  1. You won't regret a 250 though, fantastic cars and a really great drive. Took ours through Europe in October and the drive was great, really comfortable and amazing on fuel (considering the V6).. It really comes into it's own on a long motorway cruise, plenty of power when you need it and very quiet.
  2. All fixed, a friend of a friend owns a workshop in the local town, had a look and said it was a simple weld job, sleeved and reinforced, also checked the other silencer and the centre section which was fine. £30!! Pretty happy with that outcome. Meanwhile Powerflow got back to me and said " Good morning A complete back box system (2 silencer) for the Lexus IS250 will be from £249 including VAT and fitting, will be fabricated in 304 Stainless Steel which will come with a lifetime warranty and will include your choice of tailpipe. Pretty decent price that, I expected more.
  3. Don't be put off travelling for the right car, I had a 10 hour round trip looking at a car in Warrington... A motor is a big purchase and I'm always ready to travel if the perfect car comes on the market.
  4. I have an Iphone and ended up having to enter them all manually until I decided to do away with the crap factory system and the VLine V2 which has brought everything up to date.
  5. Need some help, my backbox fell of my car, as a result it also took a section of the bumper off on that side. 4/5 clips survived although the one in the far corner is damaged meaning I can't clip it back. Are these clips replaceable? Could someone link me to the parts I need to get it back into place? Many thanks
  6. I agree with your points, and is the reason I'm not giving him my money. I can't find any of his happy customers on this site either and if it was that good, people would be talking about it.
  7. To add to this mystery... My backbox fell off so I've booked into an exhaust workshop and I'm having a custom SS fitted. At the time of booking he offered me a deal on a remap, he reckoned he could do a stage 1 increase to 228 HP 272NM. He told me he's only been able to offer this on the IS250 as recently as 3 weeks ago and has had nearly 10 in as a result with great results. Have any of those 10 been from this forum? I didn't go for it, would like to see some before and after charts personally.
  8. Exactly what happened to me, even the bumper hanging off a bit. Were powerflow happy to fit the part you supplied? £220 is an excellent price, did that include fitting?? ** Edit **. Ah, I see they custom make the section. I'll contact them tomorrow for a quote, only a few minutes down the motorway from me, thanks for the info.
  9. After some exhaust advise. Was heading out this morning and noticed the car sounded different, it was using more revs than normal although I thought it could just be cold. Travelled 300 meters and stopped at the lights when the car felt really rough followed by a clang. Got out to inspect and found this in the road behind the car Managed to drive the car home without any issues although already wondering how much this is going to cost. I'm guessing this isn't repairable, am I going to need to replace the entire back box section? I've found this online which seems reasonable:- https://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/Products.aspx?ID=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&gclid=Cj0KCQiA6ozhBRC8ARIsAIh_VC0coaaqmkA0g7a9tiGsv9HY6Uu3yCt5OwvDE9nOp_i915PlWW4ZmEYaAtavEALw_wcB If anyone has been in this position who could give me an idea of likely costs, I'd really appreciate it Thanks
  10. Got back yesterday, I managed 460 miles on the first tank, averaging 36/7 miles to the gallon, I could have managed 40MPG although I did enjoy myself 😄 On the way back, the 2nd fill averaged 36MPG, got a quarter tank left with 420 miles recorded so will prob do about the same. More than happy with that 🙂
  11. Well, I have hundreds upon hundreds of miles over the next few days, 80% motorway so will be a good experiment.
  12. I've given the car it's first full tank as i have a European road trip starting in the morning. I filled the tank with £77 of petrol although the computer is telling me I have a range of 314 miles! I was kinda expecting more than that, the Lexus has a bigger fuel tank than my previous (big heavy CRV) and I could get more mileage for less. Not sure if I should be worried here?
  13. That tuning firm are 10 minutes from me.... Not tempted in the slightest, as has already been said you probably wouldn't notice the difference.
  14. Why take it to Lexus and pay them to tell you the same thing, it's the battery, its knackered. God knows what Lexus will charge to tell you that.
  15. I live in Kent, wondered if anyone has any experience of DECENT Lexus independents around this area. Google throws some results although I'd like to hear of personal experiences. Thanks
  16. I've had Alexa for a while now thanks to the VLINE V2, My older Lexus has better options than the newest of cars as a result. I'd say it's the best upgrade you'll make tbh
  17. There is a reason for lack of documents passed on... GDPR, car dealers can't pass on old receipts that contain information regarding the previous owner. Same as the new owner documents from the DVLA., you'll now find that the previous owner information is no longer listed. It's crap although they are seriously worried about getting sued.
  18. Just in case anyone else is looking, this slot mount is perfect, holds my phone nice and secure. Perfectly placed as there's not many positions for a phone in the 250. I considered a vent mount although this would block the top right corner of the screen when used in landscape.
  19. They do still sell the product, wonder if they'd entertain a group buy?
  20. Wonder if anyone using such a mount and could recommend one which fits snuggly. Quiet a selection on Amazon although for some reason, not all are compatible with Lexus. Thanks
  21. They do look smart, are they plug and play connecting straight to original light fittings? I've heard about this hyper flashing, how comes it affects some cars but not others? Is there any guide floating around regarding relays (if needed)?
  22. Thinking of replacing the plate bulbs with some LED's, is it a boot lining off job or can the bulbs be changed from outside the car?
  23. Thanks for the info, the issues you mention were indeed addressed in the V2 so I'm hopeful it'll work just fine. It turned up last night so I'll install it today, I like the form factor of this kind of camera, not so obvious. How did you find the constant recording, did you run into any battery issues?
  24. How are you finding the dashcam? Do you have the A119S V2? I asked a question on Amazon last night and got a load of replies telling me not to bother as it's unreliable. How's it gone for you?
