  1. The product bulletin is interesting reading, thanks for sharing. I was shown something similar for the ES at its launch around October 2018 just as I was deciding on that car.
  2. So I definitely don't have a white light when in standby, maybe I will follow up with BG. When I select "troubleshooting" in the app it just seems to ignore the button press. Also interesting to know it's connected via cellular, I was wondering ... but only 2G that's going to be Edge speed at best isn't it? That also explains why the installer didn't want me to connect it to WiFi ...
  3. Mine seems to be working OK, I have had the occasional reporting offline and I don't have a white standby light. The only issue I have had is that after unplugging the car by the time I get to the wallbox to unplug the cable the light has gone green and the cable is locked in! Fortunately it seems to decide to release it again after a few seconds. Anyone had anything similar?
  4. Yes you are correct mine is Gen2 and simply saying “Hey Lexus play Classic FM” (although on DAB!!) seems to work well and stays on DAB to do so. No need to even press a button. I did find you need to match the exact station name e.g. “BBC Radio n” not just “Radio n”.
  5. Impressive. I charged mine when it arrived and it said 40 miles range, 36 with AC, but I drove it until EV mode expired and think it was about 48 miles. No motorway driving but did include some higher speeds and acceleration.
  6. Strange, I told it to "Play Classic FM" while tuned to another DAB station and it worked for me. Meanwhile I had chance to try the new maps out today, I was impressed I could just tell it to "Navigate to [railway station]" and it found it but still trying to work out if the routing is any good or if I'll just use Apple Maps + CarPlay.
  7. Yes been for a few runs, initial impressions very positive, effortless driving on electricity alone and no problem keeping up with traffic, ride a bit firmer than the boat (aka ES). The door latches, multimedia and controls for the driver assistance are still being learned (the latter are a little different from the ES).
  8. I reckon about 3 weeks, I am not 100% sure as being a fleet order I wasn't able to track in the app. On 20 April the lease company gave me a date of 3 May so I think around 20 April is when the vehicle reached these shores. But on 26 April they then revised this to 14 July! So that would be around the time the vehicle was being held at Derby. I think the car reached the dealer around 3 May but it was not until mid last week that the dealer was finally allowed to release the car to me.
  9. Well I am happy to announce mine has finally been delivered today (fleet order). Just giving it a charge before taking it for a first drive. It was apparently in scope of the brake actuator issue but the dealer had to run some checks and then it was found it didn't need any further action (it would have been a software update otherwise, apparently). I had to escalate to Lexus UK customer services to find out what was going on and it seemed that generated some action so hopefully if anyone's vehicles are being held at Derby for this reason things might get moving now.
  10. Is your Matt-E internal or external? Mine is in an external box, you don't need to take the glass cover off to operate the breaker, it protrudes through the glass cover. I was also told to test it regularly, when it trips it goes to a mid-position but "off" is completely down.
  11. I wasn’t told to leave it on for updates. Yes I pulled the breaker in the Matt-e box
  12. Hello Paul I have left my charger switched off at the breaker and British Gas have "noticed" and gave me a call to ask if I had a problem with it ... So if you hold on you might not need to call them. All being well I will have something to plug into it later this week but I am trying not to get my hopes up until it actually arrives ...
  13. I would have to double-check the particulars for this vehicle but the key is in the words “approved for manufacture” i.e. when did the vehicle model get Type Approval? Usually new regulations apply first to new models submitted for approval, and then to all new vehicles sold after a further period of time. So the NX gen 1 could well have been Type Approved before this regulation came in. How old is your car?
  14. Yes the thin wire is for a current sensor (you can see the blue object clipped around the supply tail which is the actual sensor) - apparently the Matt-E can trip if the charger if the current load is too high, not sure what this is judged against. British Gas stiffed me £80 for the Matt-E which I am still grumpy about, apparently the excuse is that it is installed in a waterproof box outside. Now I just need the car to actually see if it works ...
  15. Does anyone know anything about a brake actuator ECU recall / rework? Mine has reached the dealer finally but he doesn’t know if the vehicle is in scope of this or not, and the lease company are now predicting July due to this issue! So frustrating!!
  16. Yes it will brake, I have had this a couple of times reversing into parking spaces with a bush behind. But don’t rely on it and also I can’t recall if there is a setting for sensitivity, or to warn only vs brake intervention. Check the settings for PKSA (or whatever the acronym is).
  17. Apparently mine is in the UK, it is at the "depot" and "fit for transport" (I assume this might mean at Burnaston which frustratingly isn't far from me! and has passed some kind of inspection). Still not sure when I will get it as it seems there's usually some to and fro between the dealer and the lease company before they are allowed to deliver it. Naturally still nothing showing up in the App, being a fleet order. I've seen two in the "wild" this week, a white 350h heading north on the M1 towing a caravan, and another one (couldn't tell what model) in a village near Burnaston, plate starting GU71 so possibly a Toyota owned vehicle?
  18. Yes it’s a big car (especially in length as noted above). When I got mine it took a bit of getting used to (I came from a CT) but you’ll soon get used to it, it’s a great car. I will be genuinely sorry to see mine go and I’d have another in an instant.
  19. There should be an option under "Settings" (I can't remember precisely where) to "delete all personal information" (or similar) - it will unfortunately also remove your navigation history, delete phone pairings etc.
  20. As mine is a fleet order it appears the Lexus Link app isn't showing any information but the boat must surely be getting closer ... I did notice the behaviour of the app has changed, it is now inviting me to activate connected services on the vehicle but you have to do a "mileage challenge" to prove you have rightful access to the vehicle. Also next to "NX" on the vehicle page a crossed-out icon that looks like a double-sided WiFi icon has appeared (see screen shot below). Coincidence or a sign of progress?? Also does anyone know how to decode the VIN in particular is there any clue within to build date?
  21. On closer examination it appears the "screen" is a clear plastic cover and the actual display is behind that (and undamaged) so hopefully this will prove to be a separate part.
  22. Hi Steve mine is an early model and with the smaller screen, not sure if that would make a difference? Where are you seeing the parts diagram, I assume this is in the paid area of Tech Docs?
  23. Unfortunately mine has acquired a crack in the glass (don't ask but it was nothing to do with me!) does anyone know if this can be repaired or replaced without replacing the display unit itself? I am referring to the central display with the nav information etc. on it. All pointers gratefully received!
  24. I finally managed to get an update on my fleet order, the car has been built and is at sea, dealer expecting it end of April / early May. I've obtained the VIN but so far Lexus Link isn't giving me any more information on its progress (not even to show any form of timeline or progress).
