  1. I do about a panel a month on ours.
  2. Spot the difference Thanks to J Henderson for the tip.
  3. Am I going to have to explain what a cassette is to you guys? Like when I had to explain to my 9 and 6 year old what phone boxes were?
  4. Great stuff. Might have a go at that. Is the panel fairly easy to remove? There's me assuming they're all autos!
  5. I was away last week when I read this and I got a bit confused. Still am. This is the button layout in mine... PWR and SNOW buttons to the left of the gear lever and buttons for the heated seats and TRC OFF in front. Are they in different positions on yours? I understand what J Henderson is saying about symmetry but the TRC and SNOW buttons are quite separate??
  6. First little niggle. I do like cassettes and thought I'd try the cassette player in my factory 13906 headunit but after playing for maybe 10 seconds it ejects. I can push it back in, the mechanism takes the cassette, clicks and whirs for a bit, plays 10 seconds again and then ejects again. Any thoughts? I've a feeling that it's a very long time since the cassette player was used, if ever. Think one of those old skool cleaning cassettes would do anything? If it would stay loaded? And I'm fully aware the majority of you will wonder why I'm bothering but as I said, I just like cassettes. I also need the player to be working when I get delivery of this. I also have a bit of a soft spot for MD too but that's another story and another eBay purchase
  7. Today? Fitted a K&N. Jury's still out on whether it's made any difference but the car does seem a little more responsive, maybe revving a little easier.
  8. I'm keeping a close eye on mine. The car's been garaged all its life so far but I know they're a weak point on any "older" car. Oh and congrats on the MOT
  9. Sorry to go off at a slight tangent but this Techstream is I assume the Toyota/Lexus version the likes of Volvo Vida Dice/VAG-COM etc? New to all this Lexus malarky...
  10. ...driving gods, every one of them. I'm surprised you didn't know
  11. Finally got the wheels balanced. This car is so smooth and quiet it's ridiculous. And I treated myself to another Dunlop SP Sport Maxx TT to match the other three. Hate mismatched tyres.
  12. My favourite corner of Meadowhall car park
  13. I can confirm what Graham says. I bought my non-hybrid Lexus last week too (Lexus Sheffield) and it came with a full 1 year warranty. I should also point out that it's 15 years old so there's nothing stopping a dealer offering a warranty at any point. Obviously there's some confusion somewhere and I suggest you speak to someone else at the dealership.
  14. Thank you. Hoping to finally get the balancing sorted today so I can enjoy it properly.
  15. Certainly not. And usually at this point of new car ownership I toy with the idea of a K&N, remind myself that it will make absolutely no difference whatsoever and then buy one anyway. A few days after I'll mention the car is a little more responsive, revs a little easier or some other guff. Just ignore me if I do.
  16. Thanks for that. It appears GROM is still the way to go. However, as far as just adding music goes I'm pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of the FM doodaa. The Lexus sound system obviously brings out the best in it.
  17. OK, panic over. I've utilised my trusty FM transmitter and it will certainly do for now.
  18. First mod. Yay! Yellow... Not yellow... Now just to get some of those washer nozzles that light up and a boot sub that will surely kill me in an accident and I'm sorted
  19. Thanks for the advice. Very much appreciated. To be honest it's the rears or one of the rears. I can feel the wobble through the seat. The fronts seem OK. Still not sorted just yet though as I've decided to get another tyre because I had one odd Dunlop and yes, that drives me nuts. So in the next day or two all the wheels will be getting swapped around and I'll be starting from scratch again with the balancing.
