  1. Intelligent Speed Assist/ Speed Limiter. Funny. I've seen just this evening a YouTube video about this subject but that guy doing the video is bang on. Yes cars from what 2025? all to have Speed limiters fitted as standard. But cars before that date won't have them retro fitted. But without them being connected to the Internet how can the driver of that car fitted with a Speed limiter, which Can be over written, be fined instantly for speeding? As for knowing where we are and how fast we're going. FFS Google has known for effin years. Now for a rant Phil. Threads that go from chalk to cheese really pisses me off especially when know it alls put more than their 2 penneth worth in. Jeez their are a couple on this forum I'd gladly knock out no matter how big they are if ever I met them in person. Rant over. 🍻🥃
  2. Draught Pedigree. Blimey last time I had one of those was at least 35 years ago lol. Not seen it on draught for ages. For me it Old Peculiar first choice. Failing that Abbott Ale. Failing that off back home for a few Southern Comforts 🥃👍 Don't know about having a rant being a pleasure but I can kind of see that. Ruddy good thread you've started by the way 👍. Amazing how cheese turns to chalk lol.
  3. That's strange James. Those channels where the clips go aren't that close to where the edge of these screen is. Can't you just scrape the gunge out where the clip goes? I'm assuming that the screen doesn't leak.
  4. That's interesting. So you've checked what can be checked and all seemed good but still after a test drive one hub is too hot to touch. Basically change the wheel bearing as a pair though. Very strange what you're experiencing. I'd have thought quite a few would have got onto this thread.
  5. Wasn't a Saturday rant Phil. Just my honest opinion and a Fact about hospital cleanliness. 🍻
  6. Blimey oh Riley how the initial post goes for one almighty dump!@#. So some robbin barstuards Southern councils are charging (no pun intended) FOUR quid per KWh???? Sad gits who use them I say. There's another charger not too far away at a reasonable rate. Hydrogen power. Great idea and in parts of America its infrastructure makes it work very well. Ok off the Initial post. NHS is fundamentally brilliant BUT the money that goes into it doesn't go where its actually needed. Hospitals are generally filthy places. Yes Filthy. My better half is a hospital housekeeper (cleaner) and is one of a far too low percentage of cleaners who actually clean the effin place whist the vast majority of those who are supposed to clean skive off and hide. Fact. Taxing cyclists. Utter B O L L O X. Back to EV's charging. EV makes 100% sence to me. But I love the sound of my V6 too much. 😊
  7. Or use a softer compound tyre on your 19's. The downside is they wear quicker.
  8. to see if theres any You might aswell dive back in giving yourself more time to inspect the handbrake shoes and test the wheel bearing by rotating the wheel and also holding the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock and wiggle to see if there's any movement
  9. In the is250 on your kind of journey you should be in the mid to high 20's mpg. My journey is only 3.5 miles and I'm on low 20's which I'm happy with.
  10. Yes m8 we love our is250 cars. You'll love yours when you get one. Look on here for a thread what to look out for. Also that the car has the original key fob.
  11. Hi Darren. How you getting on with the washer jets removal? My drivers side jet is weak but not a MOT failure but not as good as the passenger side. Thinking of just replacing the pair and the valve connector.
  12. I'm sorry to say this but those who use a set of tyres in winter and another in summer have been to 'I've seen you coming' or brainwashed or bamboozled by utter b*l*o*k* information. But yes where snow is more prevalent then a winter set makes sense. But I sence most who use 2 sets are the 'Jones's' and have more mo ey than sence. Now don't get on your high horses folks. I've probably driven far more miles than you ( I'm knocking on the door of 2 million) and I've never felt the need for 'winter' tyres. Well said above Linas
  13. Lexus Stockport did a drain refill and charged £180. Just over 2 litres of oil was replaced. I did have to tell them it was possible to do as I've seen numerous videos on YouTube. They did it whilst they had my car for its service. That was the August before last so about 18 months ago.
  14. Wait while Linas posts his views. Had a nice barny with him about tyres lol. Don't go Bridgestone if you have a heavy foot lol. Goodyear is the one to go for. Oh budget tyres are more than OK. Most lexus drivers are sedate drivers. I'm definitely not. My front tyres are budget and are great and better than my rears. You've opened a can of worms asking for tyre recommendations as there are far too many 'experts ' . What tyres have you had previously?
  15. Way hey I got just that same effect. Much cheaper than your springs too. 13x30kg bags of garden rubbish in the boot lol
  16. Linas. There are Halfords there are utter cowboys and there are those like my local one run by car enthusiasts. Their own personal cars are all old super mini cars and modified tastefully. Just coz the Halfords you've been to have ripped you off DONT slag them ALL down coz you're bang out of order. As for Kwikfit. There's only one I trust and that's in Leeds near the Lexus dealer. Oh and as for my local halfords doing my rear shockers. I trust them more than Lexus. It's local, walking distance, I know the guys, they like my car and treat it as their own, they've done freebies for me. Yes I'm lucky to have a trusted garage near me. Pity it's not the same for everyone which it really needs to be.
  17. £56 is a good price. I got 2nd hand for £20 and clips from ebay £6/7.
  18. Hi Rishi. My car was in the same predicament as yours. Lexus wouldn't MOT it as they'd fail it and they didn't want that. They quoted me £600. Ouch I thought. My local halfords did it for I think £560 after a little haggle plus they threw in a free MOT. ALWAYS change shock absorbers as a pair just like brake discs/pads.
  19. Absolutely fabulous build and a ruddy good looking car to Steve. 👍
  20. Ok. Hope that the place you got the 220 from can and will fix it as there's not much out there for £1500 that's half decent.
  21. Why did you go for the diesel? Asking out of interest. Are you particularly after a Lexus?
