  1. Hello Guys & Girls FYI, Pimp My Ride UK starts this Sunday on MTV at 10pm. Will Anyone be watching it? I think it should make for interesting viewing with Tim (Big Dawg) Westwood hosting the programme :duh: "Turning rusty mingers into metal blingers" is the catch phrase..... Will be interesting to see if they do acctualy go for old classic rusty mingers or things like my old boy racer-mobil's. Cheers. Stuart
  2. Hi Mate The SE has 8 speakers & an amp, although the 8 speakers consist of subs & mid/high's within the rear 6x9's & the highs & mids in the front doors, so in therory you have 6 speakers..... Make sense :duh: The amp is located behind the glove box, if you take the glove box out, you will see a silver/grey box with heat fins down the side... That be your amp. The S model has a 6 speaker system with no amp. Cheers. Stuart
  3. I love it, I am real lazy when it comes to washing my car but even I can spare less than an hour a week to wash with this... & the magic water realy impresses the wife :winky: Stuart
  4. I use pretty much any cdr, dont try & use rw, dont think any of these work & I only write at x16 speed, anything above this can sometimes cause it not to work. Stuart
  5. Well done mate, will keep an eye out for you as I am only in Whitstable. Dont know how to put pics up, but I think you have to upload them to any site then post a link to them, I think it's only gold members who can attach pics. Otherwise try a search, think there was something about how to do it recently. Stuart
  6. Hello Mate Just bear in mind that the rear 6x9's are in thery 2 set's of speakers, mid/high's & a sub, this gives you the 8 speakers, the sub is also rated at 2 ohm's so will draw more power from the new head unit so I think it may sound a bit bad. Your best bet would be to use a passive crossover for the front components & replace the rears with a new set of 6x9's, could work out quite expensive for just replacing the head unit. Have you not thought of looking on flee bay for a second hand IS stereo? Let us know how you get on anyhow & good luck! Stuart
  7. I think you should be fine with the rear speaker terminals for you sub, not too familiar with line convertors, but should imagine impedance wouldnt matter as it is being converted. Correct me if I am wrong anybody??? Stuart
  8. Very nice looking car you got there Mr Face. That TTE front just makes the car look sooooo sweet! Stuart
  9. Think mine was around the £320-330 mark when I had it done last september'ish & that was at Canterbury. They don't do discout for gold though. Stuart
  10. A lot also depends on whether you are doing this to make money, ie, an investment, or a family home. If its the latter, providing you have the time & money then you can do what you like with it, pretty much like a blank canvas. However, if it is for an investment then you really need to put a lot of thought into it. Good luck with what ever you decide to do. Stuart
  11. What sort of camera have they put in place on the M2? Cheers. Stuart
  12. Hello Mate Hows it going with the install? Stuart
  13. Hello Mate What about somewhere on the boot lid or a false floor above the spare wheel? Boot lid mounted amps look good but tend not to be too practical if you use the boot a lot due to the extra wieght, but this can be over come. Good luck anyway, let us know where you go eventualy. Stuart
  14. I had this done when I had new tires fitted about 2-3 months ago, at £1.75 a corner I thought, why not? Cant say I have noticed any difference. Not too bothered about breathing pure Nitrogen as I dont have a habit of tire sniffing! Stuart
  15. Just out of interest... Would you be playing music at a rather loud volume? A lot of amps have a thermal cut out to stop them overheating, which would kick in, then as you described, after waiting 5-10 minutes would then work fine again??? Just a thought. Cheers. Stuart
  16. Hello Mate Thats someting I was considering, I work in IT & it is soo boring sometimes... I basicly taught myself to plumb, bought the run down house & read books & then thought afterwards, I wouldnt mind doing this as a job. Trouble is though with a wife & kids to support & just couldnt afford to take the risk. Good for you though, go for it. Just remember that there will always be someone wanting you to remove their floaters when the toilet gets blocked!!! :winky: Stuart
  17. Yeah, I got one over the weekend, washed & rinsed with magic water, went in for a cuppa wondering whether I should be doing this, came out 30 minutes later & WOW! I tell you... It really is magic water!!! :winky: Stuart
  18. Very nice looking car you got there Imi, great choice of colour too :D Stuart
  19. Hello I found the IS fine in the snow, I too have an auto & found if you use the snow button & realy lightly press the accelerator with TC on eventualy you will get going. I have been out all week & I live in Kent where the snow has been real bad, havent got stuck once, you just got to go real slow & be patient. By the way, saw a brand new 5 series get completely stuck in Detling on Wednesday, had to be pulled out by a plough... Made me smile :D Stuart
  20. Hello All I am considering installing some headrest screens & a DVD player for the kids, just something simple for the time being. Could anyone tell me how easy/hard the screens are to fit into the IS200 headrests? Also any info on how to do it would be appreciated. I have an SE Auto. Thanks. Stuart
  21. Hello Mate I keep a small aquarium of 6 fancy goldfish, got them mainly cos their stones went well with the kitchen decor (dont ask me, was the misses idea), the tank came as a kit, with pump, stones & obligitry sunken pirate ship, with the 6 fish & a bit of plant I think it came in at less than £40-50. And to be honest with you, it's realy relaxing to watch. Feed them 3 times a day, only need cleaning out about once a month & in the summer they even breed... Although they eat the eggs before any hatch. Cheers. Stuart
  22. Hello Dazza_W If your thinking of selling it, let me know... I might be interested :winky: Cheers. Stuart
  23. Sorry, not paying attention this afternoon Time to go home I think!!!
