interest in what happened. Must say they have acted very quickly over this. :)
  13. Yes, it's been reported. Police said it makes a change, 'cos it's normally them (Police) that are shot at!
  14. Driving around Essex this week and was shot at :tsktsk: Dunno where it came from, a window of a house or passing car maybe? Who ever it was aimed directly at the drivers door, but luckily it missed the side drivers window and hit the door instead, but put a dent in it. Looks like it was a BB or a real bullet on its last legs.
  15. Yeah... sorry mate :) Apologises for being harsh B) I can almost sense the bottom lip trembling :shutit:
  16. You say it's a working vehicle, in what way, a dustcart? :duh: You've put on 20k miles in two years, this is under the normal average for most people. My car is also a 'Working Vehicle' and is subjected to 25k miles per annum, although it's over 3 years old now it's condition is immaculate. :D and I don't pamper it
  17. I've always thought that the rear speakers were crap When you adjust the fade and balance controls so that the rears are the only ones working, THEY SOUND NAFF ! .........Or is that how there supposed to sound??? :duh: :duh:
  18. Looks fairly standard to me. Only difference to our UK cars is that the battery and brake fluid are on different sides to your photo.
  19. Don't forget the IS300 has it as well
  20. Yes, it's politically correct name is 'Pain distraction technique'.
  21. What about for an IS300 ? Mines not been done yet, and it's had a 60k service (3 and a half years old now).
  22. Had my 60k service this week, cost me £700 not bad I suppose being as it's a IS300
  23. Looks nice mate :) ENJOY !! :D :D
  24. When you pull-up at the pump, you press the button that says 'pay at pump' as soon as you press that you then insert your shell point card, that card is only in for a second or two until it tells you to remove it and then insert a credit card, once thats in you then enter your pin code, once thats done you remove your credit card and fill up. When you've filled-up it should automatically issue you with a receipt (That's when the staff can be bothered to renew the roll of paper that is!)
