  1. Hi Charles, Sorry - I was meaning the vehicles infotainment system version. I think you have a UX. Is it touchscreen or trackpad? Thanks, Paul
  2. Interesting. Do you have MM21 or MM19? It's totally broken on my RX with MM19. Paul
  3. At least if they are being deleted at moderation, somebody at Lexus is seeing the amount of discontent.
  4. There are quite a few on there that are brutally honest, so things should make it through! Let's see!
  5. Sorry to hear of this. As Bob says I hope you can track it. It may help the general cause if everyone who has been a victim posts on this page: https://mag.lexus.co.uk/car-security-advice-and-tips/
  6. Thanks, Jordan, much appreciated. I know all this is well out of your control, but If you get chance to feed back to Lexus, please tell them that there are ways to manage transitions to new platforms which don't not involve shutting off functionality for months at a time! Paul
  7. Sure it can. And faults themselves are not the specific issue - it is the apparent lack of willingness to fix them that is. In my personal experience Lexus don't fix software bugs and they don't adequately fix security issues, certainly not in reasonable time scales. So perhaps I should give someone else a shot in future? As an example, Ford retrospectively made sleeping keys available to previous vehicles to improve security against relay thefts. But for a decade I have no direct experience of other brands... Although if I change brands, perhaps I would be sorely disappointed...!
  8. The issue from my perspective now is "once bitten, twice shy". If I change to a new model RX, and a security flaw surfaces in 5 years time, what confidence do I have that it will be adequately patched?
  9. Why do a migration before the new system is at feature parity and tested. Amateurish....
  10. This has been going on for several years now unfortunately. The MM19 software has many bugs that have been reported and not fixed (check on this forum) is and will not be. I read on here it is the same with MM21. Now the app.... And the backend. Will MM21 owners get wireless android auto or "send destination to car" first? And will it before their leases are up?
  11. Agreed, David. I wrote to customer relations and pointed that out. Send destination to car has also gone, as has the ability to change vehicle settings.
  12. Serguei, I think it's both. On MM21 cars is seems there are faults on every level, but for MM19 system new app has fewer features than the old, and there are silly things like mpg always reports as zero... Paul
  13. I think in the maps page. the current vehicle location is now shown. I don't think that was the case before? Paul
  14. This will take time to filter through. People who run a 4RX so far have been most targeted (and clearly this is now coming through on ES too). If you look at the 5RX sales figures (publicly available) they are a lot lower than 4RX was in its launch year (2016). This could be because people (me included) rushed and bought a late model 4RX for the V6, economic downturn, supply issues or reputation for theft. It's hard to unpick but I can tell you that in central London the number of RXs has fallen significantly over the last few years. I have not seen any 5RX on the road yet in the UK myself. Time will tell. Paul
  15. Same on my 21 RX. Its astonishing how unprofessional the cloud and phone software is, the lack of testing, and the lack of urgency to fix any of it. It seems quite desperate at this point. Changes are now being made which are serious feature regressions. How did they become so incompetent?
  16. Hi Jordan, Do you know when send to car will work again for MM19 systems with Lexus link plus? This feature did work on MM19 with the old app, but not with the new. Thanks, Paul
  17. Totally agree with you. I just "upgraded too and lost that ability, as well as the ability to change some vehicle settings, and the 12V battery status is no long there. They have been replaced with a load of irrelevant settings (for me) for BEVs. Combined with the CANbus security issues, it seems like things are going south quite rapidly. Total lack of software testing is amateurish.
  18. I see. It's totally fine for me on the RX. Heats the correct amount and then lowers the heat and then turns off. (same for cooling in the summer) I believe there are some sensitivity settings in the menus to make the seats a bit hotter or colder than the default (gen 4 RX does not have climate concierge for the steering wheel, only the seats). Can't remember where those are but I think you can change sensitivity from something like -3 to +3. I guess the RZ will have similar settings somewhere in the screen? Paul
  19. Sergey, I believe they should turn off after a while once things have warmed up (at least they do on the RX and I would expect the RZ to behave similarly). Paul
  20. Stuart, I've never had a GS but I had trouble with special characters on my wife's NX recently. All I can say is that I eventually found a way to get the keyboard into a mode to display the special characters. One button or another does it! Not by the car so can't comment on what to push - just that it does exist. No idea why mp3s might not be playing from CD - never tried that myself. As for the usb sticks, have you moved them to different ports to be sure it's the stick and not the port? Otherwise generally newer models have more flexibility in terms of formats and sizes than old. And you mean it doesn't work at all - not even recognised? Paul
  21. MM17 and MM19 are certainly updated every 6 months. It seems MM21 is, for some reason, less frequent. Paul
  22. I can confirm that the 2023v2 maps are out and work fine for MM19 systems when loaded with usb. It is supposed to be based on Q1 2023 map data. Advice is to avoid OTA updates as this removes speed camera modifications on MM19 (not sure about on MM21...) However, if you have the vehicle internet connected, at least some speed camera data comes over the network connection (eg average speed checks etc) so these do seem to be up to date. Paul
  23. Colin, My problem at the moment is that even waiting 12 months for resolutions (with new or older models) doesn't seem to do it. The CANbus issue had been going on for well over a year before any action was taken (as you say, only at the point where taking no action became untenable), and I still have an excel sheet of bugs for MM19 that they will not fix. Radly internet radio (provided with the WiFi box in 2019-2022 vehicles approximately) has only worked for me for about 3 months and apparently because hardly anyone complains about it not working, it will not get fixed. There are broken links for Radly on the My Lexus website, still there after the recent site refresh. Clearly nobody tested the website. Cloud services are unreliable for MM19 users, let alone what I read about for MM21 users and user profile issues. I have never owned a GS-F but as an observer on this website the carbon fibre trim situation looked clear. Wireless android auto anyone? It will be interesting to watch the progress of the sales figures. Sales of the gen 5 RX in its launch year seem a lot lower than the gen 4 in its launch year. Not such an easy comparison perhaps because of a differing world situation but interesting nonetheless. How many gen 4 RX owners would buy a gen 5 having watched the CANbus saga play out on their gen 4 vehicles. OK, perhaps the gen 5 doesn't have that specific issue, but the track record of puting things right is poor and so what happens to your gen 5 RX when a new issue is identified with that? Once bitten.... But all of this is in the back drop of fundamentally very reliable vehicles with a very good warranty scheme. It feels a bit of a contradiction. Paul
  24. They are almost in the top spot... But LR is just hanging on with the RR Sport... https://evfleetworld.co.uk/hybrid-lexus-rx-450h-now-uks-second-most-stolen-and-recovered-vehicle-says-tracker
  25. It's most vehicles produced from around 2015 to 2022 that have CANbus controlled headlights. So this includes ES, NX, RX, LC, LS, UX, IS and I think the facelift GS MK4 etc. Paul
