Hello LOC members Could anybody tell me the difference between the IS200 SE Auto & Sport suspension please? Would I be correct in thinking the Sport uses SE shocks & lowered springs? Also what is the difference in ride hight & comfort? Thanks. Stuart

I would hazard a guess & say you've blown a fuse, or at least that would be my first place to look, dont know what fuse or even where they are but somebody technical will probably be able to answer that for you

I got my IS200 last September & havent looked back, although I did look at a 3 series... the thing that put me off was thier reluctancy to take me for a test drive (wanted me to book an appointment) & the list of extras is like an Oxford dictionary, I think even a CD player is an optional extra, so by the time i'd added the same spec as my '200, I was looking at a near £30k car Stuart

Do's anybody know if or how these can be turned off??? Only ask because mine come on when I have the lights on & use the windscreen wash & its normally just after I've spent half a Sunday cleaning the car, leaving streaks all across the bonet. Cars a 53' SE Auto. Cheers Guys. Stuart!

As far as I am aware, there isnt RCA outputs on the amp, so I doubt you will find an alternative replacement, you might find one on e-bay possibly on here but that would be pot luck. I would say your best bet would be to spend your hard-earned on a new stereo & adapter face plate, this way you could add to & customize your sound system to how you like. No, its just I know a man who is very good & expierienced in this kind of work so will probably ask him for a first quote on fitting any bodykits. My main worry was that how Lexus would react, if I were to have any issues with the car, ie steering problems, etc, would they be likely to blame the lowering springs & refuse to do the work under warranty? Only ask because im thinking of lowering my car (with TTE springs) which is still under warenty & realy dont want to get 6 months down the line, something go's wrong & they blame the new springs & refuse to pay out. Ok... But would I be right in saying you can order/buy TTE parts from your local Toyota dealer? Also, how would it afect the resale value having parts fitted by a local bodyshop rather than Lexus/Toyota? Stuart

Hello felow owners, Can anybody advise me on where I stand with regards to the Lexus warenty & modifying my car. I have a 53' IS200 SE Auto which I want to lower & fit a subttle bodykit, the stuff I have been eyeing up is all TTE (which I believe is sourced through Toyota???), how would this affect the warenty? Would it only be covered if Lexus were to fit it (& charge a ridiculous amount), or would it be ok to have a local bodyshop carry out the work? As usual, any help would be greatly appreciated. FMRL I believe the tray is a completely new unit, there is something on the knowlagebase (stereo removal I think) which basicly tells you how to do it. You should be ok doing it... I'm confident!!!ish Stuart

I had one of those damned posts jump out of me a few years ago, I then had Mrs Marple (aka of the blue rinse brigade) run upto my car, knock on the window & tell me "I was just about to tell you... you were getting very close to that post". I politely smilled & said well, its done now, thanks! Everything was ok though... I was in a company Vectra... Turned out to be the best mod I could've made!!! Anyways, no moral to this story, just go for pedestrians next time, they make a mess but at the end of the day it wipes off! Good luck getting it sorted. Stuart B)

So what about the discount??? Is it down to the individual dealership or Lexus GB as a whole? basicly, I want to know if they will do discounts on servicing, insurance & I am also considering getting the sport kit fitted by them to be covered under warrenty ;) Thanks for your help Stuart

Hello Can anybody tell me if Lexus Canterbury (Kent) does or will do discounts for Gold members as I asked the salesman who sold me the car before my 10k service & his reply was "we dont do discounts as the owners club isnt recognised by Lexus" ;) Now excuse my ignorance, but isnt the name kind of affiliated??? Also, can you get insurance discounts? with what companys & by how much? Please advise, as this could be the deciding factor for me Going for GOLD
