  1. Are all speakers in the IS 4 Ohm impedance? Congrats on your install by the way. Cheers. Stuart
  2. I was advised on my 10k service my front pads would need changing before the 20k service, I got a second opinion from an idependant mechanic who said they were barely scratched. When the car went in for the 20k service, I was told the front pads would need changing before the 30k service I think someone may be trying to get salesman of the month! Cheers. Stuart
  3. Pay the fine ASAP, then contest it. Get all the back-up you can to say that you were within your rights but beware, somewhere like Chavhaven you are more than likely on CCTV & you can bet your life the clock runs slightly fast. Just put it down to experience. Good luck & all the best. Stuart.
  4. No CCTV or anything????? Got to be worth a try... Nail one of these most anoying muppets before they do it again!!!!! Stuart
  5. Hello mate, good luck finding one..... Must say, great choice of colour, just be prepared to be out every weekend washing it only for birds to cr@p on it before it dry's. Stuart
  6. Ouch... Try parking outside of carparks! Sorry, couldnt resist, really feel for you. Good luck getting it sorted though. Stuart
  7. Blimey Woodsy, thats allmost on my doorstep, they good then are they? Im thinking about getting some subtle kit for my car so may have to pop round & have a look at their work. Stuart
  8. Does anyone know if the same can be done to the sport grill & the lower mesh beneath the number plate??? I feel a bit of bling comming on :winky: Stuart
  9. I got to get the brakes done, just need front pads, getting them after xmas, then I want to go lower, some subtle body mods, & see where I end up, just after enhancing an already great looking car really. What are you after achieving? Stuart
  10. Certainly do mate! Don't go out in it if you can help it..... Don't think its the car, although it don't take much to end up the wrong way. You just got to be extremely carefull, we've got tires that are made for road use, so like I say, if you can, avoid going out in the snow & if you do have to, don't accelerate until you're out of a bend, ect. All common sense really. Good luck Stuart
  11. Woodsy, if you're looking for someone local to Herne Bay to help out with doing the lights, I'm in Whitstable & would be willing to help you out. Was thinking about doing this mod myself, just got some elids instead, much easier. I must add I have no experiance in doing this!!! PM me if you want any help. :winky: Cheers. Stuart
  12. I found the best thing to do in snow was to turn off TC altogether, as you cant get any traction on the snow. Also if you car starts to drift & TC cuts in, you up the proverbial creek without a paddle Stuart
  13. Hello Not to sure on these specific tires but normally they say on the side of the tire. If not check Bridgestones web site. Cheers. Stuart
  14. Hello Mate I need new brake pads soon & will be getting some Mintex pads from a guy on here known as Mr Prolex-UK, he may be able to recomend afitter near you as well. His website is http://www.prolex-uk.com Cheers. Stuart
  15. I feel for you mate... Some A :tsktsk: e wipe has caught my rear arch, similar thing where by its only a "Tiny dent with a little scratch" as the misses puts it, but I now have to pay out my hard earned to cover someone else's incompetance! Moan over... Stuart
  16. Currently running at home: Sun Ultra 10 1024mb Memory 40gb HDD 44Mhz USII cpu Running Solaris 10 used as file server IBM Crap-top thingy Rectangular shaped, black, with buttons Running Linux MS Windows box-a-tricks for the kiddies At Work: Anything upto E10k - E15k Stuart
  17. I spun my IS earlier this year when we had the snow... Going down the M2 at 4am going home from work, nothing about, then a lorry started sliding towards me, swerverd to get round it & back end started to drift out, corrected it, got past said lorry, turned to get back on the clear bit of road & the back end went again, a lot faster this time, went round & round about 3 or 4 times. Moved car to hard shoulder (roughly), managed not to hit anything at all so emptied undies & carried on with my journey... Extremely carefuly! TC is a waste of time in the snow, it only works if theres somewhere to get traction. Stuart
  18. Done I do believe... Excelent campaign Scarface Stuart
  19. My boot diddnt close properly when I first got it, it turned out it was missaligned. Why would you want to do a burn out??? Tires arnt that cheap & its quite an extra load on the transmission for no apparent reason??? Stuart
  20. Mind you don't get planes trying to land on your car... Looks a bit like a runway :P Each to their own & all. Stuart
  21. Hello Dave Did you get my payment for the toms stle eyelids? Cheers. Stuart.
  22. Hello all Im Stuart, 28, from sunny Whitstable in Kent. Work for Sun Microsystems (IT), happily married with two kids 11 & 3. Had my car from new, a IS200 SE Auto, always wondered if I made the right choice (manual or auto), then got stuck in traffic & realized auto is definately for me! Car has rear park sensors, sprots grill, Siemans car kit (thanks Steve) & soon to be dressed in Toms style eyelids. Should get round to going gold some day!!!
  23. Would deffinately like to come... wont know if im working till Thursday before though Is it ok to turn up unanounced??? Stuart
  24. As far as im aware of it wont work full stop. You would need to bypass the amp, re-wireing the speakers, using either the head units internal amp or some other external amp, something to with the factory amp controlls the stock head Unit??? Also, the 2 rear speakers account for 4 speakers due to the way they are conected so you may need to replace these too. Remove the glove box, few pins at the bottom of it, if you have a silver thing bolted to the side of the car, this is the amp, if you have one, you will have a much bigger job on your hands than you probably planned. Good luck & let us know how you get on!!! Stuart
  25. Hello Put you hand under the tray where the switches are, push upwards & firmly pull towards the rear of the car... Voila! Your switches can be unplugged & the unit taken out. The switches themselves the just pop out the front. Make sure to note the locations for re-installing!!! Cheers. Stuart
