  10. i have been looking into conecting my ipod to my car for the last 6 months! i bought an itrip and connected it that way, but as it is going via radio frequency the quality is not as good as it can be! i have now purchased a product from dension, its a small dock that the ipod sits into and connects directly to your headunit via cable so is top quality. These are available for standard and aftermarket units!!!! not to sure about the IS, as i have a kenwood unit! ......or even better, if you are using a alpine head unit, they now sell leads that allow the ipod/mini to be connected via cable! this is the best one as it can skip song, and albums! meaning that the ipod can be mounted out of site ie. glovebox etc. i have just finished a custom pod ipod dension link, will post pictures hopefully tonight! Jason
  11. had considered doing this, looks like this might be my only option, will post some pictures tonight or mabye tomorrow, looks real good just need to cover it! i have some alcantara but this wont stretch to the form of the pod
  12. yes, tried one near me! no such luck!
  13. have just made a custom pillar pod to mount my ipod into! However, i need to cover it in some sort of material and am trying to match it to the original material or just the same colour would be nice. As it is bigger than the original, the material removed from the standard one will not cover the whole thing! Has anyone ever found material similar, have been round several fabric shops and can't find anything close......or can the material be bought from Lex! if someone has any idea's then let me know....im going crazy :duh: Thanks, Jason. :)
  14. was giving some new 6x9's for Christmas and now want to put them in the car! just wondering if anyone knows how to remove the plastic grill on top of the originals, have already stripped the boot for the rest of the sound system and i can see the bottom of the four bolts that hold them in! i have looked at the speaker grill and can't work out how it comes off, it looks as though it is one piece! :duh: if anyone could shed some light on the subject i would be most appreciative! :) hope everyone had a good christmas and had lots of pressies for the car! Jason :D :D :D
  15. i have some 16' inch wheels on mine at the mo, only the S! is it the standard ones you want? im looking at getting some 18's in the new year, so will be getting rid of the standard ones! J. :D
  16. :tsktsk: i Can't believe someone beat me to it! now im going to have to change the whole car to leopard print!

    Cruising

i have been to a couple, usually go to burning bounemouth! i missed one of them, and a guy with a yellow rs200 ended up going, saw some after pictures but it looks sweet. the cars are all parked around the track, with load of people walking about! last time there was an altezza parked around the arena, most people dont even look at the cars..............but every person that walked past checked out the Lex! and i mean every person!!!!!!! its a good mix of cars, lots of jap cars, skylines, supras, scoobys, and the odd Lex!
  19. hmm...........no funds, might have to leave it till after xmas
  20. thanks mark! will they just fit straight in? or do they need trimming slightly? Jason :P
  21. anyone know if you can purchase a pillar pod for two gauges for the IS or am i going to have to make something myself? and if so how much i should be paying for one? Don't really want a universal one, but would rather have one made to fit! Thanks for all your help in advance! Jason. :D
  22. i live about 10 minutes away from them, they are really helpfull. i personally have not delt with them, but my brother imported his Glanza through them and he highly recomends them, they helped him through all aspects of importing the car and sorting out the sva. i would have bought an rs200 through them but can only just afford the insurance on a standard IS as it is let alone a rs200! give them a call and speak to the guy down there! Jason you in southampton then? :)
