  1. Find a bodyshop near you that's one, got a good reputation, two, got one of those cameras that takes loads of photos of the cars colour (over time colour changes slightly and getting colour matches is impossible) and sends the pics to a computer which then finds a colour match paint mix and a paint mix that matches the car perfectly can be made, three, got a drive in paint booth and oven to cure the paint. I got my paint correction done at a very good rate as a returning customer.
  2. Go on YouTube and search saab unleashed. Yes it's Saab but he's the best guy I've seen explaining android units and he tests them out too which is the best review that can be given.
  3. Did you pay his/her asking price or knock some off? Looks like you know what needs to be done. There's been quite a lot on here re the rear brake calipers and there's loads on YouTube. I took my car to a trusted body shop I've used. My car had absolutely thousands of scratches. They spent a whole day to get rid of 95%, any more in those 5% places would go to the primer coat but the car looked superb after their work. Look up 'not bad for 13 year old paint ' thread. Keep us abreast with your progress. Maybe do some before and after pics.
  4. Don't bother with the Grom thingy. There are android units it's which wipe the floor with it nowadays and purposely for the is250. Teyes unit for one. I'll be getting it in the next couple months.
  5. Eh up Graeme. Great news you've finally got an is250. Did you get the one in Poulton? What needs doing to it then?
  6. Re shock absorbers. I got genuine ones vited by my local Halfords about £50 cheaper than from Lexus plus a free MOT thrown in and the ride is as Lexus intended. Pay much more attention to tyres as they play a very big affect in ride and handling.
  7. Let us know how they fit and how hard or easy to do. Oh and where you got those bushes from.
  8. Hi Graeme. Shame about the Bolton car. Re back bumper. If it looks like where the front of it meets the wing then more than likely the mount lug is broken but easy fix. Someone on here has recently posted about front bumper not fitting right. Rear calipers from euro car parts are between 65 and 105 each. Not original but Pagid brand and I use their discs and pads no issues at all. Condensation is a normal bugger on our cars.
  9. If that cars at the BOC car centre in Bolton then it more than likely is a guddun. I've bought from there and the car was mint, MG ZT (yes I miss that car but hey ho) and friends have bought from there too. They've been in business over 40 years that I know of. Car looks really nice and a SE-L.
  10. Beautiful engineering on your car their Steve. Shame the video of the car driving was in the wet, one would ders if the tyres let go like that in the dry lol. Weird how it doesn't sound like a six potter must be a bad sound recording. More pics would be nice.
  11. Hi Donk and welcome to Lexus ownership and the best Lexus forum there is. Yes you're right. Lots of knowledgeable owners on here. What jobs are you going to do on your new steed? What made you go for the LS460 apart from it being a beast of a car?
  12. That's a niiiiice sounding zorst Sam. Me thinks you should post a few pics of your car whilst on the ground.
  13. Yeah probably Sam. But I see your 2 silencers are connected dead straight to each others whilst Lucas's car silencers are connected way towards the front of the car. Makes me wonder if that's beneficial or detrimental to gas flow how yours are.
  14. How much ground clearance is there between the exhaust and the ground samplify? There seems to be very little from your photo.
  15. I'm sure Lucas you'll talk her into it 😉 Great photos by the way 👍
  16. I've just remembered it was the last programme where they did the V12 XJS. Find that programme and it'll tell you the place that did the plastic stuff.
  17. Have you not thought of getting your mirror covers 'chrome ' plated? Car SOS found a place that plates plastic with a mirror finish and lacquers after. Looks amazing. That ebay item has a very misleading way of saying the cover is for nearside only. Look up something like finishers and find somewhere that finishes plastic.
  18. I read his advert for that car and it stated MOT'd till Feb 23. So how was the car? Is he still on a plot of land very close to an old mill which I believe is going through a major refit into flats shops etc and a dodgy looking small garage at the bottom of the whole plot?
  19. So you got yours from there Marky and you at your own cost had to sort out a few minor problems. That's ok But the car I got was in its 5th month of extended MOT due to covid etc. I was blind to that, my stupidly. Booked mine in with Lexus Stockport for a service and MOT but they phoned me and said they'd Not MOT it as they'd have to fail it for a weeping/leaking shock absorber. I phoned the seller numerous times before I got through and his response was that he wasn't interested and wouldn't cover the costs or even partially cover them. So my car cost me a further near £600. What else has it cost me? £200 to get rid of as many of the thousands of scratches on it. Other than that fuel and the cost of a service plan. Overall my car is brilliant after I sorted it.
  20. Thanks Steve. Pure coincidental timing eh? That must have been a rarity.
  21. If you're going to Super One Traders be very very careful. I got my car from him during the time there was a 6 month extension on MOT'S. The car you are going to see is Silver 58 plate yes? It's MOT runs out on the 22nd of THIS month. My car was in a similar MOT position but I fell into the trap of glazed eyes. DONT buy that car without it having a FULL 12 month MOT. Oh I had to buy and get fitted 2 new rear shock absorbers and he wasn't interested one bit. You have been warned and in time hopefully.
  22. I had one for 24 hours when my is250 was in fir service. Yes I drove it like I stole it as you do lol. When I gave the car back they asked me if I'd like to know what my mog was like. Oh feck I thought. Over 38 miles ish I was on 47/48% on battery and averaged 50mpg. So basically if I drove 'normally ' and sensibly I'd have reckoned I'd have achieved near 60 mpg and more than 50% on EV .
  23. Weird happenings. I seem to have started this thread yet their are two posts apparently posted before I started this thread. Would the forum organisers care to comment. Is the same happening here as is happening on the Lexus website for service history?
  24. Cazoo, Carwow, Cinch. And another car selling company comes along But specialising in one brand of car. Oh dear. How laughable at Toyota and how to lose respect in a company.
